local ingredients. We are a brick and mortar building in the Gas Light

The MARKET has a casual to elegant dining experience. Jennifer has been a

of cooking and wine. The MARKET offers familiar dishes with a twist and an
incredible wine list. The MARKET has a huge variety of local beers, craft
cocktails and local cold brew on tap. We are here for you for happy hour,
dinner, weekend brunch, Thursday wine nights and private parties.

First of all, Jennifer’s choice in music at the restaurant is amazing!!! We loved the Bobby brown :).
The food was amazing, fresh, tasty, and beautiful in presentation.
It was the perfect bit!
Great service, one of my favorite dining experiences in Phoenix!
Far better than expected! Don't let the surroundings fool you. It's about the food and service -- not the decor.
Each dish was had a unique touch and provided layers of flavors. Our first time here -- but certainly won't be our last! Looking forward to trying the weekend brunch menu in the near future.
Restaurant Week menu was worth the trip - one I never would have made unless I saw their offerings. They are a catering business that runs a small restaurant. Well worth a visit.
The food was amazing and the service was top notch!
Delicious for brunch, small cute cozy Cafe type setting. With upscale food, you don't make at home!
Best burger and house made chips ever. But the last table besides me, kept going in and out with no masks. Not appreciated.
everything was perfect, food was excellent!
This is one of my 4 favorite restaurants in Phoenix. The food choices for the restaurant week were fantastic. The salmon Wellington was a twist that I have never tasted before and it was out of this world. Did the wine pairing with dinner and the vet nice you lady who assisted me, suggested a change up with my
Meal selection and it turned out really well.
This place should be a lot higher rated, but alas it would then be harder to get into. The menu was well put together and the staff is fantastic
I love Restaurant Week because it encourages me to try new restaurants. The Market is fantastic. Loved the food and the vibe! I’ll definitely be back
John Baer !!! Soooogood!
We had a layover in Phoenix and randomly chose a restaurant for dinner. Couldn't have been a better choice. Food was amazing and the staff was super friendly and helpful. Highly recommend!
Great service, friendly staff, great food and such a cute little place! Support local!
I made a confirmed reservation but the restaurant was closed. No notice... nothing. I drove all the way there only to have a closed restaurant. Really?!?!
The bucatini and the lamb entrees were excellent. The corn chowder was good once it was salted and peppered. The salmon and pancake appetizer left a lot to be desired. The pancake was mushy and the over all flavor was very bland. Tha blueberry tart really wasn't a tart. Strawberry shortcake was excellent. Food is one step away from fabulous. Needs some oomph
Service was great, however, the music was too loud.
The restaurant wasn't what I thought it was going to be. Based on the pics on Yelp, it seemed to have a vibe similar to some comparable Fox Concept restaurants. Not quite though. Ultimately, the food was not as I would expect it to be. We ordered the breakfast sandwich and it was so greasy with butter. They should have just grilled the interior sides of the brioche bun, but they grilled the outside parts of it which made it really greasy to handle. I couldn't finish the sandwich from the satiety of the butter/grease. The bacon, cheese, and egg was fine, but the way they prepared the brioche bun made it bad. They charged $14 for it, so you'd think you were about to get this amazing breakfast sandwich, but not so. They did offer fruit in lieu of chips without charging more which was nice. The side of fruit was the best part of the meal (blueberries, strawberries, blackberries, raspberries, and fresh apple slices). This was really well done.
It was just awesome! We loved the food (excellent quality, lots of food), the value, the friendliness of the staff, and the ambience. We’ll definitely return again and again.
After two months of home cooked meals and an appetite for something different, I booked Jennifer's Restaurant & Bar hoping for a new and tasty experience. When we arrived there was one other couple, 2 wait staff, a chef and what appeared to be 2 kitchen helpers. We ordered a bottle of wine, an appetizer and a bread board prior to main courses.
The wine came and we drank the first glass and half way thru the second before the appetizer came. The fried calamari on grilled kale was flavorless and the calamari was tiny and tough to chew. The bread plate arrived which was s good thing because the entrees took another 25 minutes to arrive.
My wife ordered shrimp and grits and I ordered the seared tuna. Not exactly difficult to prepare choices!
The shrimp and grits were flavorful however the seared tuna was over cooked and tasted like it had already gone bad. Not flavorful and truly boring! Good money paid for mediocre food preparation and service.
The wait was magnified as a take out order was being processed and prepared for pick up by 3 of the 5 employees. Three more diners walked in and our waiter basically orphaned us while taking the 3 top drink order.
Never checked on us to see if we needed anything or on how the meal was thus far.
Lastly and this is an observation.....the chef was wearing gloves to prepare all of the food however he was constantly on his cell phone. Let me think about this one....typing on the phone with gloves on and then preparing our food without changing gloves?
