Great family fun
Will definitely be back
Very nice location , you wouldn't know that you are in a mall. Nice for special occasions or a date night. Different and nice. The server was very attentive without being bothersome.
Fun weekend night out with the family. The prices are a little high but the experience is fun. We were seated right near the front door, so it was cold and we were right on top of the bathrooms.
Not sure if the pots you cooked in go from table to table but ordered mojo.....I haven't eaten pork in years and had an gotten instantly sick, thinking cross contaminant, wondering if that was the cause because everything up to the main course was exceptional.
Waited 5-10 minutes in lobby before our party was greeted.
We have eaten at several Melting Pot Restaurants over the last fifteen years. On a trip to Nashville in 2003 we asked the Manager of our hotel where we could get a late dinner, since our flight was late in getting us into town . He recommended The Melting Pot, which was within walking distance, and we were very pleased by everything from the food, the staff, and the ambiance. Since then we have eaten at that restaurant's facilities in several Florida cities, and throughout New York State (we live in the Albany Area.) I have recommended it to several friends and business associates, and my wife has as well.
food was good but Way to expensive for the portions they give you!
Very nice, intimate setting. Perfect place to bring a date for Valentine's Day.
Had a double date for valentines day. Had a wonderful romantic evening. We did this prior to seeing 50 Shades
Very good food and lots of fun. The dessert option was amazing. Most fun I've had eating in a long time. My son also enjoyed his meal and he's a fussy eater. But getting to dip his own made it fun. Loved the banana foster
This was a birthday date and our first time there. Although we had reservations, and was early, decided to stay at the bar. The bartender, Lilly, was fabulous!!! Funny, energetic, and very knowledgeable of the IPAs & wines. We had a good time with good food. We were skeptical of what to expect, but will be definitely going back.
It was a fun experience!
The food was excellent and very fun to do my friend and I had a wonderful time it was an experience. They only thing we both didn't like was the music it was awful and irritating it's the only thing that made us want to leave, but everything else was great. Also our waitress was very friendly and took the time to explain our experience to us and what to do because it was our first time 😉 I think I will return but only if the music changes lol I don't think I can stand another 3 hours of that nonsense 😆
Waitress was great. Went on a Tuesday evening. It was nice and quiet. Everything was great.
The service was great. The rest of the experience was adequate at best and certainly not in line w/the cost of the evening. It could just be this particular location as all of our prior visits to Melting Pots in Orlando & White Plains, NY have been outstanding.
First time dining at a Melting Pot. Service from Morgan was excellent and the pace of courses was perfect. Really nice to be able to have a leisurely meal in a quiet location that facilitated lots of conversation.
The only issue we had is that it was very cold inside for a 6 pm reservation. Maybe next time we will ask for a table deeper in the building ....... they were not really able to warm the place up ..... that’s all...... otherwise we had a great time
Went to the Melting Pot in Albany for an anniversary dinner. Waiter provided good service and was very polite. For the amount of food you get for the 4 course experience, it’s over priced. The only thing that costed the restaurant any money to provide was the steak and lobster. Not worth $50. The meat portions were small. The main reason we came here was because we had a gift certificate. We were told we couldn’t use the certificate because it was a “holiday” (New Years day). It’s a gift certificate already paid for, there should be no restrictions. We called the manager over and he was not helpful and somewhat rude. He could have let us use our $25 gift certificate no problem but he didn’t. Our bill was $100 (no drinks). He’s a manager, his job is to over ride the system when necessary to make customers happy. Overall, kind of disappointed. Other than to use our gift certificate, we will not be back.
Great atmosphere. Great food. Great place to celebrate.
First of all - reservations are highly recommended! It's a busy restaurant located inside the crossgates mall. The main (and recommended) feature is the 4 course meal. Cheese fondue course, salad, meat/fish/vegetable fondue course and the incredibly good chocolate fondue course for dessert. All those courses take at least 2 hours to complete - so plan accordingly. The ingredients are fresh, the food is excellent - just takes time to enjoy all that fondue!
Food is fantastic, especially the chocolate fondue at the end of the meal. The waitstaff is always friendly and helpful. No long waits if you arrive early.
The food was great, and while the prices are usually a bit high for a minimum wage budget, a coupon helped me follow through with plans, our server was quick to deliver our next course after we finished the previous one, and helped us with cook times for meats we were unfamiliar with.
Thanks for the great experience!
