The Mediterranean Ratings and Reviews
My friend and I had lunch here and it was fantastic!!! My friend had the Med Sampler Salad and she absolutely loved it!!! I had the pizza and it was also fantastic. The servers were very helpful and knowledgeable. I recommend eating outside, weather permitting of course, wonderful place outside.
I had not been to The Med in a number of years, as I had been working outside of Boulder. It was a nice treat to visit again and enjoy a delicious meal with my colleagues. The menu offers a great variety and our server was lovely! I look forward to returning soon!
This is my second visit to the 'Med', and the food was just as tasty as the first time I went. GREAT tapas, with a rich variety to choose from. We had a corner table so the din of others' conversations wasn't as overpowering. The service was OK - our waiter was all business and it would have been lovely to enjoy an easier, more spontaneous side of him. No harm in that! All-in-all, I really enjoy this restaurant, and will return the next time I'm in Boulder!
Excellent experience. The staff and chef were very accommodating. Although it was a special occasion lunch we asked the chef to prepare eggplant parmesan from the dinner menu and he easily accommodated us. We had prosecco to toast the occasion. We had two delightful wait staff persons helping us. The food and bread were both delicious. We often go to the Med when in town and have never had a bad experience. There are many delightful tapas too!
The food was very good, but our waitress had too many tables to manage and therefore, service was very slow. We were a party of nine and it took a long time to get our check and be able to leave. Food did not all come out together either. I felt sorry for our waitress, but feel this needs to be addressed by the management.
This is our “go to” restaurant for a friends get together meal. The hot and cold tapas during happy hour (before 6:30) are great, with a varied menu of foods from the Mediterranean region. The prices are mostly in the 4-5 dollar range and 3-4 tapas per person are adequate. The food is delivered as it is prepared so that you aren’t overwhelmed with a table of food at once. There’s a nice balance of meat and vegetarian dishes as well as a basket of their freshly baked bread for the table.
There were many things I would have loved on the menu. Our server knew the menu well and was able to answer all of my questions and helped me find the ultimate grill combo - sauce and sides. It was a delicious meal. I hope return next time I am in Boulder. The vibe was great. Clearly, it is a popular restaurant, but it felt like we had enough distance from others to have a conversation. We had a GREAT experience.
I've had both good and bad experiences at the Med. This one was kind of middle of the road - I had the chopped salad and a bunch of tapas. The chopped salad would have benefited from less onion and I will remember next time to ask them to forgo the onion. Service was very swift and nicely handled, so no complaints there at all. The food seemed a little lackluster. I have to add that I'm on the hunt for the perfect meal in Boulder, and so far I'm not finding it. I've had dinners in Santa Fe that just make me stop and wonder at the level of artistry in creating amazing food. So far in Boulder, no joy. I would still recommend the Med, and have had wonderful experiences there in the past.
We ordered from the tapas menu, and the variety of cold and hot tapas was amazing! Everything was delicious; we especially liked the ratatouille, the lamb skewer and the tabbouleh. We have dined at many restaurants in Boulder, and the Med remains my favorite!
We had an outstanding birthday dinner at The Med on a busy Saturday night. Our waiter, Sean, was friendly, efficient and attentive. The food was great, and all came out at the same time for 11 people. The Med's menu has something for everyone. The happy hour tapas are the best deal in town, and the menu is creative, with lots of fresh fish, chicken, meat and vegetarian options at reasonable prices. It's my favorite restaurant in Boulder!
As usual, the Med lived up to expectations. The entire staff is incredibly professional and helpful, making every effort to accommodate special requests. The food is consistently good, and the large offerings on the Happy Hour small plate menu make it difficult to make choices. Your really can’t make a bad one.
Consistently, this is one of the best eateries in Denver-Boulder.
