Everything was delicious! Service was great! I would definitely recommend.
We had a great dinner with friends. The charcuterie board was delicious, with interesting items.
We had 4 different entrees, quail, pumpkin risotto, lamb ragu pappardelle, and mushroom ricotta ravioli. We all tasted each other’s entree and they were all excellent.
The service was very good and attentive.
I would highly recommend The Market Place Restaurant.
Great service. Thanks Jason!!
The food was exceptional and the service was the same. Very attentive to our needs. I had the Tuna and it was amazing!
It was Incredible!!! Every ounce of the food was fantastic!
Server was great. White Christmas was yummy. Ravioli amazing
Was ok but not impressed. The menu only included one beef dish and at a very high price. Service was ok.
Excellent food, my only suggestion is to care a little bit more about frying, my kale balls were a little bit to brown that indicates either too cooked or used old oil.
Overall I was happy
The arugula pear salad was great. Nice balance of flavors. The trout special was fabulous paired with the mushrooms and carrots. Service is always spot on. Market Place is on our regular rotation!
Great food and service.
The food was great however within 100 yards of the restaurant entrance were scary looking homeless men shouting at each other and hassling patrons in the area. There were lots of these type people in the area, felt like our safety was in jeopardy.
Presentation of food was nice but the taste was not good at all. My steak was all fat. My soup tasted like baby food with a chunk of burnt crab cake thrown in the middle. As for the pecan pie….. ive had better from the bakery at Walmart.
We spent over $300 for a nice NYE dinner….. and regret it. The menu was a set 3 course meal…… both my partner and I didn’t like anything except the tuna. Not a fan of this place and I would Never go back. The service was good….. but not up to par for the price. Had to poor my own champagne. I guess I’m use to a true fine finding experience being from south Florida where there are lots of amazing restaurants. This place was not even close. Sorry…..
Wow, New Year's Eve dinner was a blast the grouper with excellent the yellowfin tuna excellent in the pecan pie excellent! Our server was amazing.....
Went for NEW YEARS EVE special seating and limited menu. Whole experience was very rushed. Heard chef comment to other customer that he was ready to leave and go party as soon as he can get this final seating done. Food was ok, but not great. Granted, we live outside New Orleans so our expectations are high. Love the city, but it’s culinary scene has some growing to do.
Over priced, no bread on table. This was New Years Eve however. Wait staff excellent. Decorations festive. Will probably try another restaurant next year, Rey few choices available after original reservation was cancelled by another restaurant due to Covid.
Overall we enjoyed our evening. It was a set menu for New Years Eve. Our only issue was when we sat down waiter told us we would get champagne at end of meal. Two of is never drank it because we don't like champagne. When the bill came there was a $10 per glass charge. This surprised us as we never asked for it and assumed it was part of the package.
Everything was Perfect!
We had New Year's dinner here and was treated to a delicious fixed dinner in a relaxed and trendy environment. The beet salad and the seared yellowtail tuna was on point and the sirloin strip steak, duck breast and the pan seared grouper was also very good. The dessert was Toasted pecan pie with homemade vanilla ice cream and a double chocolate cake also with a cream. All the dishes came out warm and at the same time(Party of five) the drinks was nice and strong and the service was great. Truly a awesome place to visit whenever you are in the Asheville area!
The write ups on this place are excellent, but we found the menu lacking especially since they were out of Brussels sprouts and did not have several offerings that they list on the online menu. My tuna was good, and my son enjoyed his pork shoulder, but they have very little imagination is their appetizers. Seed bread seemed to be the favorite for the tables around us, but isn’t bread usually a part of the kitchens offering to its diners????!!
Wonderful food, maybe the delicious meal I have ever had.
Very cool-looking restaurant in downtown Ashville with overpriced and unimpressive menu.
Unfortunately, this meal was not up to standard. We ordered a couple of pasta dishes and the pasta was strangely very thick, both for the ravioli and the pappardelle. It was hard to chew through, uncooked, and not very appetizing.
Overall, not worth the price tag, though the interior and the service was nice.
I had the pork shoulder and collard greens and it was amazing. The flavors were excellent but not too rich. The Market Place is a must when visiting Ashville.
Wonderful food and great cocktails
We are foodies
The restaurant was a last minute pick but we’ve been there before and we have had a great meal every time
Our server Beth made it all the more enjoyable
If you’re in Asheville don’t miss this place great for a date night or family

Mojito was not good. Entrees were served at room temperature and the portions were not enough for the price. Hard quail and it was very fatty with mediocre taste. Also had pork shoulder and it was also mediocre in flavor. Good atmosphere and good service though.
One of our favorite restaurants in Asheville. Love their trout dishes!
Great food good atmosphere!
Great experience! We would dine there again. Incredible bottle of wine!!
The food, the drinks, the ambiance!!! A fabulous place for a special occasion.
Amazing Brunch! Biscuits and Jelly delicious! Would definitely go back again!
Very good meal. Good service. Would go there again.
Burger was SO good. I’d come back here any time.
The service was on point. The craft cocktails were amazing I had something called down the rabbit hole two of them actually. And the pistachio ravioli is a must get. I read about this place and while traveling through town enjoyed an amazing dinner & would highly recommend. The food and the service is definitely where they earn their five stars, the ambience is nice but not over the amazing. Worth a try.
The food was impeccable and so was the service! It is one of our favorite restaurants in Asheville.
We had the tuna and the grouper. The curry sauce for the tuna was phenomenal as was the tomato based (with some ham bits) sauce for the grouper. And we will be back for the after dinner seasonal drinks of the Cha Cha and the White Christmas.
For us it was an anniversary celebration and we greatly appreciated John, our server.
The food was amazing. The staff were friendly and service was top notched. We will be back.
Market Place did not disappoint. Everything was excellent as always.
Amazing banana bread French toast. Omelette my wife had was also impeccable. Coffee and herb roasted potatoes round things out nicely. Britta, our waitress was delightful!
