My friend won a free lunch for two from a Facebook contest a couple months ago so we were there for that. Our waitress is so nice and helped us with the couple questions we had. The food and drinks were AMAZING like usual. It wasn’t our first time going but I would say it was definitely one of my favorite visits!
Was an excellent evening. They catered to whatever needs we had and definitely gave good service especially since it was my girlfriends birthday.
The simple request in the reservation I had was to just wish my gf a happy birthday which to my surprise the general manager came and wished it so it was an excellent evening and would recommend to everyone
Took our almost 3 year old and the server was great with accommodating her! Great dinner!
Great food, great drinks, overall great atmosphere!
The food is as good as Seattle's MP. But the seating isn't so good.. the booths sit way too low compared to the tables.
I have been a long time patron of the Melting pot. I usually visit the Seattle location so Bellevue was new for me.
First of all I reserved a table about 5 days ahead of time and requested a double burner. when I got a call to confirm my reservation I was informed that they do not look at notes on the requests online until the day of and they had already given the double burner tables away. My issue was that a member of our party had allergies and it made it harder for all of us to agree to food. Why allow special request on reservations if the restaurant doesn't check them.. Secondly the waitress spilled red salad dressing all over 2 of the guests and in return we were given a free drink.. a free drink was not enough to cover their expenses. We let it go because by this time we were just wanting to eat.. Then lastly our bill was brought to the table and the bill was wrong. I was charged for all the drinks from the other couple we were with. At this point we just paid and walked out. I usually mention this right away however there were so many issues that we just decided to leave and never return. I just hope that someone sees this and addresses it.. I love the Melting pot but after my last visit I will no be returning to the Bellevue location
My wife and I went there for lunch, the 4 cheese thing was amazing as well as the banana white chocolate fondue. The service was awesome as well.
I have been to a Melting Pot before, however I found the Bellevue Melting Pot to not be as worth the money. It was loud and the service wasn't that great. The atmosphere was weird almost felt like a sports bar. Our server was awkward and didn't explain the process to us or provide that top notch service that I was expecting. It was not only our server, but many of the servers here. They were going in and out of the kitchen door loudly, almost hitting a few guests. The bartender was not eager to see us or engage in conversation, and I was just overall disappointed. As always, the food was great, but a major part of coming to a melting pot is the service, and that just wasn't there for me.
This is a fun activity for group or family. It’s expensive for the food provided, so the event of the novelty of fondue is the reason to go. Service was poor—as it often is in places that are trying to rotate tables quickly with formulaic menus. Inconsiderate, rude hostesses letting people stand around without a greeting and many many tables open. Waiter who missed bringing every glass for wine flight on time. Last glass came with check! Still charged full price. And so on. So come for the fun of fondue not for great or even decent service.
Alpine cheese was just OK. Didn't feel like a strong cheese Fondue.
The Melting Pot used to be our favorite restaurant but it's been declining year over year. The portions are getting smaller and smaller. Used to be that we left feeling stuffed and happy. Now, we leave unsatisfied. It's way overpriced considering the food isn't even cooked! I just don't understand why it's so expensive and they just keep reducing portion sizes. Very disappointed. And our server just didn't seem all that interested in being there that night.
Cheese pot was beautiful, only complain, need more cheese :)
We had the cheese and chocolate fondues. The cheese fondue tasted very good. My family does not eat meat. For 4 of us they gave us bread and a very tiny bowl of vegetables. There was simply not enough food. For $18 per person, this place is pricey. The chocolate fondue was great.
We drove 1.15 hours and it was worth the drive!! Great night in the city with friends! Yummy dinner, great service, fun experience!
The service from everyone but the waitress was sub-par. Our waitress was great and the only thing that kept us there. I've never seen such unenthusiastic employees. The food was decent, but not worth $50+ a person.
The Melting Pot never disappoints, and this time was no exception. They did a great job of "dressing up" the space to make it feel special for Valentines Day. I loved the red carpet and rope & stanchions at the entrance. Our server was "new", but did a fantastic job and was very careful regarding our food allergies (gluten). Food was terrific and, as always, more than we could eat. Great place, great food, great time.
The food was delicious, but the surcharge was unexpected and unacceptable. The policy of charging a "Living Wage" or "Minimum Wage" surcharge is becoming increasingly common in the area, but it is by no means welcome. Several restaurants have been called out for such practices and, as a result, have discontinued it, opting instead to raise the prices of their menu items, as a business understandably must do when wages are to be increased for employees. Having a separate surcharge as a result of a vote to increase minimum wage acts as a political statement by the restaurant, a statement that comes off as the establishment openly rejecting the community's decision that workers should be paid a more competitive rate, as the market dictates. Shoving this view onto the customer in the form of a surprising surcharge can then understandably be seen by the customer as a political maneuver, and one that is not welcome for many a restaurant goer. As a result of this experience, I will not be returning to Melting Pot in Bellevue, WA until this surcharge has been removed from their menu. I will happily pay a little bit more for menu items as a reasonable alternative, but this practices has left a bad taste in my mouth for your restaurant.
