We always enjoy Melting pot. One of our favorites for a long time!
Melting Pot was a mostly good experience, we enjoyed the time with our friends and it was fun. There were a few things that could have been better with actual food experience. For example; the menu is rather limited, in that you can only select one cheese and one cooking method. For a part of 4 we paid over $300 for our dinner and at least 2 of us didn't actually get food we wanted to eat (I would have preferred the Caribbean cooking method). Based on that, I don't recommend the 4 course dinner, they will try to sell you on the benefits and we went with their recommendation. In reality, IMHO, we would have been much better off ordering a few items alacart. When you are a party of 4, maybe consider booking 2 separate tables, close to each other so you can have 2 separate cooking methods etc..
Service was very slow and neglectful
Used a Groupon, which helped to bring the cost down. The food was fantastic. It was a Tuesday night, so pretty quiet which was nice for a date. Very good service.
Our server was so nice and friendly and the food was amazing! So delicious!! :)
Our waitress was kind and they attempted to improve our experience however we were celebrating our Wedding anniversary and were seated in a noisy Birthday party section, didn’t receive water or assistance for the first 20min of our reserved dinner. When the entree round came the oil was set too hot and we were left with burnt food. They replaced the oil and meat just for it to happen again. I have never had such a difficult experience before at the Melting Pot. As I said they did try to help but for the price we paid we could have had two nights out that were more satisfactory and been seated in a more intimate area where we could at least hear each other.
Our server was great and the food was amazing. Will be returning again soon!
Our server Soriya was awesome. We told her we were in a crunch for time, and she made sure we got out on time. She was very friendly.
Excellent service. High quality food. A bit overpriced and expensive.
We love to visit the Melting Pot, however the service is SO freaking slow. Our waitress was so nice and sweet but for all the love that is holy, 3 hours it took to complete our meal. We just sat and sat and sat between each meal/course. We arrived early at 5:45pm and our reservations were at 6:15 so we decided to get a drink from the bar. We stood there for 20 minutes trying to get a drink. There were only 2 people at the bar. The bartender was literally waiting tables, etc and by the time it was time to order, he declined our happy hour prices as it was now after 6pm. (had we not had to wait 20 minutes, that wouldn't of been an issue). We love the food and the experience but the wait really put a damper on things. This happened last time but we wanted to give it another try. Also, the prices are a bit high. Cesar Side salad was $12. Desert for 4; $48!! just desert! So, I doubt we'll be back any time soon which is a bummer.
This was my first time to the Melting Pot and I have to admit I was pretty disappointed. The food was good, Ty, our server was great and friendly but the price! My goodness! Up charges for everything! We had a Groupon and even with the discount we spent over $60 on our meal. Can’t say I’ll be back but glad I had the experience.
This is a great place to come for lunch or dinner whether it’s a date or a group, it’s delicious and a fun experience
This is the 5th time we've dined at this Melting Pot location. Always delicious, always enjoyable. May become our Anniversary dinner permanent destination.
Overpriced and they overcharged me for the kids meals Refused to upgrade my table to a two burner in an empty restaurant. I have tried to reach out to corporate but they have not replied.
Thank you for making our anniversary dinner great. We enjoyed the food and the service. I'd love to come again and try another main course.
Overall definitely experience based dining. Had to ask for another drink 4 times before I got it, but then they brought me 2 on the house. Slow paced as expected as servers are heavily involved with each table.
Typically we have a very good experience here, however it seemed like they couldn’t get us out the door quickly enough. Our whole meal lasted about an hour and we weren’t offered waters (I had to ask during dessert to finally get one water for myself, never mind that my boyfriend never got one), and it took about 20 minutes and asking our server again to drink my boyfriend his cocktail. It wasn’t even busy that night, but we definitely felt forgotten about and left feeling mildly annoyed. We were there celebrating a major career move and we felt like we were being pushed out the door while also being forgotten about. It was such an odd experience.
