The Melting Pot - Annapolis Ratings and Reviews
We went with three children, ages 7, 5, and 2. The dinner ended up taking 2 1/2 hours which was a lot for the kids and we were nervous about one of them getting burned the whole time. The food was good and it was a fun experience but it’s better for a date or families with older children as opposed to a family with small children.
Most things were good. Several of my teriyaki steak pieces were tough, but the filet was good. We were given a bowl of tortilla chips with the cheese fondue but the chips were mostly broken, not easy to dip in cheese. We drove over an hour to celebrate my daughter's birthday at the melting pot, but the waitress thought it was another of our guests bday and only put a marshmallow on the bday plate instead of a cupcake. I didn't know a cupcake usually comes on the plate but the other guest who the waitress thought was the bday girl said they probably didn't put ther cupcake cause that guest was gluten free. I don't know how the waitress messed up whose bday it was because we stated it was her 18th bday and the first she brought the bday plate to had ordered a mixed drunk and showed her ID, clearly not 18. Hopefully our family will want to try the melting pot again.
This was an amazing experience for my sister's birthday! The service was amazing from everyone (2 different people stopped by to check on us in addition to our server), they were patient with us as we struggled to understand what we were doing (first time fondue-ers), everything tasted amazing, and the staff even wrote my sister a birthday card. What a nice touch! My sister and I will definitely return. It was worth the drive out to Annapolis.
Always had a great time going to The Melting Pot. Always a great experience however this last experience the waitress was not very friendly and we waited to be waited on for some time. Have been multiple times and out of all the times we've been this is been the only time I can say that it wasn't five-star.
This was not our first visit to the Melting Pot and it didn't disappoint! It was our 25th Anniversary and we wanted to celebrate. We enjoyed a 4-course dinner because what is fondue without the cheese course and the chocolate course? Our servers were attentive but not intrusive. Food was fresh and great tasting. It is expensive, but worth it for a special occasion!
I love the Melting Pot. Littleton, CO is the best location anywhere I've been..very cool place with great ambiance. Columbia, MD is awful, its like any other restaurant. Annapolis was good. The location isn't the best but we had good service, no wait with our reservation, food was delicious and the ambiance was much better than Columbia. Wish that the Annapolis location was on the water, that would be terrific.
We had our anniversary dinner here and it was great, as usual. It was quite quiet for a Sunday evening, so the atmosphere was very relaxing. Food and service were both great.
I hadn't been to the Melting Pot in a while, but its prices don't seem to have gone up much compared to most other restaurants. Whereas before I'd see it as a rare treat, now it qualifies for more frequent visits.
I need to avoid gluten in my diet, and I can confirm that there are lots of gluten free options on the menu. The menu itself marks all of the cheese, salad, entree, and dessert choices as GF or not, and you can substitute out ingredients for items that aren't GF to make them so. The gluten free bread for the cheese fondue is actually pretty good, and they have gluten free brownie cake and pound cake for the chocolate course. They'll also swap in Redbridge for any beer in the cheese fondue. So, you don't have to compromise to avoid gluten here, which is pretty darn awesome.
Much better night here. The food was excellent and the service was as well. The spinach artichoke fondue dip was amazing, especially with the pretzel bread. The Mojo cooking style is delicious. The veggies take on the flavor very well. We got the 4 course meal this time so we were able to indulge in chocolate fondue. The cookies and cream marshmallow dream was a very good choice. I definitely hope we get service this great next time.
Went for our anniversary, one of our favorite places to eat. Sean was our server and he was great. Very helpful with suggestions yet left us alone to enjoy our meal and each other's company. We had a nice booth for two in a corner and got some quality time with a good meal. We really enjoyed the flaming turtle dessert!
This was our first time at this location; we usually go to the one in Towson just because we used to live in that area. Kind of an odd location attached to a shoe store, but once you make it inside the ambiance and sophistication level goes up a notch or two. We really enjoyed our date night out and we look forward to coming back again in the future!
The melting pot is my favorite restaurant. I'm used to the ones in Reston and Arlington Virginia. I thought those two stood out as much more impressive than the one in Annapolis. I very much want to compliment in a great way the service, they were all friendly and welcoming. It seemed disappointing the small attention to details, for example a few pieces of cracked bowls and plates. I went to the melting pot in Annapolis because it was closest one for the area I was in. When I have an event in Maryland again I will certainly try it out again.
