The food was good, but service was below par. Excessive wait times for drinks, food came out wrong 3 times, bill was all screwed up, and and server kept kicking our feet, table, and knocking our silver ware on the ground. For a $150 meal, I expect much better.
It was really amazing. My group of friends were there for prom and I thought it was so welcoming that they made a prom menu for the occasion. It made the meal affordable but still delicious.
Celebrating birthday. Staff was excellent and brought complimentary champagne. Delicious dinner, great wait staff and management!
Heather was the best waitress I've encountered at melting pot. Drinks always filled, food spaced out right, very friendly personality.
The melting pot never disappoints. I had a great time here and the food was absolutely delicious. Had to knock it down to 4 stars because I felt a little rushed by our waiter, but the manager and rest of staff was very nice and helpful.
Great food. Something a little different, making it a fun experience. Great service. Only knock is that it's a bit pricey; otherwise we'd come more often.
Food was great, concept was awesome great for a fun date night or family get together.
Such a fun way to celebrate a birthday! The fondue experience made the meal. And service was spot on.
Love the cheese fondue! Service is always amazing!
I have been to several different "The Melting Pot"s and this was my favorite. it's a bit too expensive for everyday dining but it's super for a special occasion. We always enjoy the food and it is very conducive for romantic conversation. A+
Wonderful as always!
One of the best experiences at a restaurant we've had! Went for my boyfriend's birthday and was graciously gifted champagne as a roast for his birthday. Loved the four course dining experience but you can really work the menu into being affordable as well! Definitely will be coming back!
Great dinner for a special occasion. Will be back!
Great dining experience! Just bring a big appetite and time on your hands because you will want to enjoy the moment! We ordered the 4-course meal and it was really wonderful and tasty! My favorite are the cheese fondue and the dessert fondues. It comes with a lot of food so be prepared to eat and share!
Really enjoyed the melting pot even though the waitress was a bit rude.
Arrived on time for reservation but wasn’t seated until 25 mins after reservation time. Was unhappy with this inconvenience, but the staff was very kind and accommodating to help alleviate the issue.
Swung by here for my birthday - it was incredible. The food and drinks were delicious, our server was lovely, and each booth had its own privacy so you could really share the moment with who you were with! Although a bit pricey, you definitely get what you pay for. I would recommend this to anyone looking for a fun time.
This was a fantastic experience, the food was yummy and our server Maria was the best! Will definitely return.
I love Melting Pot! This particular night though the waiter made several mistakes (which happens). Usually I’d say it’s an easy 4 stars all around 👍🏻. I’ve tried just about everything on the menu and it’s all tasty. I’d avoid the potato cheese option unless you want to dip into what feels like really cheesy potato soup. The Brie and Bacon is great, as well as the spinach artichoke. On this visit the lobster was amazing! They brought a garlic butter dipping sauce and we cooked in the coq au vin cooking style. We were celebrating my mom’s birthday and she got chocolate covered strawberries (sign up for their emails) and they brought the table champagne!
It is always best to make a reservation for weekend visits as the place can actually get booked really quickly. Otherwise, every time I've been here the service has always been great, and the food options as well! I love pairing wine with each dish, it makes for an elevated experience.
This was our first time here and it was more than what we expected. Delicious steak lover four course meal. Dessert was delicious as well.
Most excellent! Food was delicious, atmosphere very comfortable and quiet. Service some of the very best in Austin. Facility needs a facelift, otherwise 5-Star all across the board.
It was a lot of fun. Waitress was great too and staff was friendly as well. Great experience!
Our waitress was very attentive, and helped make our experience wonderful.
Tanya's tips: cheese and chocolate are the best food offered - skip any other courses and get right to the good stuff! If they're full, consider eating at the bar. They can only offer cheese and chocolate courses, but see tip #1. Finally, the most popular items are most popular because they're delicious. Try that Alpine cheese and the original milk chocolate and peanut butter sometime.
Been coming to the Melting Pot for about 12 years for birthdays, anniversaries, and when guests are in town. Love this place!
I had the 4 course meal, but I would go again just for the cheese/chocolate fondue! One thing that disappointed - I brought my 9 month old daughter. They have high chairs available, but no changing table in the bathrooms. Maybe install one so we don't have to change our babies on the bathroom floor, or leave them in a wet/dirty diaper until we leave.
Great food and service, this is the best one we have been to. Will definitely be going back.
Good job. Everything was enjoyable.
Alecia was excellent as our server. She was appropriately attentive, personable, informative. We have always received excellent service here and she among the best.
The food is also always great; this visit was no exception.
We will definitely be back.
The Melting Pot has always been a favorite of ours for 3 years. An experiential dining experience and fun for all. Wonderful flavors and lots of choices for many different tastes!
Our waiter made inappropriate comments to my fiance.
It has been a long time since I’ve been to a Melting Pot restaurant. I will say this one was exceptionally amazing. Not only did the hostess confirm my reservation, but the ambiance and the food choices were perfect for my first date. It was splendid and I would highly recommend giving this place a try. Plus: the dessert course was to die for; so much desserts to dip in nice warm milk chocolate.
Our server was fantastic, she made our evening even better! The food was wonderful. We are already planning our next birthday event to dine there.
The only problem I had was they didn't have a changing table in the ladies room to change my 2month old
My husband and I love this place 2nd time going and couldn't be more pleased! Always great care, great service, wonderful atmosphere, and amazing food! We will continue to come back and share with our friends!
Every time I come I bring someone that has never been. This time was the first time my server kinda ruined it for us. The person I brought for the first time will never return. I came for my 2 year anniversary and we planned to order all the extras. It’s been a while and was his first time and I told the server that. I had to ask how it was all done. We were never offered once an add on I had to ask for every add on and every add on I had to ask for twice because he never brought them. So the cheese we got the meat add on he dropped some of the meat on the table picked it up with his hands and never offered to relplace the meat that fell. When stirring the cheese he splashed it everywhere even in our wine and never offered to clean it. We ordered the add on lobster tail he forgot to bring it. Again I had to ask. The dessert again I had to ask if there was even an add on which I got and again forgot to bring it. Never once refilled our waters. I was pretty embarrassed after talking this place up so much and that was the service we got. Still tipped 40 on 165
Birthday dinner for daughter .....
I’ve been to the Melting Pot many times. The food is amazing and the service is always fantastic. I highly recommend this restaurant for any occasion.
Very disappointing. Celebrating my wife's 50th birthday with 2 of our friends. We had the moho sauce for our entree. Our friends had the oil. The waitress should have said the oil is like having a deep fryer sitting in front of you instead of saying it's "oil based". Our sauce blew directly into my wife's face the entire time. She told the waitress several times that it was uncomfortable but the waitress did nothing. My wife's eyes started burning and watering. She asked the waitress for napkins to dip in water to rub her eyes. That should have been a clue for the waitress. Eventually the oil "base" started smoking so my friends eyes were burning too. The waitress took the oil away before we were done eating. I has most if my duck and filet mignon still on my plate. For the waitress and I think manager lady to come by several times and see how bad it was and do nothing was horrible. It ruined the rest of our plans for later that evening, and ruined my wife's 50th birthday!!! To spend almost $300 with tip you would expect much better. I will be writing to the corporate office about how poorly this was handled. The waitress says the oil always causes problems so why serve it? And our table obviously had bad positioning that the air causes the smoke to blow directly into a customer's face. I eventually stood so my wife could move over. Very poorly handled by staff. She did not deserve the $45 tip she got. We paid for food we didn't get to eat. And by the time dessert came, we ate very little because we all just wanted to leave. Very upsetting that my wife's 50th birthday was ruined.