We had a wonderful time. The food was excellent, and our server was very attentive and friendly.
Servive was good until we brought to our servers attention that they were giving us dirty dishes to eat off. They were out of oil so took over an hour for entrees to arrive. We kept having to flag people down to get any kind of help with anything, Management was aware of issues and didn't care they just avoided our table. The menu was changed but they did not make us aware of that when we were ordering they waited until we brought up the issue. We have dined there before years ago and had a good experience the workers and management have brought down the restaurant. I sincerely hope that this review makes a difference as it ruined our evening in which we were celebrating birthdays. This was the worst experience we have ever had in a restaurant ever. We left due to the issue and paid $250 for a horrible experience.
I was not at all impressed with Melting Pot Bellevue, and will not recommend this location to anyone...go to Queen Anne! I’ve been to the Queen Anne location several times, and always came away with a “Wow” experience. Bellevue felt like a third-rate restaurant trying to be classy, and not succeeding. The service was marginal at best, as the server barely knew the menu and how to make recommendations. The food was decent, but the ambiance (maybe it’s because we were stuffed in the back) just felt like I was eating in an upscale cafeteria. We will never go back.
We have dined at Melting pot several times and this visit was because our 7 yr old chose it for his birthday. We arrived to an empty restaurant but were told tp wait for the table. Why?? We were never asked if it was our first time in, etc just rushed into ordering right then. The service was very rushed with little if any personality or regard that people were still eating. The food was mediocre at best, especially considering the price. Not sure we will return any time soon. Too expensive for mediocre service and food.
We love it here...always fun, friendly service and the Alpine cheese fondue—-ahhhh!!!😊
The service was great and I always love cheese :) melting pot isn’t quite as nice of an experience as it should be for the price you pay. Steam from the pot was blowing in my face the entire time so I could barely see my husband across the table. Melting Pot is great for cheese fondue and dessert but I strongly recommend skipping the 4 course meal. It just wasn’t worth the price.
We love coming to the melting pot for birthdays, unfortunately our burner on our table malfunctioned and heated up two separate pots of oil too hot. Resulting in oil popping and hitting us. Our waiter was super sweet and kept trying to adjust the temp and even brought out another pot of oil to see if he could get the correct temp. Unfortunately it heated the batter on the outside too quickly and the meat and vegetable were not cooked correctly on the inside. He later came and told us his manager said they have had troubles with that table before. If this is the case why seat customers there until it is fixed? We were fortunate the oil barely hit our skin, but still startled us when it did. There was no offer of comping a meal or a discount. I am not sure if I will visit the melting pot again after this visit.
We come often to the melting pot especially for endless fondue! It’s one of our favorites! Our server was fantastic! The food was fantastic as usual! I tell people to go all the time!
The fondue experience is fun, but the quality of the food is mediocre when looking at price. When ordering cheese, you get bread, raw veggies, and apples to dip- nothing too spectacular. Cocktails are yummy though.
Horrid. Waiter argued with me about options then had the chutzpah to tell me that military discount is only honored on Monday’s when in the past I have always received a discount regardless of day.
Wonderful place to go. There lunch are only serviced on the weekends, but it's well worth it. My son and I always go before we go to a concert downtown. Nice relaxing time. We didn't feel rushed or anything.
Thought it was overpriced for what we got.
