The Melting Pot - Arlington TX Ratings and Reviews
Had horrible service. Server got our bill wrong three different times, we eventually just paid despite it still being wrong so we could leave. Only saw the server when she brought the food. Didn’t bring drinks or refills when requested. Food was okay, but have had much better fondue other places.
Enjoyed our 4-course meal at the Melting Pot. This was our second visit to this location and both times the food, selection and wait staff have been outstanding. Both times the courses were a little slow coming out, but we don't plan anything with a start time afterwards so we can just enjoy the meal. If it takes a little longer that's okay. With the exception of the entree, the fondue portions seemed smaller than I remembered, but I was by no means hungry when I left. Enjoyable evening all around.
Our food was great. Unfortunately our waitress was sub par at best. She was very casual and almost unprofessional in her words and tone. She forgot drinks and made a mistake with one of our orders and when addressed, her response was “my bad”... yes, your bad.. I just spent $195 on dinner for 3, and was expecting a little higher caliber of a waitress.
My daughter and I visited last night for a "girls night out". She's only 5 so we only wanted cheese and chocolate courses. I explained to the server that we only needed the "1 person portion" because my daughter really wouldn't eat that much. Our server was very sweet and did a great job to help us have a fun evening, but I was very disappointed to see that we were charged DOUBLE because there were "two of us". Even though the food was delicious and the experience was fun, this will definitely NOT be something we do more than maybe once a year. You should also explain that you are going to charge full price for a child. (And if that is the case, I would expect way more food to accommodate for the price. There was definitely not enough food had there been another adult with me.)
All in all, the food was good, but the price was not worth the amount which is very disappointing because we would have liked to have gone back more often.
I've been to another fondue place and was not impressed because the only way to cook the meat was in oil. I liked the melting pot because they had options other than just oil. We just used the vegetable broth to cook our meat and it was not overly salty and it cooked the meat fairly quickly without getting in the way of the flavor of the different meats we got. We had a 615 reservation on a Saturday. We got there at 545 and they were able to seat us. It is a very clean restaurant and the bathrooms are also clean. I don't think the service was slow, our waiter just had to do so much for each table that we didn't leave until a little after 8. I wasn't really happy about being there for so long but considering how much time he spent with us explaining the menu and then getting the cheese and dessert fondue made that I knew he was busy with every table and not just ignoring us. The quality of the food was very good but I don't think it was worth the price. The price was really the only complaint I had but I did my research and knew it was expensive before we went so I didn't get sticker shock or anything like that.
Fun experience for the kids, but not sure it was worth the $200 we spent for 4 people with no drinks or alcohol. It was a four course meal consisting of bread and cheese, a salad, meat, and dessert. Bread and cheese were ok. Salads were small and average. Meat was good. Dessert was melted chocolate with a small plate of sliced bananas, a few marshmallows, a few brownie cubes, and a few strawberries. 18% gratuity is automatically added to the bill which is fine IF you receive good service. We sat for almost 25 minutes waiting on the dessert course and another server had to step in and help out. Take a chicken breast or your choice cut of beef and boil in a pot of broth for just over 2 minutes and that would probably sum up the experience.
Incredible atmosphere and service... food was very good as well ... especially desert!!!! Make sure you plan for at least 2 hours so that you are not rushed ... we had reservations for 9:00 pm and almost missed our movie reservations at 11:00 (theatre was a 2 minute drive) ... we will be visiting again, no doubt!!!
I took my wife and two friends to it. We had a fantastic time. We got a pretty good deal on a groupon, and the staff was amazing. I wish I could remember our server's name, but he had an amazing mustache and had a very professional manner of speaking. We had an amazing time, and I am glad I took my wife there for our anniversary. Great place.
Our experience was ok, not necessarily a bad experience, just not a great experience like the fondue place in downtown Fort Worth. The salad was good, as was the cheese, although the cheese was a very small portion. The meats were ok, nothing to write home about. And lastly, the chocolate was ok, but again lacking portion size. All in all it was a so so experience, definitely will return simply Fondue instead.
This is probably one of the better Melting Pots I've eaten at. At first I was a little taken aback at the waiter's snootiness, but he definitely warmed up quick and fell into a routine. We then realized it was part of his style and that he most definitely wanted us to have a good dining experience. The Ambiance was amazing, not too loud and not too quiet either. The courses were laid out well to enhance the whole Fon-Due dining experience. If you're looking for a nice date that won't destroy your bugdet but still give you some elegance...you can't go wrong here.
We celebrated our anniversary and we had a great time. The only negative thing was the couple next to us, very loud and obnoxious. This is NOT supposed to be a place for loud mouthed people. Our waitress was awesome, we really enjoyed our evening and the food was delicious.
We went for ladies night supporting Breast Cancer research. Along with all the amenities for the event, the staff was knowledgeable and bar staff was fast. Despite being slammed with a lot of tables our waitress was on top of everything. The Manager came by several time to check up on us as well. Overall perfect!
We have been to two Melting Pot locations on 4 different occasions. Our visit to the Melting Pot in Addison, Texas on two occasions was wonderful. The atmosphere is wonderful, romantic and inviting. We have been to the Melting Pot in Arlington, Texas twice as well, but the experience is not quite on the same level as the Addison, TX location. The hostess in Arlington was rude and dismissive which set the tone for the whole experience. The waitstaff was wonderful but not quite as kind as in Addison. The food is great but the Romance package at the Addison location is way above the one in Arlington. This ultimate romance package is pricey; we spent around $200 for each of the 3 times we have done it and we decided we would never go back to the Arlington location but instead will drive an hour to go to the Addison location.
I always love the melting pot! The food and ambience are wonderful… Our server was very friendly and courteous. The only problem was that she was a little slow and kept us waiting in between courses for significant periods of time. It was a Saturday night it was very busy so they may have been short staffed. But overall the food and the experience was wonderful!
