This was our first time at MP. We went on a double date. It was a bit overwhelming at first but our server was great. This is definitely a must do for everyone. We cannot wait to go back and bring the kiddos. It would be nice for a little bigger tables since the burners take up most of the table. Cooking the entree was one of the best and worst parts. The experience was so fun, but the grease splatter was not friendly lol.

We use to go to Melting Pot regularly. I’ve always felt it was overpriced, but it was fun. It also gave us plenty of time to chat. Now it’s rushed, service has been subpar the last few times we’ve been. We were in an out in just a little over an hour. Salads came before we were done with the cheese. I had to put a plate on my lap at one point. I understand that service is lacking everywhere these days but at these prices it really shouldn’t. We may be back, but it’s not the fun, “let’s catch up” over dinner place that it use to be.

The food lacked flavor which was disappointing for how much the meal is. The server was the only good part of the experience. The restaurant has had recent upgrades but was overall dirty, even my silverware had food caked onto it. The bathrooms were disgusting, it made it unappetizing to even go back and eat after using them. The kitchen placement is halfway through the restaurant and the music was blasting so loud you could hear it walking by, it totally ruined the vibe. Overall super disappointing experience. We were here in 2019 and it was a way better experience back then, I’m not sure what happened to make it go so downhill. The host was also wearing a sweatshirt which was odd for a place where you pay roughly $50/person for a meal. She also convinced us to donate to St Jude’s by saying we could get a gift card for $20 off our meal to use today (this was in December). Turns out you can’t use it until 2023. It was rude to be bombarded by asking for a donation before we even got our seats, and then to misrepresent it by saying you get a gift card same day is annoying. Had we had been sold on it with the truth, we probably still would’ve donated but it was annoying to be lied to just for her to meet her goal. I thought maybe I misheard, but my husband confirmed she said the same thing and our waiter said she had been making that mistake all night. I was excited to come to a nice dinner here for my birthday and left super disappointed and wishing we would’ve gone almost anywhere else in Appleton. Like I said, our server was the only positive part of the experience. Would overall not recommend.

Most of the food was amazing, our friend ordered the veggie option and found mold on her peppers. She discreetly told the server so we didn't make a ruckus in the dining area, he thanked us for being polite about it. She didn't eat any of hers after she found the mold. And got charged for the entire meal. The experience was amazing being our first time, but a little more attention to the fresh veggies should be a priority

Meh overall. Overall cleanliness and ambiance at the Appleton location has declined over the years. The kids menu should be expanded. I don’t think mushroom filled ravioli (which was stated as “pasta” on the menu) is a food most kids enjoy- mine certainly didn’t. I also think there should be cheese options that aren’t wine or beer-based. I do, however, think their cocktail and mocktail selections are among the best!

Our server, Zoe, was amazing! She was so helpful with the menu and very personable. The fondue was awesome! My daughter and I did the cheese fondue and the chocolate fondue. The chocolate martini was delicious!

You get plenty of food but our server was just ok. She had a larger party and had to tend to them. She didn't fill our drinks at all and between courses the table had sauces spilled on it and we asked her if she happened to have a towel and she said "No" but she would bring us napkins. 10 minutes later she brought napkins and we wiped up our own table and we were kind of like wow, for a $200 dinner for 3 people, you think she could have wiped the table and asked us if we needed more drinks. Anyhow you get tons of food and it's tasty.

Great time once seated, took well past our reservation time, but understandable with help shortages everywhere. First time dining here for some in our party. Thoroughly enjoyed the fun of it all - helped make celebrating a wedding to come fun. Food and service was very good.
