Our diverse menu features tapas & paellas, artisan pizzas from our Italian wood-burning oven and fresh seafood just to name a few. We also feature a world-class wine, beer and spirits program beautifully complemented by our signature cocktails.
Friend visiting and family
Great dinner with family while in town! Absolutely gorgeous venue and unbelievable food and service.
It seemed a long wait. Finally asked for bread that they used to bring automatically. The waitress serving the food brought most of it all at the same time with very little room
On table to put it. She then removed all the little plates taking up space. I ordered calamari which was very mediocre. The Caesar salad was nothing special. A steak ordered by our out of town friend (in the meat business for years) said it was over cooked. The pizza was good as was the cream brûlée. With so many good restaurants in Boulder, I probably will not suggest going to this one.
New/inexperienced host and wait staff was distracting. While friendly enough, our server was unfamiliar with the menu and was challenged using a wine key. The lamb shwarma gyros were quite good although I wished there was more tzatziki for the dish. Their riff on eggplant parmigiana is non-traditional, not a successful dish in either flavor or presentation. The seared tuna dish had a component missing that the menu described, but was otherwise tasty. They do have a nice wine selection.
Excellent service and very good lunch. Food was fresh and nicely presented. Only issue was that the halibut on the lunch special was over cooked and they forgot to add the sausage. The waitress brought some on the side to make up for it when we asked. Great courtyard to dine in!!!
The location is fine in Boulder, parking is convenient. The actual facility could use a good cleaning however. It looked like there was a food fight under ours and other tables. While the service was adequate they didn't do a good job explaining the menus. The food was good but being Mediterranean it had more of a US influence than I'm used to, Americanized is a good word. I would go again but hopefully they clean up their act.
Had eaten at the Med in March, had halibut with sun dried tomato sauce-was wonderful. Ordered a halibut-different recipe-was fishy, dried out. The accompanying vegetables were so spicy, burnt throat and lips. Server was wonderful, brought salmon dish instead. Salmon was also fishy, accompanying vegetables were terrible, tasteless. This was very disappointing since we have had many enjoyable meals in the past.
Just a bad night? Restrooms were not clean either. They were kind and did not charge for the two unacceptable entrees.
Bring back my pastilles!!!!
We had reservations and other parties coming in after being sat. Not a good perception. We love the med though 🥰
Great experience at the Med last Friday evening. Awesome selection of tapas and I'm only talking about the hot ones. Didn't even look at the cold page of the menu. So much fun to share a variety of different dishes with friends and family. Reminds me of dim sum, only mediterranean style.
Great place, slightly smallish portions but it may have just been what we ordered. Love the Med tho!
Excellent venue for a quiet dinner on a summer evening.
Jeffrey our waiter was very good. Knowledgeable, courteous, prompt. Food was a mixed bag. We ordered 7 different tapas small plates and some were very good (shrimp, steak) some were just ok
Thank you for a wonderful dinner celebrating my mother's 81st birthday. You never disappoint!
The Med never disappoints. Went there to celebrate my birthday. Our waitress was very friendly and efficient. When our cosmo drinks came way too acidic (the bartender loves lemons!!) she was prompt to remediate the situation and bring us new ones. Love to enjoy great food with exceptional customer service! This is why the Med is in my top 3 fav restaurants in the Denver/Boulder area. Cheers!
Looking for Mediterranean food on a Sunday afternoon in Boulder. Salads, Lamb (& chicken) kebabs, tapas....we each were able to order what we liked, nice wine/cocktail choices, great happy hour and excellent service from the Hostess to the servers. What’s not to like!
This time the lunch I had was their special but the filet was tough and not up to their standards.
Halibut was expensive and spicy.
Only negative is that it is incredibly loud - virtually impossible to visit at a table.
The Med was packed with Friday night before the CU-Nebraska game on Saturday and the noise level was very high. We tried the tapas and found them delicious and fun. Server did a great job.
Very nice experience all around for our 49th anniversary
Food was fair. Food loaded with salt!!
All the food was bad except for the trout croquettes. Our ribs were burnt to a crisp. The eggplant parm tasted like a tv dinner meal. The lamb chops weren't good quality. I was extremely disappointed we wasted one of our meals in Boulder on this place with all the good restaurants there. Other restaurants we ate at on the same trip had high quality, delicious food for basically the same cost. Honestly never really had a bad meal in Boulder during my 6 or 7 trips to Boulder. I would not return. We only went here because locals always rave about it. I guess I'll trust my own discretion next time.
Love their tapas. Polenta with prosciutto and chamomile honey is great. Bacon-wrapped dates are always delicious. My 11 y/o son loves Bolognese, theirs does not pass his standards: neither the color nor taste were right. Normally it's packed and loud, on a Labor Day Monday night it was at half capacity or so and the music was cranked too loud for what would have been a quiet-ish crowd. Good music selection, though.
Table dirty. Silverware dirty. Out of bread ( then found some somewhere). Food average (tapas and Mediterranean salad). Overall, not worth the price or time.
Celebrated our anniversary. Excellent food and great service. Our special occasion was even acknowledged with a complimentary dessert.
Food was awesome, with wonderful flavors and variety. We chose several items from the happy hour menu and could not have been more pleased.
We went during happy hour and they were very busy. We had to ask three times for my husbands beer as well as four times for a side of extra pita bread. We waited 1 hour for all of our food to come out and it never did so we finally asked for the check, this was the only time the waitress was quick to bring something to our table. Overall the food (what we got) was not worth the time not the effort. I would not recommend this restaurant.
Ridiculously loud table near the kitchen - clanging pots, crashing dishes, frenetic wait staff. Super hot - no air conditioning or ceiling fans.
Tapas was hit or miss - the lamb skewers were excellent, but the tuna tartare was beyond bland.
Entrees were also a bust - ordered halibut and had to send it back because it was completely dried out from overlooking. The flank steak was like rubber. Very disappointing. We won’t be coming back.
We were able to be seated on the outside patio, which was great!
Great food, amazing service! Will be back for sure.
I love this place. We took my family for my daughters birthday and she had a few friends attend. So many choices and everyone loved what they got. Started with some tapas and then some had pizza, chicken parm, mushroom filet, halibut, lamb kabobs, etc.. lot's of choices. Great service too.
Our server was completely indifferent to our table of ten. Couldn’t be bothered to take all of our orders or deliver the food in a timely manner. Didn’t refill our water glasses or wine glasses. The food was unremarkable and overpriced. I won’t be back and would advise anyone looking to celebrate a special occasion to go elsewhere. There are plenty of restaurants in Boulder to choose from.
We celebrated our anniversary out on the patio at The Med with friends. We had Charlie as our server and he was wonderful. The food and service and atmosphere were perfect! Great place to celebrate!
our server did an absolutely terrific job! Eating outside was a treat~~~great ambience and less noisy than inside. Everything was served in a timely manner:)
Patio is great!
Terrible service but they did take care of us in the end.
Fantastic service and made our anniversary special!
Been going for years. The food is always excellent. It is a very popular place and can get loud. The staff can get very busy, though they generally handle it pretty well. I love that you can get Tapas when you're not that hungry - even better during happy hours.
The service was outstanding. The food was prepared perfectly. It's always consistently good at the Med.
