The Melting Pot - Annapolis Ratings and Reviews
We had a great experience at the Melting Pot this past weekend. Our server, Jack, was very attentive and came back often to check on us. Usually the Melting Pot takes a couple of hours to complete the entire 4-course meal, especially as the server comes back rather infrequently. Yet, our server this time came back at perfect timing and was always refilling our drinks. He was attentive and would come back as we were finishing one course and was ready to get our next course started. We really appreciated the attentiveness!
We knew about the fondue way of eating but the presentation gave us so much more to add to what could be done. The wait staff was helpful in explaining how it worked and we always like 'fun' things to do. Fondue is 'fun'. The food we ordered was really good, and of course it was prepared as we liked it.
We always enjoy dinner at The Melting Pot, so it was an obvious choice for our New Year's Eve celebrations. The prix fixe menu was well-selected with enough options to keep everyone at the table happy, and the servers went out of their way to make sure we enjoyed a festive evening. The food was delicious, and we had lots of fun ringing in 2018 with several different fondues. This place is expensive enough to make it "special occasion" for us, but would definitely recommend it for a memorable celebration.
The food was absolutely wonderful. My husband and I had never eaten fondue and thought it would be a fun time during a short vacation in Annapolis. The food was delicious, the atmosphere was nice and it was an overall great time. It definitely makes for a long meal so not a great option for a quick bite, but for a date night it was perfect!
Worst waiter ever. Rushed us to order to the point of anxiety. Did not lister when we said we needed some more time. Kept coming back every few minutes.
Waiter relaxed after the meal order was placed to the point that when we ordered beverages refilled that look an exceedingly long amount of time.
Would not recommend with this type of service.
We went with three children, ages 7, 5, and 2. The dinner ended up taking 2 1/2 hours which was a lot for the kids and we were nervous about one of them getting burned the whole time. The food was good and it was a fun experience but it’s better for a date or families with older children as opposed to a family with small children.
Most things were good. Several of my teriyaki steak pieces were tough, but the filet was good. We were given a bowl of tortilla chips with the cheese fondue but the chips were mostly broken, not easy to dip in cheese. We drove over an hour to celebrate my daughter's birthday at the melting pot, but the waitress thought it was another of our guests bday and only put a marshmallow on the bday plate instead of a cupcake. I didn't know a cupcake usually comes on the plate but the other guest who the waitress thought was the bday girl said they probably didn't put ther cupcake cause that guest was gluten free. I don't know how the waitress messed up whose bday it was because we stated it was her 18th bday and the first she brought the bday plate to had ordered a mixed drunk and showed her ID, clearly not 18. Hopefully our family will want to try the melting pot again.
