It was our first time there and heard so many great things about Melting Pot. Our waiter was amazing to us and helped us understand how this ordering thing works. The food was good but some of them needed more flavors in it but we will be coming back to try something else.
Portions were too small. There is no way a pot can serve 3 adults unless they are having a drink, an appetizer, salad and other things plus dessert. It was a huge disappointment for the 9 of us as this was a birthday celebration. I would definitely think twice before going there again. For the money, it was a poor deal.
Not the best dining experience. Server was not very engaged with the table and did not do much explaining of the menu. There was a lot of confusion and dietary restrictions were not addressed or accommodated. Even when I asked to speak with a manager, the manager seemed very uninterested in our pointers and concerns. It was one of my guests birthday, so the overall experience was just poor and honestly disappointing.
Waitress was very slow and messy. Was there for my birthday with my newborn
We loved it
It was my husbands birthday so we visited the melting pot. It was our first time so we did not now what to expect. The server was great at describing how it worked. We ended up getting the four course meal each and two drinks.
First, let me start by saying this place is not cheap! Our total bill was 125.00 for the two of us, however we left satisfied and very full.
You start by picking a cheese for tour fruits and veggies and bread. I was surprised to see that they offered seconds after some of the bread was gone. We had our 14 month old daughter with us and she thoroughly enjoyed all the finger foods so this was kind of perfect for her.
Anyways, after that came the salads which they had a nice selection. Then we each chose our own meats aka the entree. My husband went the steak route while I tried a little of everything. You get to decide how you want to cook your meat and they give you a bowl of veggies as well. We originally asked for the griddle which said “new” on the menu but we ended up getting some type of boil? It was good and gave everything nice flavor and also cooked things super fast. I think despite not being what we ordered it made sense for our first time.
After that came dessert. We went the traditional route and just got milk chocolate. You got pretzels, rice crispies, marshmallows, strawberries, pineapple, waffles etc. it was good but we were so full at this point and the baby was ready to go.
Overall, we liked this place and it felt intimate and special. It is not every day dining and I think they know that As they asked if we were “celebrating anything”. At the end they brought out a plate with the word happy birthday and a small square of the angel food cake with whip cream and a candle. It was nice but I felt it was lacking considering how expensive this place is.
Lighting wasn’t good for pictures but food very yummy! Date was cute. Periodt. 🤤😁
Was disappointed in this melting pot. It wasn't terrible but nothing special and way over priced. We have been to others so we are able to compare that their portions are smaller and the chocolate was thinner than the others. I would have mentioned it to the manager if we ever saw him. The restaurant was dead. We saw our waiter 2xs and the host once. Overall an expensive disappointment.
We enjoyed the Customer Appreciation offering. Great value! The bacon bourbon beer cheese course was the best and we hope it stays on the menu. Great evening.
Service was well-timed and friendly, wines were affordable. The groupon selections were great! We were pleased that we had so much flexibiliity in what we ordered. The brie and bacon cheeese fondue was excellent, as were the salads. All of the meat and seafood selections, esp. the beef selections, were great except for the duck. Great experience!
Great as always!
Had a great time
Food was delicious, but service was the slowest I have ever experienced!
This is my daughter’s favorite place to go so I bought the Groupon that came out but this time the experience just made us want to leave as soon as possible. The cheese fondue was made with way too much garlic in it. We didn’t finish the cheese. Then for the main course, the burner was set at 3 which was way too hot for oil. As a result we all got burn from oil pops and the food charred within a fraction of the time without cooking the center. We kept turning the burning down but the oil was already passed the point of reconciling itself even after taking it off to cool it down. The manager did try to help the waiter with the pot but at that point so much time was lost and we weren’t really in the mood to eat dinner at that point and just wanted to somehow cook the rest of the raw meats to take home and eat later. We didn’t want to try our luck at dessert which of course my daughter was sad about but she too was over it and just wanted to wrap up. It was an unfortunate situation.
We’ve been going here for many years but I think it may take some time before we try again it or just never do the oil again.
