The Mebane Downtown Table
So fun and so delicious! We will make this a regular spot!
This was our first visit the The Mebane Downtown Table. We had heard from several friends and family that it is a very special place and well worth going. We were not disappointed! The filet mignon was delicious and cooked perfectly; the shrimp with pasta had a wonderful flavor. Our waitress, Natasha, was warm as well as helpful in making recommendations for us. We definitely intend to return many times in the future.
Relaxing atmosphere, fine food and great service. Will definitely return!
The food was excellent and our server was one of the best servers I've ever had. The only thing anyone complained about was it was so cold in there it was uncomfortable.
Brunch at The Mebane Downtown Table is worth the drive. Coming from the triangle, I meet friends from the triad for lunch or dinner in Mebane. The Table offers delicious dishes in a quaint atmosphere.
I think I may have been on an “off night” where communication from kitchen to staff to customer was a bit lacking. My girlfriend and I ordered an appetizer that arrived very quickly. However, when it came to our entrees it took a full hour to be served from the time we ordered with no communication about the wait. When asked, the answer I received was that the kitchen was unsure about product levels of the special that they advertised and were scrambling to make sure they had sufficient items to serve. If this would of been communicated to us, it would have easily given 5 stars. The lack of empathy on the time is really what bummed me out...
Mebane downtown table is a breath of fresh air. The food was excellent and our server was wonderful. The nightly special was excellent quality but a little pricey. Overall 5 star experience.
A nice restaurant with pleasant staff, great food, and a lovely decor. A great place to have a date night with my wife.
Mebane was a half-way point for meeting friends for lunch to celebrate birthdays, we took a chance on this restaurant. It was great! Our server was accommodating, attentive without being intrusive. The cocktails were fine and everyone enjoyed their food. We'd go back.
Brunch after a wedding celebration last night brought us to The Table. It was only moderately busy, but two large groups seemed to occupy several wait staff's attention. The two biscuits with apple butter brought early was a thoughtful and delicious beginning with the quite good coffee. The avocado toast breakfast was well prepared and quite tasty. However it could benefit from one additional slice to accompany the two crispy slices of bacon provided. The on the town breakfast was good but also needs a third slice of bacon. Delicious sourdough toast though! Took a while to get someone's attention for a coffee refill. That's the reason for the #4 rating. I don't expect it to take 10 minutes for wait staff to see my gestures for their attention. Overall a good meal and I'd certainly return to try the lunch selections.
GREAT AS USUAL! SERVICE IS ALWAYS OUTSTANDING AND FOOD IS VERY TASTY.
Mothers’ birthday brunch with my wife and sisters. Very good time! Service can be a little more personable and prompt but overall good experience!
A group of 40 added to the noise level. The food and service were wonderful.
This was our first time in Mebane. Finding a restaurant this nice in the typical-looking small Southern town was a surprise! The ambiance was very pleasant. There is a full bar menu of drinks, wine, and beer. We don’t eat meat, which can sometimes be a difficult situation away from a larger city, but there were two good vegetarian main dish choices on the menu, a sandwich with portobello mushrooms and avocados, and a vegan bowl with spaghetti squash, oyster mushrooms, and other great ingredients. The meat-based choices also looked like they’d be good. Our server was helpful and attentive without hovering.
I would definitely go back for another meal if I found myself in Mebane.
The meal was outstanding. I had the seared tuna special and it was truly unique. This is a little “jewel” in a smalll town.
I ordered the vegetable omellete. Wasn't impressed. I expected my veggies to be cut up more. Tomatoes were too large and the spinach was whole pieces. Would never get it again. My husband enjoyed his meal. Prices were on the high-side.
Our waitress Natasha was outstanding and the food was equally great!
We had a wonderful and delicious Easter brunch. Such an awesome restaurant
The Mebane Downtown Table was perfect for our group of 5 that shared Easter brunch together. While the food and service were of a very high quality, the best thing about the restaurant was the fact that the noise level was very low and the ambiance was very comfortable and pleasant. We all had something different and all were very happy with their choices. The selection for brunch was very well split between sweet and savory for the crossover of breakfast and lunch. Excellent menu. This was our second trip there from Greensboro and we will go back again!
