It was a great time. The service was outstanding. The food was terrific. We had a lot of fun. And walked away surprisingly full!
We love this place - Kate is the best!! Wish you gave couples more privacy, the shared bench is not optimal when you're in a date dropping $150 for dinner! Rethink that set up, we asked hostess and she insisted it was all they had! On a Friday night at 8:45pm, boo! :-(
Terrible service. We were very excited about chocolate fondue, but our waiter dropped off our dessert menu at 9pm and returned at 9:40 pm. He was incredibly inattentive and we skipped dessert. It was very loud in the restraurant, which we didn't realize appeared to double as a sports bar. Not very fondue relaxing when people are yelling at the game. Food quality was mediocre at best. Will not return. Have had great experiences at the melting pot in downtown Seattle and North Carolina, but Bellevue was just a sad experience.
It was a great experience. The server was wonderful, and the manager was very attentive. The food was fabulous as always.
Our go to family restaurant... food always exceptional and conversations around food!!!
The server we had was amazing! She was very helpful in helping us decide what to order and made sure that we were taken care of the whole evening. I would return to this restaurant just for that particular server!
Staff were friendly and gave great service. Eating fondue is a wonderful experience to eat leisurely and to have great conversation.
It's hard to tell whether the food is more expensive because of Washington's minimum wage law (in a practice I deeply dislike, they add a 3% surcharge instead of just building it into the menu prices), but it's gotten more expensive than I remember. Four-course dinner for two, plus one small glass of wine and one cocktail, was well over $100. We had a groupon that brought it down by about $50, which made it worth the money for a special date. We wouldn't have bothered with the salads if they hadn't been included with the groupon; they're the least special part of the meal. The new soft-pretzel bites with the cheese fondue were delicious, and the standard array of dippers for the chocolate fondue were as tasty as usual. There was precious little chocolate fondue for $21, though. ($10.50/person)
i felt the quality had gone down a lot since the last time I visited, also there was a wedding going on at the same time and it seems like everything shut down except for that
Restaurant is very dark, very bad sound and no music. You can hear everyone's conversations.
The service sounded or was delivered so quickly like the a script the four of us look at each other and requested she restate every work she said.
Not a good experience
Robert was our server. He did an outstanding job. He took the time to explain every aspect of the cooking process. Since we had ever been there before it was very helpful.
Thanks for a real treat.
not enough quantity, If you order fondu as your main course.
Wonderful experience! We celebrated our 50th Anniversary by having a 4 course lunch at Melting Pot. The server was very attentive and the manager brought our wine to the table. We had a great time and recommend this place for any special occasion.
Had an absolute great time. The staff was awesome as usual any time I go here. They understand that a night out at the Melting Pot is an evening of fun!
Our server Robert was great! Top notch recommendations and really great service throughout the night and whole experience.
We went after the Seahawks game and easily found street parking. The restaurant was not too busy, but we had to wait for the hostesses to figure out where to seat us and another couple. Our waitress was very friendly and helpful. The dinner took between 90 to 120 min to eat, without dessert. We enjoyed the cheese fondue and had a variety of meats. The chocolate fondue looked really yummy, but we were tired and didnt feel like it that night. We'll have to have it next time.
Great service and the food was delicious as always. My only issue is that they now apply a 3% service charge without any explanation as to why it was applied, and they started charging extra for any broth option other than the basic one. It was unexpected to get an extra $7 on the bill for a broth option that really didn't seem to be $7 better than the basic.
You go in knowing it is a more expensive dining experience, but the overall menu price increases, paying between $7 and $10 extra for only slightly different broth options, and a non-optional and unexplained 3% service charge makes it an even more seldom dining choice. They don't realize that a lot of people will subtract the service charge from the tip, especially if the charge is unexplained.
This was our first time here and we enjoyed the experience. It is definitely an active dinnner and fun dine out for family and friends. I would go back.
I made Openable reservations and used Groupon. The atmosphere was just average, food ok,
Service very good.
I won't be coming here again as I could spend just as much at an upscale and enjoy the ambiance.
I might suggest happy hour and one could enjoy cheese fondue and a drink instead of a very expensive dinner not really worth it
The Melting Pot never disappoints. It's pricey but worth it. We go every year as a special occasion before my girlfriend returns to Poland. This last trip may be our best yet. The food was divine, and the whole process is fun.
Make sure to make a reservation in advance, they can fill up fast. Saturday afternoon we tried to make a reservation for Saturday night, and they were full up. Fortunately, we were able to go on Sunday night.
We had a wonderful meal experience at Melting Pot. The service was a bit slow at first but our waitress seemed to be doing double duty. Our food came out timely and everything was absolutely delicious. Even the salad which surprised us. This was our second time in a year so definitely a favorite.
