The Melting Pot - Arrowhead
Book your next event with us
Need to book at 12:30 PM?Other great restaurants with availability.
What a neat concept and our server was amazing. However, it was not worth the $451 bill for 6 people. The lighting was so dim we had to use the flashflights on our phones to see the menu. This place is WAY overpriced for the food you get and we would not go there again.
This is my 4th dinner at the Arrowhead Melting Pot. The food was excellent and the server was good, but not great as our fondue pot ran dry and I had to shut the heat off. I also found the cost of the experience had gone up and will certainly factor in future restaurant choice decisions.
Amazing birthday dinner
Seated quickly in a nice quiet secluded booth. Nathan our server was excellent, anything he didn’t know he quickly found out. Also, they gave us a military discount! it was great.
Everything was perfect! Made for a good birthday for my lady. The timing of all the courses was perfect and our waitress was great!
It was our 16th wedding anniversary. I figured we’d be seated in a more private and quiet place, but we were seated at the corner of EVERYTHING. It was loud, every time a staff member walked by they would say ‘corner’. Granted I understand the safety measures of the mmmmm saying this, but when you specifically state that this is an intimate engagement, you wouldn’t necessarily except to be around crying children, loud parties and constant noise. Overall experience was fine. We enjoyed our meal and a few cocktails. We’d go again I’m sure, but would kindly request a more secluded area next time.
Nice experience but overpriced.
This was a family Christmas event. We all enjoyed it very much. Wish you had a closer location. The Scottsdale location was perfect
While the concept is a unique experience, the food itself is mediocre and not worth the exorbitant price. With a table choosing to use a grill, the room became full of smoke and a door to the outside was opened to let out the smoke, chilling the room. Maybe it was the part of the restaurant where we sat, maybe it was our large party (7), but the experience was over-priced and under-whelming.
The food was absolutely wonderful and prepared either by us or in front of us for such a fun experience. I recommend going with a bunch as you get more cheese and chocolates to try. We had 7 in our group. It was a little long but we expected it and had fun chatting. Thank you Stuart for a great fondue experience even though we were just a bunch of first timers.
The waiter took very long to come back and check up on us for our drinks and in between our mealtime.
Wonderful evening and we will be back! 👍 The food was good, service good we are glad we went.
I usually don’t take the time to write anything unless it’s really good or not really good.
But, just had to make notice of last night here at Melting Pot
First off...it was late(10:00) but says open till 10:30...last reservation was at 10:15. So...as I
It was for my daughters birthday, her special day! The waitress would be gone for long periods of time, drinks were empty and we were ready for refills. She seemed overwhelmed and stressed. They ask if it’s a special occasion and didn’t even sing happy birthday to her or even offer a simple desert... The chocolate fondue we ordered was suppose to be flaming turtle and she forgot pecans and said she’d get them and never did. So we just ate without the pecans but I was embarrassed because that’s what the birthday girl picked.
Slow slow service, unclear descriptions of menu/cost, waiter didn’t seem to thrilled to assist with explaining everything. Felt like not explaining made it easy to charge for items since we didn’t understand. We weren’t sure if we over paid or not by the end. For what we paid I don’t feel the value was there and the service and experience definitely fell short compared to the size of the bill and the amount of food we received.
Food was delicious. We just had challenges cooking our meat during the main course. Everything else was grest!!!!!
It was great!
My husband brought me here for our 1 year anniversary of being married this was our second time here we were so excited becuase the 1st time we went there it was amazing everything was delicious this time we both were a little upset we both got the 4 course i got the classic my husband the steak lovers both our garlic pepper sirlon tasted as if the meat was old at first my husband thought it was just him so he had me try a piece of his i had not cooked mine yet and it did tast funny so i cooked a piece of mine ans tried it and mine tasted funny as well so we brought this to our servers attention my husband didn't want to say anything but i said we are paying for our meal so we should be able to say something he told the server the meat tasted funny as if it was old the server said he would ask the chef if it was old and back and said the chef stated that the meat was cut to serve for every order he didn't really answer how old the steak was the server offered to give us more meat but my husband declined he felt bad saying anything but everything else was delicious I'm just upset that we paid so much money and the sirlon tasted funny 😭
It was our first visit and we really liked it! Kinda confusing but everyone was so helpful!
The food was delicious and plentiful. The chocolate caramel toffee fondue was AMAZING. Staff was very attentive.
The Melting Pot was an anniversary tradition for my husband and I. It has been several years since we have been because the one closest to us closed. We were visiting Phoenix and used the opportunity to celebrate at the Melting Pot this year. The server was good, however, I really feel like the quality of the food has diminished. For the cheese course we are used to apples, bread, broccoli, cauliflower and carrots. There were a just a few pieces of those things and the plate was bulked up with soft pretzels, olives and tomatoes. The pretzels tasted ok with the cheese, but we were not at a ballpark, we were at a restaurant that is all about fine dining. And tomatoes and olives with cheese? That was not the least bit appetizing! Although we were full by the time the chocolate course, again the traditional dippers like a cheesecake slice have been replaced with cheaper options like additional marshmallows and rice krispy treats. I can understand subbing cheaper ingredients to keep the prices low, but the prices have shot way up! Dinner + 2 drinks for him and a wine flight for me + tip was over $200! Definitely was not a $200 meal or a $200 experience. Sorry Melting Pot, we won't be back!
First off our server was excellent. He did an amazing job explaining the menu, options and favorites customers usually pick from. It was very detailed on the ingredients that went into every pot.
