Service was pleasant, but painfully slow. The prices seemed ridiculously high; however, the food was fantastic.
It was a great experience like usual. The server seemed to rush us just a little and comparing the amount of food for the kids meal versus the adult; I realized adults pay a lot more for not that much more food! Regardless, we love this place and never have less than a 4/5 experience so will absolutely be returning.
Our family went out to celebrate getting a new puppy this coming week! Our 9 year old and 12 year old loved the food and the experience just as much as my husband and I did. Our server was wonderful at recommendations and the timing throughout the evening was perfect. Thank you!
Enjoyed Melting Pot, server was knowledgeable and patient. Would go again
I have been telling all my friends and family that they need to go here! They give you the opportunity to donate to St. Jude Hospital and win a little something if you donate. The hostess brought my fiancé and me to our booth and handed us a handwritten card wishing us a happy anniversary with a coupon inside. The manager came up to us and personally wished us a happy anniversary and checked how everything was going. Our server was OUTSTANDING in every way. The Melting Pot staff truly made us feel like their only customer, which is really special. I loved the ambiance and it was the perfect place to celebrate a great day!
Jade rocked! Wow I wish more people were like her
Had a nice experience. A fun way to celebrate an occasion. Our waitress was very attentive but not overly so. Other groups were near us but not too loud. Really enjoyed the evening.
We always have an exceptional experience at The Melting Pot. The service and food are both amazing consistently.
I brought my Aunt and Uncle for their first 4 course fondue experience. We all had a wonderful time. The service we received was excellent, our waitress explained all the courses and how she was preparing that went along with all the options for each each course. It was a perfect evening!
I brought my 8 yr old son for cheese and chocolate. We had a wonderful time. Jade was a great server and suggested a yummy cheese. The bread assortment could have been higher quality but still tasty when dipped. The chocolate and chocolate dippers were scrumptious.
Our visit was amazing. Our server Tara was fun and made sure our night was as amazing. We will definitely be back
The waitress would be gone for 30 minutes before coming back to our table. Twice with forget to refill our waters she said she would be right back for. After 90 minutes we had to leave for a painting class so we had to come back after to finish our dessert course. We had “all you can eat” entrees but didn’t have time to enjoy that since it took 30 minutes to refill the meats.
I have been a loyal Thursday night ladies night customer for many, many years. So when I learned at this visit to the restaurant that the long-standing ladies night deals and crave combo were no longer offered at a discount, we left immediately without ordering. I will not return. I can't afford to eat at The Melting Pot without those discounts, even for a special occasion. I guess it explains why the parking lot and restaurant were totally empty at 5:30 on Thursday night, something I have never seen there before. I can't imagine this is a sound business decision for the restaurant, and I sincerely hope they revisit this change in the future. The server was perfectly understanding and seemed very apologetic for this change to the menu.
Amazing food and experience. However, we booked a reservation stating we were celebrating our anniversary and shortly after our appetizer a family with loud children were placed across from us. They were loud enough to where I couldnt hear/have conversation with my husband across the table. Ultimately, we stopped talking to eachother. We know its not 100% avoidable, however, it did put a damper on our dinner as we made sure to have a sitter so we could enjoy our very rare date night let alone a celebratory one. Perhaps the waitstaff could be a little more mindful on where they seated families when couples reserve tables for intimate events such as anniveraries. The food and everything else was phenomenal, no compaints whatsoever and our waitress was wonderful. I wouldve been more inclined to stay and have ordered extra drinks/desserts had it not been for the other table. Thank you so much.
While the service was great and we had a nice server, there was issues with our burner. It either burned really hot or cold. It probably took over 15-20 minutes for our chocolate to heat up so we could eat it. We let our server know and she tried to get it to work as best as possible but even said that she had told management about issues with that burner multiple times. Maybe then that booth/burner should be taken out of use until they know it was working properly. Nothing more frustrating than having some amazing food sitting in front of you and not being able to enjoy it properly.
My husband and I try to come here at least once a year. This last visit was our worst experience. We had a server who was very new and it was very evident. She didn’t use very much wine for our cheese fondue, so there wasn’t much for dipping, which we couldn’t do because she forgot our dippers and we had to wait until she remember. She also forgot our dippers for our chocolate fondue. There was a misunderstanding about our entree portion which the manger corrected. The manager did a wonderful job seeing that our dinner went well. They need to train the servers longer before letting them off on their own.