Excellent meal...good service...very pleasant evening
Meh. The bar seems to have lost some of the ingredients for the sunshine sangria. And they brought the wrong drink twice. We just took the second one because we had waited so long for it.
No real good vegetarian options. That said, it’s definitely a place you can plan to linger and talk and hang out.
The cheese and chocolate are definitely the best.
Introduced this place to my girlfriend for our anniversary. The layout makes you feel like you have a completely private experience. It beat all her expectations. We'll be back soon for some dessert fondue!
After all these years, still my favorite special occasion restaurant! Outstanding!
The food was great as well as our server! The ambiance could be better since the music was pop & too loud for nice, long dinner. Also, the restaurant was freezing cold!
We celebrated our 6th anniversary at the restaurant, and the entire staff was amazing. Our waitress made incredible recommendations, and we had an amazing time.
Delicious experience, my girl and I absolutely enjoyed each course, the wine was top notch, the ambience was perfect, dimmer lighting and intimate, private booth. Perfect date night! We will definitely be back!
Our waitress Sara was so friendly and nice, she had us laughing and made our dinner very enjoyable. Chris the manager was also very helpful and nice. The environment is just so welcoming, the food is delicious and the service is wonderful.
We attended The Melting Pot for my son 18th birthday. I paid for the ballon package in which I thought the balloons were going to be the ones they had on the website but wasn’t which was disappointing. Our waiter was always in a rush when we tired to order, in which we did state to her this our first time here. She could had been alittle more considered and patient with us. I don’t know if I would return to this location if so I wouldn’t want her to be my waiter I don’t forget faces. And for this to be my son 18th birthday celebration a very special day he wasn’t all that pleased
Always a great place for a quiet evening of good fondue!
Always a fun experience
The Melting Pot experience is always enjoyable if you are in the mood for an interactive and somewhat chaotic evening. The cuts of meat are good and the food is always tasty - if somewhat overpriced. Some of the serving logistics could be improved (it doesn't do much good to have two varieties of cheese, cooking oil or chocolate when only half the table can reach the respective pots). Also, the inside burner is inaccessible to the wait staff. Finally the skewers tend to lose the meat/shrimp/fruit, etc. especially with multiple parties trying to cook/dip. Still, all in all, it is a novel experience for a special occasion.
Lots of families with children on Friday night so would suggest another day of week if you prefer a quieter environment.
Joe was an excellent server, food was good, and we had a lovely evening!
We had a fabulous family dinner celebrating my daughter’s 11th birthday. Supper fun for the kids. Our waiter was great and the food was yummy. They also brought out a special bday dessert!
Super nice as usual!
Not worth a $120 tab. It would have been even more if it wasn't on wine night.
A good value with the Groupon. Otherwise, a little expensive
We normally love this location but this visit was not our best. The food was still excellent, but the server was very forgetful. He was nice, but had to be reminded of things quite frequently, which got a little frustrating.
I loved the food and creativity however i booked a table online I especially mention it would be my wife birthday but looks like noone cares it is special occasion also the and server wasn’t helpful for someone who’s first time there
I was kinda disappointed personally and embarrassed in front my wife because I expected someone at least says happy birthday to my wife but nothing..!!
It has been quite a while since we have been to Melting Pot. The dinner was very nice and the servicer was very personable.
Went to Melting Pot to celebrate a birthday. The site was chosen by the birthday person. It was very festive and we enjoyed the food and service very much.
The restaurant is very dark so we were fortunate to get a seat near the street where the blinds were open.
Excellent meal and fun atmosphere.
The waiter dropped and broke a glass, not that big of deal, gave us the wrong bottle of wine not that big of a deal either then dropped a full tray of dishes and glasses on my head, which broke all over the floor and they did move us to a different table but all the broken glass scared my niece so a crying child and sore head was the last nail in the coffin then a $250 bill to top off the night was ridiculous on behalf of the Melting pot, second visit there in a month and I won’t be back
Birthday pre-theater dinner and dessert excellence!!