everything was outstanding, the food, the service, the ambiance
The food was delicious beyond words! The food fresh top quality and the presentation was impeccable! So, love all cute little things that made it fun! The customer service was top notch! The Ambience and atmosphere is a place that makes want to come again and again!!! my best FRIEND’s birthday a memorable one! Chef Jennifer Amazing!!! I highly recommend this restaurant!
Our experience exceeded our expectations. We will certainly return and recommend to our friends
Expectations were high. Valentines Day fixed menu for $80 per person, fish was overcooked and dry, as was the filet. Ordered the wine pairing with dinner and didn’t get served all the wine. Service was slow and no one checked on us until the end. Very disappointing in all aspects.
I discovered this quaint restaurant while searching for an open reservation on Valentine's Day. I'm glad I found it! The meal options were special for the holiday so we chose the filet mignon and the seared halibut. We also selected a wine pairing option for one of the meals as we did not want too much alcohol on a night we needed to drive. The 4-course meals were both very delicious. The 4-star rating relative to the food is due to the fact that my halibut was a bit over-cooked and a tad bit tough. The service was excellent, the ambiance sweet and subdued and the wine pairings very appropriate. We look forward to a return visit!
Great food, good service. Happy hour choices limited but good quality and value.
First time visiting Market by Jennifer really enjoyed the food and the service that we received. I think this is a hidden gem, which is as good or better than most top tier restaurants. We will definitely return to try different menu items
Wow! I could not say anything more. This place was beyond delicious. From the service, to the food, 5 stars! We had the meatballs, lamb and seafood risotto and it was all AMAZING!
We went for their brunch on a Saturday. It was really amazing! The restaurant is clean and charming. The waiter was extremely friendly and helpful. The food was delicious. I highly recommend the beignets as a starter for the table for brunch.
My husband and I like to enjoy brunch on Sunday. Our server Beau was very welcoming, he explained in detail the entree I wanted to order and according to my husband he made a delicious Long Island ice tea!
Lunch with friends
A hidden jewel in Central Phoenix. We went on New Years Eve as a last minute choice. It was amazing. Just great food that was prepared and presented perfectly. Small intimate place with great food. You feel as if you are in a good friends home. Strongly recommend!
I liked it, not overly sophisticated but I’ll have to go back and give it another try. The server was super nice, but didn’t know the answer to questions on the menu. My lunch guest had some allergies (soy) to be aware of (yes i know that it’s annoying, but there should be so canned answers for those type of guests). The women’s bathroom sink wasn’t functioning so that was a surprise to my guest and a couple of other patrons but the server was able to remedy the situation. I really enjoyed the local, just need to go at a different time, which I will do. Maybe for dinner.
The food was amazing! Had the shrimp and grits appetizer, and gnocchi and Bolognese entrees ALL incredible!
Between the 4 of us, we were gluten free, dairy free(not me), too hung over to eat and easy to please and everyone left very satisfied. Great brunch overall but very very slow service so if you are in a rush maybe not your beat option. There was only a handful of patrons but I know they do catering first and foremost so may have been an isolated situation. I had the lettuce wrapped Market Cheese Burger and it was outstanding...
Took our friends here for the first time and will not go back. Short on staff. Not a friendly place. Two of us got our meal and ten minutes later the other two got theirs. Not even that good for what we paid. No apologies. We won’t be going back. Too many other good restaurants in the area.
Amazing food, drinks, and service! Can’t wait to go back.
The food, as typical was very good, although the frites were unsalted and somewhat flavorless. I was very surprised that for a Sunday brunch, I could not get a cup of decaf coffee. Also, beignets were on the menu as a starter, yet when we ordered them we were first told they were not available, then told we could have them as a dessert if we still wanted them. There was some confusion over how to split the cost of the beignets with our dining partners.
We had an early breakfast-brunch reservation. They were out of most items we were favoring. How do you run out of grits by 10:30?!? The entrees that we did have were very mediocre. It’s was a total fail.
We had a wonderful evening at Jennifer's Market. Everything went well from the time we walked in to the time we left. Attention to detail, great food , service in a pleasant atmosphere was great. The food tops...great gourmet from the beginning to end. My rack of lamb on a bed of scalloped potatoes was fabulous. We had a wonderful evening and they honored our friend's birthday with a complimentary dessert. I am glad we live in the neighborhood and can not wait to return.
Went for restaurant week - they were not offering the other entree items but didn’t know that.
Bread pudding had zero taste.
The margarita on the rocks was the best thing I had for dinner.