The perfect balance of fancy date night and casual (it's hard to be the ULTIMATE fancy when you're dipping things in cheese ;)) . We've been in several times and every time the food has been amazing. There were a couple times tonight when it felt like we were waiting an abnormally long time with boiling water in front of us and no fondue, but it isn't usually like that. Over all it was a good experience.
Skip the boiled meat "main course". Just go for the cheese course and the dessert course! Much yummier and better prices too. Yum!
Amazing service and our server Jenna was fun and funny!!
Food was surprisingly good and we left there full. It was warm inside and noisy. (Note to folks who easily overheat or don't hear well.) Or maybe go sometime other than a Saturday night, which is when we went. The estimate of 2. 5 hrs for 4 courses was right on the nose for our party of three. I look forward to next time so we can try out additional Fondue recipes.
I've been to other Melting Pot locations and enjoyed myself better. The seating is terrible, my server was below par and the food was just mediocre. I won't be returning to this location.
The manager interrupted my meal 4 times because the paperwork I brought from Groupon didn't have the code on it. I eventually found it on my email with the help of my neices' husband, but kept trying to enjoy my guests and he kept bugging me. Waiter was good and food was Left a $40 tip. I would have paid the total bill, but he didn't ask me that. Was truly mortified
It was so hot that sweat was cascading down my neck. This is not a good summer restaurant.
Expect to get a lot of food. It's served at an easy pace - they do not rush you. Ambiance is great - tables are far enough apart to be able to have a private celebration/conversation.
We've been to the Melting Pot several times and this won't be our last. Great place!
Food was pretty good and more than enough...
a unique dining experience overall...
service was at times very slow, and there were several errors in the orders that had to be corrected causing more delays...
our table was in the smaller back dining area, on a pretty nice, but warm, evening. with cook tops at each table, the room became very hot... to the point that each of us had to leave the table at times just to cool off a bit.
This place was lovely. I was seated right away and the staff was amazing.
This was our second time at the Melting Pot. We love the "fondue" concept....especially the cheese fondue at the beginning of the dinner course.
We have become fans of the Bellevue location. We will be back.
Everything was great, however, our server Kyle was truly exceptional. Definitely still be coming back to Bellevue!
My friend and I went with a Groupon. It had been a very long time since we had gone before, though. The whole experience was wonderful, except our mixed drinks, which we didn't care care for, at all.
The one my friend ordered was of the summer menu and tasty, but very very sweet.
I asked for a gin mojito. It wasn't good. Next time, please have the waiter ask if you're not sure how to make something. It was the worst one I'd ever had, to be honest.
Our experience beyond that was fabulous! Out waiter was very friendly & helpful. My friend and I sat and talked for hours. It was great for us to be able to do that.
We were in a back corner of the restaurant and it was so hot....made it difficult to completely enjoy the occassion
Purchased as a Groupon, for 4 people, 1st impression, outside doors filthy, 1st table they tried sitting us at filthy, the groupon was valued at $195 for a 3 course meal,
food WAS NOTHING SPECIAL, was expecting more quality food, for example, the bite size bread, was substandard, for 4 people, we got 2 medium potatoes to split, luckily 14yr and 17 yr old were impressed, and waiter Johnnie was fun and gave us wonderful service, but with drinks/dessert and taxes and min 15% tip, was $111.00 and spent $116 for groupon total $227.00, was absolutely NOT WORTH IT, was very disappointed.
We only come here once in a few years and I'm afraid we're not coming back. The prices went a bit up but the amount of food is so minuscule that we couldn't stop wondering if this was the right order. Cheese fondue was enough to cover only half of the bread and the veggies. Pacific Rim came on a tiny plate, size of an appetizer. Funny though, they now have three fondue forks while for the given amount of food one should be enough.
I'm afraid the service requires some mentioning too. We've waited and waited for our waitress and when she appeared she'd only spend seconds waiting on a table. We needed extra plate and we had to grab another waiter to get it. No water for a long time, refill took forever. Somehow the whole ambiance made us feel very unwelcome. Things have changed a lot in this restaurant and not in a right direction. Food and service do not match up the price.
Terrible service!! Wouldn't recommend to anybody looking to spend that kind of money to cook your own dinner!! Will never eat there again. Had to ask the buss boy if our waitress was still working so we could get fresh drinks after 50 mins sitting there waiting to get some water. Also, 2 1/2 hours for dinner is way too long to be there. Had reservations for 7:30 and didn't finish dinner until 10 pm. VERY DISAPPOINTED!!!