Wonderful dining experience for our 10th Year Wedding Anniversary. I would highly recommend to friends and family.
This was my first time there for dinner and I, nor my guests, were disappointed. Great presentation of the food and great food!
This past Saturday was my first time dining at The Mebane Downtown Table. I treated my friend to a birthday treat-brunch. I was pleased with the ease of reservations and parking. The staff was very good. However, the waitress never asked how our food was, for if she had I would have told her that I was not happy. My friend and I both ordered the Crab Cake Eggs Benedict. It came with roasted, red potatoes. Both the crab cakes and the potatoes were cool. It would have delicious had it been warm/hot.
Because I previously read several positive reviews about the coconut cake, I ordered a slice. It had good flavor and the icing was good, however the cake was dry.
I will not speculate as to why our food was served at a unsatisfactory temperature, but I do know it had nothing to do with the crowd, because it was not crowded when we arrived.
Birthday dinner for my wife while visiting our daughter at Elon U. Found the place looking close to hotel and everything was very good. Really enjoyed it.
Always enjoy an evening at the Table. Service and food is always excellent and atmosphere comfortable.
Second trip there. First was fine. The chili relleno was cold. I sent it back, and the improvement was negligible. When the cheese in the relleno doesn’t melt, and is still inside the chili as a block, it should be a warning sign that it is not cooked at temperature. A really big miss. My wife’s dish was adequate. Wine by the glass, for what they are pouring, is too expensive. The value is not there.
Great food and a great restaurant. I love what it adds to the Great City of Mebane. I always enjoy the food and the surroundings...very nice setting for dinner .....
We’ve had both lunch and dinner. This time we celebrated a birthday for dinner. Food is always fresh and delicious. The atmosphere is casual but chic. I have enjoyed every experience. Great date spot as well!!
The food was good, but the menu was a bit of a reach. Keep it simple, unless you can pull off the fancy bits.
The food was wonderful. I would eat there again. Went with a lot of family members and everyone had great food.
Service was excellent, menu choices were great. The Gun Dog Malbec wine was very good. However, the cast iron filets we had were very disappointing, maybe the worst filet I’ve ever had. The yummy cheesecake could not remove the sour taste of paying $36 for each of these steaks!
Our reservation was for 530 last Saturday night. Restaurant only had one other table. After we placed our dinner orders. We had a longer wait than usual , to receive our food. After we received our entrees.
We requested extra bread and it wasn’t ever received. I think the entree portions size were small for the set price point. I had the red snapper special, which was scrumptious. We enjoyed our evening with our friends. We look forward to dining at your restaurant in the future.
The Mebane Downtown Table is our new favorite. We celebrated my wife's birthday there recently. The food, the table setting and the service were all exceptional. The food is perfectly prepared and thoughtfully presented. The hilites of the evening were Shrimp and Grits and the Osso Buco. A very pleasant surprise was the pickled beet salad.
The only complaint I have is for $30 I would’ve liked a little bit more food. My wife and I both left still hungry. The food was delicious. I’m told I notice small things that no one else would ever notice but there were a few small details like a little bit of paint could just push it up to 5 starts. Great restaurant though.
Great food and service- wait staff friendly and accommodating. Cocktails delicious!
Will return again soon!
I did as soon as I returned to work. It was a birthday celebration for my family and we loved it, exactly what we wanted, quality and not over the top but definitely memorable. Great service, great food and a great experience.
Yes, I would highly recommend this restaurant! Everything about the entire dining experience was great! The staff was exceptionally friendly! Will return for sure!
Delicious food and great service.
Nice location, an appealing selection of menu items, comfortable seating and table space, and attentive service. Thank you. D S Cunningham MD
The just might have the best chocolate torte in North Carolina! The coconut cake is awesome, too! Our waitress made lemonade for us. It was the perfect mix of bitter and sweet.
The food was wonderful as I expected it would be. Our waiter made the evening exceptional. He was wonderfully warm and attentive. We felt right at home and look forward to our next dining experience.