Perfect place for a nice cup of coffee. Everyone just gets the food but nobody talks about how great the coffee is. As you sip it the aroma fills your nostril and combines with the liquid in your throat and gives you that smoky coffee taste.
Great server and great food
Went for Valentine's Day with my wife and we very much enjoyed the meal and time together. We were able to clearly hear each other which was nice. Not too noisy and our server, Allie, was awesome.
Incredible food. A real dining experience. The four course meal is huge. Make sure you come hungry.
Great food. Friendly service. Always nice for a special occasion.
Such a great date spot!!!
great meal and service. the little kid jumping around at the table next to us was rather annoying especially after she put her hand on the hot cook top and burned her hand. parents were oblivious to their children's behavior or the looks from surrounding tables (until she started screaming, then they paid attention)
34th Wedding Anniversary.
was there for valentines day. food was good - it's the same melting pot menu. i can't complain. but service was so slow. 30 min delay on reservation. to sum it up it was terribly slow service, understaffed, and outdated interior. not the typical melting pot experience we were expecting. very disappointing.
We've been here a couple of times and it has always been great. This time there was a couple with a 2 year old that wouldn't stop crying. We spent $267 on dinner for 2. No fault of the restaurant but we would've preferred a quieter atmosphere.
The service was very slow.
The foods were just okay.
We have to wait 10 minutes before seated.
Pretty good experience, but the food delivery felt rushed. We got each course before the last was finished, and then when the food was dropped off the waiter was nowhere to be found. Also, the dessert was disappointing. We’ve been to the melting pot 10+ times (it’s our favorite) and it seems like they decided to skimp on the dessert dippers. I missed my favorite marshmallows, and instead got pretzels.
We came for the evening happy hour. The cheese and chocolate was amazing and half off, but our bread was stale.
Been there 4 times and this last experience was the worst. We were a table of 3 and the server was more attentative to a table of 5 because her tip was going to be bigger. She didn't get out endless entree options correct. Worst service we ever received.
Fun! Great Service. The endless fondue special was fantastic!
It was great just a little dark
I always enjoy going to The Melting Pot. It’s a great place to have a date night or to catch up with friends. If you do all 4-courses, be prepared to be there for 2-3 hours. It’s a very long and time consuming process, but very fun! I went with my friend who is on a gluten free diet and she was able to eat everything! They had gluten free bread for the cheese fondue, and just substituted out specific meats and desserts for the other courses that weren’t gluten free. It was awesome for her to be able to enjoy the entire meal without any complications. I was very impressed. :)
We were well taken care of at this visit for my daughter's 11th birthday. There's a lot more interaction at dinner at this restaurant since we work together to time our food cooking and share the food with each other. We enjoyed the cheese fondue, loved the Big Eats and the milk chocolate fondue for dessert. The Green Goddess dip is our favorite with veggies as well as many of the meats. Our waitress brought us refills. This is a favorite special occasion restaurant for my family.
Great meal..very expesnsive. I didn't like it that o had to pay s extra surcharge to cover the minimum wage increase. The meal was very exsoebsive I think the restaurant could afford to pay their employees minimum wage.
The quality of the food is def below par. The bread brought out was the day old version of bread. The veggies look like they have been sitting on a counter for a week. The steak meal brings 3 types of below grade beef that all taste the same. My daughter loves
To go every year on her birthday which is why we came back after last years terrible overpriced dinner. I do not recommend this place to anyone , esp for the price!
I would rather spend my $50 somewhere else. Boiled vegatables and meat dipped is souce? Not sure why people like that at all..may be melting pot is not for me
Very nice place to eat, staff was very nice, can be a little loud, but overall a place I would love to visit more often.
We had a 7:30 PM reservation but arrived early; we had to wait until exactly 7:30 because there had been "a lot of walk-ins" and they were short-staffed on a weekday. We were asked about our drink choices right away and they arrived promptly, but after the pot was put down for the first course (cheese fondue) we waited...and waited...for the server to arrive with the cheese and the foods for dipping. (The wait was so long that all the water in the lower section of the pot had evaporated while we were still eating that course, and the fondue burned a little.) The entree course arrived promptly after we had finished the first course, and the dessert course (chocolate fondue) arrived promptly after that. Overall a pretty good service experience. The selection of entree items was excellent (we had the "Big Night Out"), and of course since we cooked it ourselves at the table it was done just the way we like. I have been to the Bellevue Melting Pot twice now, and the Tampa, Florida, location once, and I would recommend this to friends and family when a fun time and a change of pace are needed...as long as one has the funds. (With drinks, extra dessert, tip, etc. the bill for two of us was over $150.)
