Our diverse menu features tapas & paellas, artisan pizzas from our Italian wood-burning oven and fresh seafood just to name a few. We also feature a world-class wine, beer and spirits program beautifully complemented by our signature cocktails.
Always a great experience
This is one of my favorite restaurants in Boulder!
We went there with my LA guests because of the menu items and because we thought it would be a fun place. Wrong! Although we a had a reservation and were seated promptly, the table was tucked in a corner and the heat was terrible on my side of the table. No air reached me, although across the table my guests apparently were comfortable as they said they were under a vent blowing cool air. Our server came with a tray of cold waters, but she promptly spilled a full glass on to R. He was holding the wine menu and was able to deflect most of the water onto the floor. The server then cam back with a rag and started mopping up the floor. Then she started using THE SAME RAG to mop uo water spilled onto the table. I stopped her right away, but really! Where is the common sense. As for the food, we ordered four tapas to split among the four of us, then each ordered and entree. The tapas varied but were only OK, especially the crispy polenta and the spanakopitas. The entrees were all mediocre to poor, especially the paella and the Margherita pizza.
Asked for patio in online reservation and by phone. Was surprised that we did not get it, with no explanation. Food very good, properly prepared, though one dinner came out much later than the 3 others. With fish, you really can’t wait long before it gets cold.
Always a great experience for dining. The food is consistent and service spot on.
Best place to eat in Boulder!! In a town that is supposedly "Foodie", The Med is way above the rest, no question.
Excellent, as always. My favorite place anytime we want a special meal.
Service was good but the food was average. We tried several tapas and a salad. The chicken on the salad was very dry and cold.
I've been going to the Med for decades. This meal was not up to the usual standard. I got Hanger Steak Entree, over cooked, dry, (ordered medium rare-not a hint of pink) and a very small portion of steak. Wife ordered Chicken Picatta, same thing, over cooked, dry, meh. Shrimp I ordered as app was tasty but cam out a minute before my entree. Waitress was friendly but had to many tables to give us proper attention.
Yummy menu! Delicious!!
Atmosphere was great. The food (lamb skewers and lamb chop "dinner") were tough, fatty and so thin they together couldn't have had 2oz of meat. Calamari was over-cooked and could have been anything deep fat fried. Such a disappointment. Martinis were excellent - we should have stopped there.
Really thought the food was mediocre for the price. I had Lamb lollipops (2) which had very little flavor and were $33. My wife had the gluten free eggplant parm meal which was very simply prepared and presented.
The tapas are wonderful and the main reason to go! Unfortunately, we had mediocre service from the waitstaff on my last visit. On top of that, our tapas arrived quickly and were delicious, but our entree order got lost somehow and after waiting an extremely long time for our food, finally had to ask our wait staff to go and check on it. The manager ended up comping our meals, which we had to take 'to go'.
Our group thoroughly enjoyed lunch at The Med. The food was delicious, the service was perfect and we enjoyed eating in the patio. Everyone at The Med is so very friendly and welcoming. We all had the Spinach Salad and it was so good. We love The Med.
Service was friendly and attentive, and the food was uniformly delicious! Highly recommended!
The Med is a Boulder institution ..... fair enough..... but it has become a bit too predictable relative to the menu.... The Indian-inspired vegetarian entree was shockingly mediocre (unless you are in the mood for a lot of rice) and the service..... well, if the servers insist on clearing the plates of the 2 people who finished their entrees while the other two are “still working on it” there is really nothing more to say ....
It was a perfect evening and the Med staff went out of their way to make our anniversary celebration extra special! Thank you.
Great happy hour. Yummy food. Staff is ok. We have been there a couple times in the last month and have been disappointed with our waitstaff. The food is delicious though.
DInner was a bit hit and miss. Some tapas were fabulous and others had no flavor. Also the restaurant was very hot and a bit uncomfortable to sit in. My date had sweat dripping down his face which was not great.
Our waiter was great. It seemed to take a long time to get our food then a long lime to get the dessert I brought.
The food was great but the restaurant was so loud it was unpleasant to be inside.
Love the food at The Med! The patio is a great place to spend an evening. It was louder than I had remembered, but could still have a conversation at our table with no problem. The service was great. Very attentive to our needs and food came out quickly. I will always keep coming back her for their bacon wrapped dates!
The Med is a great place for tapas style Mediterranean fare. We have been coming here for 3 years and it never disappoints.
We ordered all the apps that contained cheese - no, seriously, I think we did. Everything was delicious.
The only comment I’d make is that all the food came out at once rather spacing - I think we ordered 5 things - so there wasn’t much room on the table.
12/10 would return.
Without a doubt, I always love The Med, ibith food and experience. My last experience was celebrating my mom’s birthday, who was visiting. It didn’t feel very “special”, and I had to remind the staff that we wanted a special dessert, which I indicated in my OpenTable reservation. It seems like they did not check the notes I provided and I had to ask for it in front of my mom - so much for a surprise. 😔
In addition, a different server delivered the dessert (without what I had asked for), practically threw it on the table (it literally slid half way across the table), did not bring fresh forks/spoons and stormed off without saying a word. It just felt very rude and impersonal, especially when we were celebrating. Thankfully, our actual server recognized this and was incredibly apologetic and helped “make it right”.
We have been coming here for years. It was especially nice this visit. The happy hour tapas were the best ever. Our server was patient and helpful. The seating hostess found us a relatively quiet corner. A feast for an amazing total.
4 of us and all had absolutely delicious meals. Excellent service as well.
We were seated by a window at 6:00PM with the sun streaming in, very uncomfortable
The Tapas were tasty and fresh. The server was not so attentive. However, we had a good experience.
The food and service were great! Highly recommended :)
The waitstaff are friendly and attentive, and the food - delicious as always. This visit the ravioli and pasta bolognese were particularly good. We had entrees this time, but they have an extensive menu of small plates - great for lighter meals. Try the bacon-wrapped dates. The Med has the loveliest outdoor space in Boulder. It also has the loudest, tiniest impossibly noisiest dining room around - polar opposites. We only go when the weather allows us to eat outside. I recommend the same. After 35 years in Boulder, the Med remains one of our all-time favorites. Definitely go, and make sure you have a reservation.
Excellent food, our server was terrific. noise level next to window on east side was hard to hear conversations
Nice overall. Been there many times over the years. Meal portions seem to have shrunk. Food was tasty, but left hungry.
Very polite and efficient staff. We come here all the time for outdoor seating and Tapas.
Sat outside which is recommended. Food choices were great. Only complaint is that everything was pretty salty.
Portions are incredibly small. We spent over $200 for 4 people and everyone's left hungry.
Our Birthday dinner celebration was wonderful, out on the back "Porch" you feel like you are on vacation, loads of great options for tapas and dinner entree's, with relaxed service staff that seem happy to be there!
Hoped to get out on the patio, and was very happy when we got seated outside.
Wine selection room was good and we all found something we liked.
We tried several tapas, including the bacon wrapped dates,
Artichoke dip, meatballs and calamari. All very tasty.
We had a few wood-fired pizzas, an order of paella and a Caesar salad with salmon. Everyone enjoyed their meal.
The service was alright; good timing on food and drinks. The portions for appetizers and entres are so small and the plates are overpriced. Not coming back. Did it once. I learned, and going to better restaurants in the future.
Wonderful place. Service was excellent. Noise level was high- we had a great round table but very difficult to hear all in the group of 5.
Service was so great!