Thank you for taking the time to let us know about your last experience, we will look into our training procedure and make sure that we are better preparing our staff to deliver the experience you deserve. Sincerely, Dave Ahern General Manager
Brought friend who never had the fondue experience. Our waitress was extremely attentive and very accommodating. Answered all of our questions and special requests. Took the extra steps to make this retirement celebration a positive experience for my friend. Thank you.
Hi Lynn, Thank you for joining us for your celebration and congrats on your friends retirement! We are looking into other options to create a better Ladies Night special. Sincerely, Dave Ahern General Manager
I’ve had incredible experiences in the past at the Melting Pot In Appleton, but this last time wasn’t as great. Our waitress took a long time in between courses when we were obviously finished and waiting for the next part. She also never refilled our drinks
Service was great, food was delicious! We did the 4 course meal and were there for 3 hours, but we were never rushed. The meal changes were prompt and everything was delicious- especially the Candy Bar chocolate fondue dessert!
For the first time in a very long time, the service was very, very slow. We had endless entrees and it took a very long time to get them or any new sauces. At one point we had to go find a person to go and track down our waitress because we had been waiting on a refill of entrees and sauces for 30-40 minutes (no exaggeration). Normally service is much better
My husband and I have been coming here at least once or twice a year for the last 8 years for special occasions or date nights. This time was the worst, the dining room was obnoxiously noisey due to crying kids. Everything we ordered came out late or not at all.
The food was good, as usual, but the waitress was a bit forgetful and brought my husband the wrong beer. There was also a loud, crying baby for our entire meal.
The first seat us, considering an almost empty restaurant, in a kind of a backspace with three tables, no windows, very dimmed lights, and an 80's disco light. I couldn't bear it more than a few minutes though my wife found it romantic and we asked to be seated somewhere else. They moved us on a hallway with an AC above us that made a low-frequency baffling sound.
That's it; we're out of here!
Great food. Great staff. Short staffed or eating would be higher!
Excellent treat for my birthday! From the cheese to the chocolate the quality of the food was top notch. Will be back!
The waitress we had her name was Courtney, she was very pushy and rushed us through our dinner. Was not very pleasant, didn’t make any small talk, made the experience awkward. She would not let us finish a course without already bringing the next one. What happened to the busch light or Budweiser? That was a disappointment that there wasn’t any. This was not our first time at the melting pot and every time until now we’ve had amazing service. Hopefully it was just an off night.
Wonderful for date night and Cassie was outstanding and very helpful since it was out first time! The only that was distracting was the gentleman 3 tables over that was exclaiming how delicious the food was so the entire restaurant could hear him. Would highly recommend!
The waitress was a ditz and didnt leave the wine cooler to keep our bottle of champagne cool. She also left a spoon in the hot pot like an idiot. Wasnt the best experience. She also charged us wrong on the bill. Clueless girl. She wasnt sure what she was doing. We've had better on other occasions though.
We were there 3 hours. Only two of us. Had to wait 45 minutes for our cheese fondue. And continued to wait for everything else.
I do enjoy eating hear. It is all about the experience but the Amish t of time it took to get refills on food was exceptionally long. A 2 hour experience could easily be cut down to an hour or hour and a half max without losing the experience.
Next time i’d like to have more time to eat without be pressured by waitress. The service was good, could has been perfect.
We had a larger group and the server made it simple. We appreciate that!!
The beginning of our stay started with a delay in service but the manager was quick to apologize and let my party and I feel as if our business with them was valuable. Overall, we had an amazing experience and I would most certainly recommend The Melting Pot to anyone. Just set aside a few hours if you plan to eat a few courses. While the food is delicious, it's more about the experience!
If any of my friends say they have not been here, this is where I bring them -- sooooo good!
Experience was fun. Took a long time between courses. Cheese and main course were just ok. Chocolate fondue was amazing.
I love this place! Perfect restaurant for you and your significant other.
Typical birthday dinner at the melting pot. The card they gave my daughter was very thoughtful. Our server was amazing. I wish it wasn’t so expensive to eat here though; we only come on special occasions because of the cost.
Amazing but expensive. My wife loves the place so it’s a good place to get me out of the doghouse.
