The Mediterranean Ratings and Reviews
Went to The Med for a date night with my husband, looking forward to going to a nice place that offered a variety of dishes, including some vegan options. We arrived a little early for our 7:15p reservations, and they seated us immediately. Our waiter was excellent, he knew the menu and was able to verify which items were plant-based, dairy-free. I ordered the Vegetable Kebabs with charmoula sauce and sugar snap peas sauteed in oil instead of butter. A tasty light dinner. I
was wishing they had a heartier vegan option, like a chickpea tagine or something. Fortunately there was plenty of bread, so I didn't leave hungry. My husband ordered the Filet Gorgonzola and was pleased with his meal. The atmosphere is classy, but still relaxing. We look forward to eating there again soon.
One of the managers, Jason, called me shortly after we had left the restaurant. My friend had left her iPhone on the table. Jason knew to call me and my cell no., because I had made the rez on OpenTable. I just wanted to say thank you to Jason and the staff at The Med. We had a great dinner, awesome service, and a fun time. The icing on the cake, Jason taking the time to call me and leave me a VM. By the time my friend had walked back to the restaurant, her phone was ready to be picked up. #WeLuvTheMed
The Med is always a solid choice. The food is superb and there are many options to choose from. One of my favorite ways to dine here is tapas at happy hour but that's not to imply that ordering an entree or pizza isn't also a good choice, we're just partial to tapas because they're so fun.
They were able to accommodate our seating request in a less noisy area. We for in and out for tapas and happy hour ok our way to an event in Boulder. Service was great, brought all our appetizers out at various times to keep us fed. Love the sangria and cocktails but not much beer selection.
Had a great time. I worked with explosives in the military so I do not hear well to begin with. The ambient noise made it difficult for me to hear. Not the Meds fault food is great, the service is 5 star top notch. The dirty martini was beyond excellent. This is our go to for our group. We have vegans, vegetarians and a gluten allergy person as well as us carnevoirs. Everyone was happy and no one left hungry.
As usual, all went very well - food was great, service outstanding ... but amazingly (and for the first time in our lives) the 3 orders of coffee (2 decaf and 1 regular) were delivered COLD. When we mentioned it to the waiter, he apologized and eventually brought 3 hot coffees but apparently mixed up the decafs with the regulars leading to a sleepless night for one of us. It's unimaginable that both the decaf AND the regular pots of coffee were both cold and that this wasn't noticed by anyone late in the evening. But besides this, the food and service were great as expected.
It was a double birthday for 2 people, which the waiter was aware of and he didn't bring out a birthday dessert...I've been to this restaurant since 1998 and they've always been kind enough in the past to bring out a birthday dessert for the birthday guest. It was disappointing.
The hummus and Moroccan Lamb were delicious, but the paella and cocktails weren't as exciting. It was also weird that the olive oil for the table was very bitter and the bread (while tasty) was served cold. Staff and overall ambiance was great. Would try again as it seems that perhaps they had an off-night.
We were promptly seated at a good table. We let our waiter know that we had concert tickets for 7 pm. He was very helpful when we asked for suggestions. We had a lovely bottle of Malbec with our meal.
Our food came out very quickly as Jamal had informed the kitchen we had a time limit. So appreciated that! Everything was so delicious and presentation was beautiful! Love The Med!
My friend and I had lunch here and it was fantastic!!! My friend had the Med Sampler Salad and she absolutely loved it!!! I had the pizza and it was also fantastic. The servers were very helpful and knowledgeable. I recommend eating outside, weather permitting of course, wonderful place outside.
I had not been to The Med in a number of years, as I had been working outside of Boulder. It was a nice treat to visit again and enjoy a delicious meal with my colleagues. The menu offers a great variety and our server was lovely! I look forward to returning soon!
This is my second visit to the 'Med', and the food was just as tasty as the first time I went. GREAT tapas, with a rich variety to choose from. We had a corner table so the din of others' conversations wasn't as overpowering. The service was OK - our waiter was all business and it would have been lovely to enjoy an easier, more spontaneous side of him. No harm in that! All-in-all, I really enjoy this restaurant, and will return the next time I'm in Boulder!
Excellent experience. The staff and chef were very accommodating. Although it was a special occasion lunch we asked the chef to prepare eggplant parmesan from the dinner menu and he easily accommodated us. We had prosecco to toast the occasion. We had two delightful wait staff persons helping us. The food and bread were both delicious. We often go to the Med when in town and have never had a bad experience. There are many delightful tapas too!