However, the portions were very, very small and extremely expensive. Five of us had water, one person 2 beers, cheese appetizer, main course and dessert. The bill was almost 300.00 with tip.
For the cheese appetizer you get a selection of breads, apples and veggies but mostly bread. The cheese had good flavor but the breads were too dry and the dark bread was bitter.
Main course - we had a variety of meats, shrimp and scallops. We picked broth based pots...no frying or grilling. Unless the meat was premarinated it was very plain so you really relied on the sauces to give it flavor. The sauces were very small and had to be shared by all five of us instead of each person having their own. The shrimp were VERY small. Scallops were a great size. We tried the Teriyaki tofu and it was absolutely terrible. It was like chewing a sponge and we normally enjoy tofu. Basically you got 15 small bites of meat (with the exception of scallops because they were large) the 2 boiling pots and 2 small bowls of vegetables.
The desert pots we're probably the best. However, the items used to dip we're very dry and you got one of each item basically. Very light on fruit. Each person got about a half of a strawberry and one slice of banana and a couple of bites of pineapple. I'm no fan of marshmallows and you got two different types of those with two bites of Rice Krispie treats.
Again, server was amazing. Fondue is fun but price is unreasonable and may be why the restaurant was virtually empty on a Saturday night.
We sat way in the back of the restaurant in a room with8 booths... no windows. Didn’t really care for that. Waiter was the best part of our dinner... funny, friendly and knowledgeable. Dinner was interesting and mostly delicious. It’s a full evening with dinner taking about 3.5 hours from start to finish.
Terrible service. We have been to the Scottsdale location many times. We did nothing but wait all night for a very expensive dinner. Just sat for 10 to 15 minutes intervals waiting for drinks and courses. Arrowhead melting pot will not be getting my business again.
Delicious food, helpful wait staff. Wonderful way to spend a few hours with a friend.
If we did not sit in the booth next to the kitchen the noise would have been very quiet. The cheese fondue was excellent but we ran out and still had 50% of the bread and veggies left. Love the experience!!
Good times with friends
Enjoyed our first time there. The waitress could not have been nicer. Explained everything and was very patient
Our waitress was very friendly and knowledgeable on both the food and alcohol. The food and experience was amazing.
I have been wanting to go for at least 10 years. The experience was great. We will definitely go back
The experience was great! I enjoyed each course. I love coming to a place that offers an experience rather than just get your food, eat and leave. We were able to try different things that I would not have imagined tasting so good together. It was very romantic as well.
This is one of my most favorite places! I brought my mother in law here for a little ladies night out and I could just tell she felt so special and loved due to how classy the melting pot is, which was reward enough. On top of that you have great service, wonderful food, and an unforgettable experience?! 10/10 why I return annually, if not more. I’d go more if it wasn’t as pricey, but the benefit of occasionally eating here far outweighs the cost. Can’t get enough!
I’m a huge fan of the melting pot but must say I have a love-hate relationship with it. While I always enjoy the food, I’m usually disappointed with the service. I’m happy to say that on this visit, which was my first to the arrowhead location, I had a perfect experience from start to finish. It was my sons birthday and because the Scottsdale location is closing soon, I didn’t want to take a chance. So we tried the arrowhead location. So glad we did! Our server was attentive, friendly and knowledgeable. She checked on us often, which is a good thing because we always seem to need something! Whether it was refilling our drinks or getting us more dipping sauces, she was on it. Great service is always appreciated, but even more so when it’s a special occasion. My only negative comment is that I wish the melting pot would provide more bread with the cheese course. It’s never enough. It’s a huge pot of cheese and the bread runs out quickly when shared by several people.
Alexa was so sweet. She made great recommendations and was so personable. Having her as a server was like having a third friend with us for dinner. I will ask for her in the future. Melting Pot is one of our favorite celebrating places.
We received an email for a promotional all you can eat shrimp and filet. It was my birthday weekend so we decided to go. We had our meal and then asked for a second round. They had run out of filet but they would “defrost” some for us!! We had to wait about 20 minutes. Every round they would say do you want more and “I will have them work on defrosting another filet.” They never offered more vegetables and we even said if it was easier we would take a different meat. It seemed we were really an inconvenience for them. There was also a table across from us with very loud children who were screaming and the solution was to turn on a movie and play it loud for them. I know that wasn’t the melting pots fault but it just added to the overall unpleasant experience. Maybe when people come with young rambunctious children they should be seated in one of the rooms off the main dining room. The manager never came over to apologize about running out of food and ask if we were ok!!!! This is definitely not the dining experience a restaurant of this caliber should have been!!! Truly disappointed
My husband and I went on a date night. This was our first visit. Wasn't sure what to expect. The lighting was very low it was hard to see and we had to turn on our flashlights from our phones. Our server Nate was very good. It was that say a different experience. I wasn't planning on cooking our own food, but it was okay. The best part of the food the whole night was the desert. The salad could have been a little bit more but it was good. Nate was very good at his service but the time frame between each entree was 10 to 15 minutes. I think the timeline was a little too long. If you go there you should not make plans afterwards. Overall we stayed there 1 1/2 hours. It was a pleasant night since we were by ourselves.
Table very small and it was very warm.
It was my husband birthday and i wanted an intimate setting not knowing it’d be more then expected for our first time, our waitresses were very informational an happy to serve us even after they had closed we didn’t even know we were the last two in. The food was fantastic quiet filling and the dessert fondue didnt last an hr when we got home it was gone lol. Definitely will be coming back
One of my favorite places. Never had a bad experience!
As with many restaurants the music was too loud.
