Amazing experience. Food was outstanding. Great place for a date or group if friends.
A great treat for an outing! We knew it was going to be a bit pricey, but it was worth it. Not so impressed with the wine pairings, though.
Had a great 1st experience here. I would highly recommend this restaurant. Just be ready to cook your own food.
Great food and atmosphere 👌. Mother's Day special was spot on.
The special menu for Mother’s Day was wonderful. We loved everything! Melting Pot is always a lovely dining experience.
Very disappointed - the restaurant was very dirty feel, look! Our server, Amanda was very nice but at some point disappeared - we have several people caring for the table but no service continuity. The pot never got that hot and the dark chocolate was not even warm. Very sad - won't hurry back.
Trash . The food was very disgusting it made me sick. It also gave me a stomach bug.
Who needs ambiance when every other category is 100%. My wife and I were celebrating our 11th anniversary and wanted to do something different. I've always heard of the Melting Pot but always opted for elsewhere.
Not this time! We literally had the best fun date in years and in the process almost ate ourselves into oblivion.
Special note: Fabiola our server says she has been working there for 2 months. She seemed like a seasoned veteran. She was always there when we needed and invisible when we did not. Her understanding of English was a little challenging but she was still a "5" out of 5.
We ordered the THE BIG NIGHT OUT for 2 and there was enough for another person. The food was great as were the drinks.
Pretty typical Melting Pot experience. The food is good, with the cheese and chocolate being my favorites. The entrance from the parking garage is unusual and doesn’t look like an entrance; you feel like you’re in a service hallway. The one complaint I have is the smoke - they have the option for a grill cook top, but no vent hoods over tables, so it got really smokey and at one point we were coughing from all the smoke. It was quite unpleasant.
It was amazing food was so good I mean out of its world the flavors and drinks it was just a different vibe for me I love it
This used to be a nice place to go to for special occasions. Now, I feel like it’s turned into a casual dining establishment. I was asked to keep my knife between courses which is an absolute no-no in fine dining. We were also served garlic powder in disposable to go containers. If Covid prevents providing the shaker bottle, at least serve it in a real dish... I’m paying almost $150 for a dinner for two, after all, and I certainly don’t expect to be eating from to go containers.
My reservation was made for 7 pm and we were able to be seated after a short wait. We we got to the table. They already had the bread and veggies out. The waiter didn’t come to the table for about 15 minutes and didn’t take our drink orders for another 10. He turned on the burners to heat up the water in the pots and then disappeared for 20 minutes. While he was away the burners started smoking excessively. My party and I ended up moving the pots off the burners ourselves because the room started to fill with smoke. Soon after that the waiter came back and removed the pots and brought them to another table. He then asked if we wanted to get started on the cheese. We gave him the cheese choices and he disappeared. It wasn’t until an hour and 45 minutes after arriving that the first course of the meal started. While he finished up preparing the cheese the waiter asked if we would like to place an order for main course. We gave him our requests and he disappeared for another 5 minutes and then returned to asked what we ordered again. At this point the bread had become very stale and the veggies we soft. We finished the cheese and the waiter came and removed the pots. He left and came back with the new cooking styles. Another 15 minutes passes and he returns with the main course. He gave us card and the cooking times for each item and asked if we wanted anymore drinks. At this point it was close it was after 10 pm when we finished our meal. The waiter asked if we wanted to try the chocolate. We said no because it was so late. He came back with the check and we paid and left. Overall I was very disappointed in the service. The melting pot is one of my favorite restaurants and I have gone there quite often. I usually go to the one in shady grove in MD. This was the first time I tried the one in Arlington VA. The one in shady grove is a lot better and I do have a favorite waiter there. Unfortunately I don’t see myself returning to the Arlington location anytime soon.
Service coming out of pandemic was a little shaky to start, but improved as the night went on. The food was, as always, amazing. They were very accommodating for a party of mixed vegetarian and non-vegetarian. The manager checked in several times, remembered us from previous visits and special occasions, and brought out a special surprise to add to our celebration - he made the evening nothing short of remarkable! Definitely a favorite place to go for an upscale night out with plans for a long meal and ample conversation in the private booths they have.
A wonderful experience and our server Fabiola was amazing!