So relaxing! We walked in there feeling like the world was on our shoulders and how could we possibly relax enough to celebrate a birthday. And by the time we left, 2.5-hours later, we were so relaxed we felt like nothing could get us down. We felt closer together than ever. Truly a marvelous experience. Ask for lovers lane, take only your significant other, tell the babysitter you won't be back for a long time, and order some of their signature cocktails!
Overall, the experience was good. Our waiter did mis-identify my partner and I as father and son which was very unprofessional, but he apologized profusely. I would recommend to my friends and family.
We are seasoned melting pot nuts. Would eat here weekly if we could. Nice variety of meats. You can specialize your menu to your liking. It is at least a 2 hour time frame depending on the amount of people in your party. We happen to enjoy the process. It gives us time to chat. Some don't like having to cook your own food. My only complaint was that we went for the brunch which was still on the website only to be told it's no longer available.
The restaurant is very nicely decorated and the tables are placed well apart. Our party of four bought two of the 4-course dinners to share, and it was more than enough for all of us. We thought that the cheese fondue appetizers and the chocolate fondue desserts were the best. The salads also were excellent. Regarding the entrees, we felt that the hot oil overpowered the flavor of the meat, poultry or fish so that we couldn't really taste the flavor of each. Just our opinion. The choices were very fresh, nothing wrong with them at all. There are many sauces to choose from, and it was difficult to remember what each one was. It would be better if the names were on the dishes. If we wanted more of the fruit or side dishes, more was provided quickly at no charge.
We didn’t like the main meal. The cheese fondue and chocolate fondue were very good. We mentioned it was my birthday and not even a Happy Birthday was acknowledged
Always wanted to eat here so finally had the opportunity..had a fabulous fun time... Katie our waitress was attentive, competent and friendly and made our dining experience delightful... while it takes time to cook, dip and savor all the morcels on our plates we left plenty full and satisfied... plan on a 2-3 hour leisurely unique dining experience..Although a bit higher priced than other area chain restaurants, the unique dining experience is not something that can be rushed and well worth It!
Went there with another couple. We had a great time. Place was cozy with all private booths. Great wine , beer and cocktail list. Stephen our server was very friendly , knowledgeable , and eager to share his favorites and the best way to enjoy this type of dining. We all ordered the 4 course option and sat there eating and talking while each course came , each one totally different but as good or better than the last. Before we knew it several hours had gone by without us realizing it and we were on to the dessert course. The one thing I would recommend besides going there is to leave enough time to enjoy it, this is definitely not fast food. We are already talking about our next trip to the Melting Pot and who else to invite.
The food was delicious. The service was great. I would highly recommend the melting spot as a place to go. Whether you’re doing a special occasion or getting together for a fun night out it’s definitely worth your while.
We had a great time celebrating my boys birthdays! The staff went above and beyond to help us! We will be back!
Great experience! Something different and fun for a date. Highly recommended!
Not really our thing! I really wanted to love it but it was a two and a half hour experience. Way too long for dinner! The fondue pots had oil sizzling for over an hour at our table. By the time dinner was over, I was nauseated beyond belief. I just wasn't impressed-- it looked like you took bagged vegetables and placed them in small square white dishes and used supermarket pound cake for the desserts. More fresh fruit would have been better. Really expensive and so not worth the price. A huge rip off!!
It was fun and and the food was great Great. I will definitely go back. I wish there were more vegetarian options though.
My teenage son was recently diagnosed with Celiac's disease, so we are struggling to adjust and on the lookout for local GF dining options. We have been to the Melting Pot numerous times in the past, so I did a little research (including a call to the restaurant) to see if their gluten free menu could work for us. They do have a separate prep area, and give you the option to have separate fondue pots if your party includes both GF and non-GF diners. They use Udi's bread for the dippers, and adjust the dippers to eliminate any with gluten. You won't get the coated marshmallows for example, but there are still plenty of the usual favorites. We were happy to see that the Artisanal Dippers are still "on the table" for us. We had a great meal as always, and my son suffered no ill effects at all. We will be back!
It was amazing food service all of it. We always like to go there when we can have a night out alone.
Our Waiter was very kind and on top of things! The food was fantastic!
Fun meal with friends. Great for getting together and catching up. You can have a great elaxed normal voice conversation.
I've been to the Melting Pot a few times. It was disappointing this time around. I ordered a martini and the glass was about half full. Food was very good but the service was very slow.
