The Melting Pot - Atlantic City - Permanently Closed Ratings and Reviews
This place was great. Not my First time going there and surely will not be my last. Worth every penny of the money. The staff was very informative about the entire menu and we did not wait more then 2 minutes between courses. Highly recommended for anniversers. A plus place. Many Cheers for the Melting Pot!!!!
Our dinner experience was wonderful. They made accomendations for my husband who suffers from Celiac disease which is being alergic to gluten which is found in flour and wheat. They went above and beyond to make our dining expericence memorable and delicious.
The ambiance was amazing, this was my first time at the Melting Pot. Our server mike was energetic and made the evening fun. There were 5 of us girls starting the night out for my friend's bachelorette party. I would definitely reccomend! Food is great, a bit pricey, but definitely worth it for a good night out :)
This was one of the best restaurants I've been to. I LOVE going out to eat, the Melting Pot wasn't just a restaurant; it was an experience. The food was fantastic, the service was excellent and friendly, and the wine list was amazing. It's pricey, but it's soooo worth it. It's a great place to go for a special occasion. I'm definitly going back!
We used to go to the Melting Pot in Chestnut Hill before it moved, and tried out the Atlantic City location for the first time. The food was amazing as always and the Atlantic City location is much nicer aesthetically. We loved the private booth. The service was outstanding as well.
My second trip to this Melting Pot and it was ANOTHER GREAT EXPERIENCE. There is free valet packing one block away, a big plus in the area of the city that they are located. The staff are VERY friendy and helpful when trying to work your way around a menu that most of us do not see or use everyday. And the food is OUTSTANDING, if you have never done fondue before, give it a try, you will have a great time and have a great meal at the same time.
I celebrated my 63rd birthday at your restaurant. From the moment walking in to end of the evening, my wife and I were overwhelmed with outstanding service and the quantity and quality of the food. The atmosphere was perfect. We dined in a very quiet, cozy and romantic alcove. We will gladly return to try your other food oferings.
The Melting Pot chain is very consistent in providing a unique dining experience that allows patrons to enjoy each other's company while eating great food. This works for a couple or for a group. We have never had a bad experience at any of the Melting Pots (this was our fourth), and the service is always excellent. It is a special occasion dining event, due to the cost, but never fails to please.
Food and service (waiter) were excellent! 3 birthdays to celebrate and we were given candles on our cheesecake & birthday cards, very cute! However... reservations were intentionally made several weeks prior and confirmed by phone the day before, to ensure we had a private VIP room. When we arrived, we were taken to a regular table, then had to wait 20 minutes for our supposedly reserved private room. The hostess/management is NOT run well. At a previous visit, we waited 15 minutes for a table and we were almost the only ones in the restaurant! They need to get their act together! And the intercom music is too loud. They also had live music & had the radio competing with the live music!
I visited the Melting Pot with high hopes. Too high. I have always heard from friends that, "You have to try it. You will love it!" Well, I am a vegetarian so there was only one choice for me. However, I didn't realize that you have choices on how it is cooked, either oil or broth, edamame or onions. I was just given the 'vegetarian' meal with broth. That wouldn't have been so bad but we sat at our table with our pots brewing for 40 minutes before our food was brought to us! They don't even have to cook it so I'm not sure why it took so long. Our waiter admitted that he was having a rough night. Which is understandable on a Saturday night, however, we were there for over 2 hours total and only ordered entrees. No app or dessert and $100!
Had a very pleasant experience here. All the hostesses and wait staff were extremely friendly and courteous and professional. The food was outstanding and the atmosphere very relaxing. The timing between courses was very good and I never felt rushed or hurried. This was a great place to de-stress after a bustling week at work.
Melting Pot is a fun and quiet place to have dinner. My wife and I celebrated our Wedding Anniversary at the Melting Pot and we will be back next year. They certainly give you enough to eat, so you will never leave there hungry. Bottom line: go for the atmosphere, stay for dinner, DO NOT PASS UP THE DESSERT!
As always, the Melting Pot came through for my dining experience. It's been maybe 6 months since last time I went, but I did notice an updated menu that, although I didn't taste the new selections, looks good for a someone with more refined tastes as opposed to standard fare. The other thing I noticed was that the portion sizes for the cheese and dessert courses seem to have become smaller the past number of times I have been there. The overall meal is of good portion, but I would prefer more of the fruits/veggies/bread with the cheese course and less of all the meat/fish course. I guess it's just my personal taste. I still had a great time and very much enjoyed my evening there with my friends. Thank you!
The wait staff was attentive without appearing to hover, the food was, as always, excellent. They even have a gluten free menu for those suffering from Celiacs. It was a friend's birthday and the entire staff signed a birthday card for my friend and tucked it in with the bill. A full dinner does take at least 2 hours, but you can also stop in and just get a chocolate fondue to top off an evening.
As usual, it was outstanding! This was the second time eating at the Melting Pot in Atlantic City. My husband and I were greeted warmly by the hostess who sat us in a side, private booth, cozy for the two of us (which made it very romantic). Even though they had a special menu, we were able to substitute parts of the special with selections off their regular menu. The cheese fondue and the chocolate fondue is incredible. The service was outstanding. The Melting Pot is a wonderful restaurant and I highly recommend it to everyone!
This was the first time my husband and I had been to The Melting Pot.We really thought we would leave there hungry but we were so wrong. There was the right amount of food served, not wasteful at all. We went for our wedding anniversary. Everyone was great. We had a private little alcove for two, very romantic and cozy. We are eager to try it again with some friends next time. The only complaint was that the menu was hard to read, the lighting was dim which is fine for conversation but either tap the light up a bit or make the words a little larger and/or darker to read easier. Also the music was a little old fashioned.Once in a while Harry Connick Jr or Micheal Buble would play but mostly reminded me of old 30's jazz.
