The Melting Pot - Austin - Northwest
We had a fun night! Our server seemed less than enthused when we just ordered the cheese fondue and dessert fondue so that was kind of annoying. The atmosphere is fun and overall we had a fun night
Excellent as usual
Great experience, love the atmosphere, we will definitely be back, and it was very cozy
We went for my son’s birthday. Great meal and service, but very pricey, making this a special occasion place only.
Music was a little loud. It also seemed a little too “Rockin” for the mood they are trying to create. Something softer would have made a huge difference.
We love going to The Melting Pot. Took our kids for the first time and was pleasantly surprised. Would’ve been better to have two pots for 4 of us, but other than that, it was great.
truly the worst dollar for dollar experience ever at a restaurant
Always love my visits to the Melting Pot. It just doesn't get any better for a unique dining experience with quality ingredients. Even the cocktails are spot on! I'm a loyal fan that will keep coming back for more!
The server was excellent! I love the vibe of this restaurant. I will be going back soon!
Awesome experience. Great for any occasion and kid friendly. It takes time to cook the food so if you're in a rush, this is not the place to eat.
The food was excellent as usual. We enjoy being able to select a variety of entree items.
Great place loved it, we go to the melting pot every anniversary and it’s all well worth it. There are times we just go to go food is great.
Food was very underwhelming. The meats were fresh. The bartender didn't greet us; just put a drink menu in front of us and walked away.
We had a wonderful time! The food was amazing and the atmosphere was incredible!
the select your own entre was excellent, for my daughter because she is very picky
We've tried making fondue at home, but it's just not the same! The variety at the Melting Pot can't be beat.
The food was really good went on New Year’s Eve it was a bit overpriced and they had a fixed menu we got the Wisconsin trio cheese I liked it but my wife did not they use a wine base and they didn’t tell you it would overpower the cheese also the seating we got was right next to the air vent which is usually not bad but when you’re cooking with boiling steam and blowing in your face the whole time it’s like a steam bath made it kind of hard to see and enjoy the meal
Nice place, but should not have to buy each child a meal because they barely eat there.
Beautiful experience! Taylor was amazing and helped me with my gluten free needs (Celiac Disease). We all had a wonderful time!
The Melting Pot is a fun place to share and cook your meal!
New Years Eve!!
Was fun experience. Food was great. Drinks were great.
Wonderful! Highly recommend. Our waitress explained the process and made the experience a lot of fun.
Super over priced. Fun with a group decent food not for that kind of money. Desperately needs updated. Bar no more then waiting for a table needs at least 2 tv’s!! Lonnie our waiter was fantastic!!! Kids had fun.
Food was great as usual. Service was lacking. But difference to being not hurried and being ignored, we we were. Went for wife's birthday but no special mention/attention was shown. Dissapointed.
Very relaxing date night with my wife there. Great service great food. Will definitely go again!
Very overpriced food. Service was decent, but thats about the only positive.
It's a fun place to go when you want to have good food and to enjoy it in a relaxed environment. It's a place to go for the evening - where dinner is your event rather than some place to eat and then to go to a movie or a show afterwards.
The melting pot is one of my favorite spots, but would love see more drink specials.
Wonderful aroma as soon as you walk in, small waiting area to compliment the small wait we had to endure. Food was of high quality. I would come back every day if I could get the four course experince for 10$ but that won’t happen. Just the right amount of food. Amazing wine selection.
This was my third experience at the Melting Pot. It’s a lot of fun. Don’t plan on being in a hurry. This time our cost was higher. I suggest just the basic cheese and cooking broth to save money—they are just as good as the other options. We also skipped the salad to make sure we had room for dessert.
We went on a Friday night to celebrate my husband's birthday. With our reservation, we were seated immediately, and we had a great location. Our server, Dakota, was timely and knew the offerings very well. After starting with a bottle of sparkling rose', we had the Wisconsin Trio and French Onion cheese fondues. Both were good with the veggies and bread, and we got the Best of Austin option, so it was accompanied by a great plate of charcuterie. We sampled the 'classic' and 'new' Manhattan cocktails, with mixed preferences at the table; but, we all agreed they both tasted good. Our entrees were the mixed plate with pasta, pork, scallops, filet, and teriyaki steak, and we had the MoJo and Bourguignonne cooking broths. I wish I could have eaten more of the mushrooms, broccoli, and potatoes they put in the broth - yum! We had a nice light red with the entree, which Dakota recommended. Dessert featured Bananas Foster and dark chocolate, which we paired with a glass of port. We had a lovely evening and will be back for another celebration. The limo ride home was very quiet, as everyone digested their fantastic dinner.
Food was good overall. But be prepared for the uncooked meat and it takes longer to cook than the wait staff say. The filet took 10 mins so load up the skewer with 3 pieces to cook faster.
The cheese and dessert were fabulous, totally worth it. The entree not so much, very plain then you pick your sauce, so if you are not a fabulous cook it will be hard to judge the flavor to add/use. Also, the entree portions are huge so be aware. The wait staff does not really inform you of that or judge how many to share.
I gave a fair overall because this was our first time here and we had questions and the wait staff did not seem to want to put up with us. So it was a little disappointing for our first time. Next time we would know what to do.
I was disappointed that my comments from when I made the reservations were ignored. My husband and I have visited this restaurant several time but we brought our friends here for the first time to celebrate their anniversary and that was mentioned in my comments along with my desire to purchase chocolate covered strawberries. There was no acknowledgment of my comment or request when I checked in at the hostess stand nor during our dinner. I also asked the waitress to offer a detailed explanation to our friends about the restaurant and process. Her explanation left them confused and with questions that they asked us to clarify. They thanked us for dinner but expressed they would not return. I must say I'm very disappointed. I've personally come on previous occasions to celebrate my own anniversary and was disappointed with how this experience compares with those previous visits.
Yummy as usual! Our go-to celebration place! Food and service are always excellent!
Everything here is always completely delicious and the servers are so amazing. When we were visiting regularly (like once a month, no joke, we love going here as often as we can), the would have our drinks ready on the table for us and even my favorite colors for the dipping forks! The Cesar salad is incredible - it has these little Parmesan pine nuts on it that I love. And the desserts and cheeses always have a ton of variety so you can really mix up the flavors.
our server, Brandon was one of the best we have had at this restaurant. He was attentive and funny. The food was just as yummy as we remembered
I went here with a group of friends for our “Friendsgiving” dinner and requested a server who would be perky and friendly and they DID NOT DISAPPOINT! Unfortunately, I don’t recall her name but I do recall her hilarious demeanor and amazing stories. Particularly the one about her self-given Toy Story tattoo! She felt like she was just another one of our friends and helped us navigate our first time at the restaurant. The food was delicious and we all left happy. Overall a 10/10 experience!
I don't care to write an actual review. If made to do so, I will stop rating this restaurant.