Javier was Amazing! A seasoned Melting Pot employee he was and since MP is one of my family's favs, he spoke our language. He made our Easter dinner wonderful.
The food is always good. All the other servers were wearing gloves (and masks). Our server had very very long nails and wasn’t wearing gloves. She’s handling our dishes and food with her fingers. She told us she had been working there for 10 months. We complained to the Mgr who just said “she’s been told many times”. There were other smaller issues with the server as well. But that was the big one
My party of 8 did not receive our food. Our waiter David informed me that they closed the kitchen on him in the midst of hun bot explaining how the process worked. We had never been there. We waited and waited. When I spoke to the manager he informed me that the kitchen was indeed still open. Horrible experience.
I took my 3 children and we had a great time! The waitress was new (it was her first day) but she was excellent. I especially appreciated that she saw I had children and customized the experience for them. We started with the bacon cheddar fondue - which was great. Followed by our favorite teriyaki sirloin streak/chicken and the yin and yang chocolate. Overall excellent experience!
Went here for my daughter's birthday. Seating was great and well spaced out for safety. Our server was awesome! The food was delicious as were the drinks. Can't say enough good things about this restaurant. It's our go-to for occasions.
Amanda was amazing. We like to do a Sunday date night every so often, because we are so busy during the week. She made the experience fun and entertaining. We will definitely be returning to see her. Food was delicious!!
Awful waited hours for food and waitress took tips without confirming with me one of the worse experience I ever get!
Everything was just meh. Probably wouldn’t go back
Server was great. Food was good. Only thing was the booths definitely need an update. Sunk so low in the chair.
The seating situation leaves a lot to be desired. MP has instituted some weird seating policy in hopes of complying with local Covid restrictions. They really should revisit this, it is nonsensical. This restaurant is way too expensive for this. Get it together.
The place was beautiful. My wife and I had a great experience celebrating her birthday. The host was knowledgeable and friendly. The food was scrumptious and delight. My first experience with them was not a disappointment.
Love The Cheese! Thanks for a great meal!
Hannah was fantastic! Everyone was attentive. Best drink I’ve had at the restaurant (berry mojito).
My fiancé brought me here for Valentine’s Day and we had an amazing time... we didn’t like that we had a pre set menu but all in all the food was great and we had a great time..
Every time we come to dine it's always a great experience will be back again soon.
Absolutely amazing from start to finish. The food is always delicious and our server Diego was just fabulous.
It was time for my family annual Valentine’s Day Dinner, and we choose the PERFECT place. Melting pot is such a fun experience. It gives you the chance to be active, cooking and dipping. We laughed over each other cooking skills. Not to mention the service was AMAZING!!! We had two servers named Anthony who made our night. It was our first time here and they explained to us the menu and options in detail. For Valentine’s Day they decorated our table with fresh rose petals and heart shape candles! Anthony even gave us mini crowns, which we loved! BEYOND EXPECTATIONS!!
I don’t have too many complaints. I went for the experience and Id definitely recommend to friends and family. Food was excellent, I was drawn in due to the interaction part of the experience. It kept both I and my gf engaged and communicating. Only thing I really have to complain about we were seated in a intimate setting, lighting was great due to the occasion but we were very cold. We were sitting next to a door leading outside and windows. I would said if they could find some way to keep the intimate section a little warmer I would have given 5 stars. When the waiter initially came to the table he was very quiet. As the night went on he warmed up and was more engaging with us. Besides that overall great experience!
We went a week early for Valentines Day because we love the Melting Pot but it’s hard to get a reservation for VDay. Every time we go, we wonder why we don’t go more often, but it’s a special occasion kind of place.
Great birthday! Service was excellent and the food was wonderful
Our waitress Hannah was top notch. Food was good.
The restaurant week lunch meal was such a deal! we got to have the melting pot experience without the melting pot price :)
Had a wonderful experience. Great service and great food.
Place was clean and romantic. We enjoyed our visit.
Please have servers wipe table off before dessert. Oil gets everywhere from the cooking pot. This has been an issue for years @ MP. Please process the GetUpside purchases. Management keeps advertising a % off but does not follow up. Very deceptive marketing. We have our current purchase AND a purchase from AUGUST still “in process” !!
The Melting Pott is an excellent restaurant. The fondue was so good!