Ive probably been to 5 different Melting pot locations in my life and i normally love to dine at the melting pot for special occasions, but i will never return to this Bellevue location again. To start off i made a reservation for 630 PM on a Tuesday night. I got off work early and was hungry so we decided to head on over to the restaurant. We arrived an hour before the reservation noticing the front room which had 6 tables to be completely empty so we asked if we could be seated early. The Hostess gave us an irritated look and rudely said we would need to wait until our reservation at 630. Understanding that there might be other reservations taking up the empty tables we obliged and waited until our scheduled time. When we arrived back at 630 the restaurant looked the exact same, plenty of open tables. While waiting to be seated another couple without a reservation walked in and the host told them the next possible seating would be at 830 which again took us by surprise due to the amount of empty tables. In regards to the meal itself the food was wonderful as always, but im not too surprised since it is a chain restaurant it cant be too hard to mess up fondue. By the time we finished out meal it was close to 9 PM. Looking around the room only one other group had been seated still leaving 4 open tables, which was very irritating since we, and another couple were told they were too busy to be seated any earlier than we were. All in all the food was great, but none of the encounters i had with staff were very welcoming at all, which is so unlike the other locations ive been to. I can positively say i will never return to the Bellevue location ever again
I was very excited to see the promo for children eating free in combination with the magician and seeing as we had never been to the Melting Pot before, thought we would try. The hostess was kind and our server was so sweet...
The experience for my six and nine year old was fun, they loved the whole idea of the melted cheese, the boiling pot, steam, cooking and dipping your food, etc. BUT, IT TOOK WAY TOO LONG FROM START TO FINISH. They should not have to sit for over two hours for one meal, it was hard to keep them entertained.
The pricing after all was said and done was not what I expected. We left at $97 and with tip, $120. I get that it is a different experience but the portions were not comparable to the price, at all. That was with no alcohol, to boot.
Lastly, the magician did ONE trick at the table. If the advertisement is stating that the event is happening for a certain amount of time, over two hours, one would expect more than one three minute trick with him ending it by handing us his business card and telling us to drum up more business. A huge turn off!
The concept is fantastic, I understand that. I would simply clean it up. I was disappointed between what was advertised and what was experienced.
tl:dr - cheese was ok but expensive, chocolate was delicious, service was excellent
The cheese fondue was a good consistency, but the cheese flavor was mild and the beer flavor shone through. I am not a fan of beer or beer taste, so the cheese fondue was fine. The bread dippers were soft and flavorful, but the seasonal fruit dippers were soft and the vegetable dippers were sparse.
The chocolate fondue was delicious and the dippers were tasty. The fruit was a little soft, but it was still good. My only problem was that the fondue we ordered, the turtle fondue, said it came with caramel AND pecans on the menu, and the fondue we received had CARMELIZED pecans. Totally different thing in my book.
The service was amazing. This was the first time we each had had fondue, or had been to the melting pot, and our server dealt perfectly with our questions and requests and explained everything perfectly.
Overall, I would say, if you enjoy beer flavor and are willing to shell out 60+ dollars for two people, then the melting pot is the place for you.
Service was top notch! Our server Aspen was incredible and the bartender was great. The general manager even stopped by our table to make sure we were having a great experience. Pricey special occasion place, but totally worth it.
Food was flavorless and overpriced.. will not come back.
As always, we had a wonderful experience at Melting Pot for our son's birthday. A couple of the old 4 course choices are off the menu, which we missed, but with a build your own or a substitute here or there, we got the entrée items we wanted. Our server was fairly new, but she did great. We enjoy the slower paced, time to talk while things are cooking sort of meal once in a while. We would recommend the 4 course route. Tried the spinach and artichoke appetizer fondue for the first time and it was very good.
We had a couple of small issues with the bill, but nothing significant enough to ask for correcting... a wine flight with 2 different prices on two different menus and a third price on the bill... my wife asked for and was charged for a latte but there machine was broken and she just got coffee... and the silly 3% surcharge for the minimum wage boost which is no longer listed in any of the print I looked at, but does show up on the bill.
We don't go often as it is very expensive, but we always enjoy it when we do.
I’m a regular customer at Melting Pot in Bellevue. All great! No negative experience.
Food was great! We don’t have a fondue restaurant in Hawaii so we enjoyed the experience! Our waiter was awesome and explained what to do and recommended which cheese to try. Will be back on our next vacation to Seattle!
Really amazing fondue... especially the dark chocolate desserts.
We love this spot for a (usually) quiet date night experience. Personal service with great attention to detail, tasty dishes and drink specials. I recommend the happy hour for the best bang for the buck.
