We have been eating at The Marisol for years. Heather and Scott are so knowledgeable about the food. The food and drinks were excellent. Can’t wait til next time.
Still the best food and restaurant experience in the Greensboro area, year after year.
We've heard about the "nice" little restaurant, Marisol, for years and yet never tried it. Now I know what everyone is talking about! You really must give them a try if you are looking for a special occasion or a romantic dinner. The menu features so many fresh and local options that you'll have a hard time choosing....we enjoyed an amazing appetizer featuring risotto and lobster. I had a caeser salad with flash fried oysters that was out of this world and my wife enjoyed a perfectly prepared wedge salad. For the entrees we enjoyed a fresh shrimp plate and perhaps the best prepared lamb dish I've ever eaten. Paired with a Silverado Merlot, I can't remember a better combination. Although we didn't have room for dessert, our hostess convinced us to try the chocolate molten ganache....so, we dove right in and did our best to devour every morsel. Our service was exceptional.....we were made to feel right at home and welcomed. This will most certainly be the first place I think of when I want a memorable evening out!
The food is cooked perfectly! The wait staff and quality of our meals was above and beyond our expectations! This place is a real gem! Will go back soon!
Nice upscale approach to dinner
Service team is friendly and very polished
Local sausage appetizer was great
Salmon special was even better
Tad pricey on wine by the glass options
Heather & Scott are excellent
I absolutely love Marisol. It has been a family favorite for over twenty years. Heather is the most outstanding waitress. Highly recommend!!
We had a Birthday Dinner this week in Marisol’s and it couldn’t have been any nicer. It is run Beautifully! Everyone enjoyed every bite and our service was impeccable. They made us all feel welcome and glad to be there. Two of our party had never been there before but had wanted to try it ... they were very impressed and said they would return. All dishes were superb in every way!
Thank you, Marisol!
We enjoyed a wonderful dinner here. Service is spot on and between the 3 people that helped us we never had to ask for anything. Waiter made wonderful suggestions for pairings of wine with dinner options. Food was above expectations and had wonderful flavors. Reccomend to anyone who wants a dining experience like no other. But also know this comes with a price. Not the cheapest place to eat...but you also get what you pay for. Enjoy
Very attentive staff. Impressive wine list. Great food
This is, simply, the best restaurant in the Triad. We have always had a first-rate experience there.
We always request Scott ~ he is awesome and always makes the best recommendations.
Met another couple for a Friday night dinner at Marisol. We were seated immediately at our specified time. Libations we’re excellent. Heather recited the several specials available that evening. Each of us had a different entree. Mine was the crispy duck which was superb, after an appetizer of the foie gras, which was delicious. Service was good, wine was reasonably priced. We have eaten at most fine restaurants in Greensboro. Marisol is the best!
Best dining experience in Triad...unparalleled food, service and graciousness.
Best Food we have had in the Greensboro area. Its wonderful when the specials outnumber the items on the menu!
Consistently the absolute BEST restaurant in the Greensboro area. I will be driving from Charlotte to continue enjoying this fabulous food and service!!!!
The Marisol is an outstanding culinary experience! It competes with the best, globally, in my opinion. Every dish was delicious, expertly prepared with sophisticated interpretations on some usual items. Great selection of daily features. Drinks are great, wine list is very nice with good range. Service stellar. I cant compliment them enough!
The food is always “over the top” delicious! We had the baked oyster appetizers which were fabulous. A salmon with tzatziki was awesome. Stuffed flounder was a big hit. I always like it when they offer a fish “en papillote” but they didn’t have it this night ~ maybe because it was a week night. Scott is always our waiter and is wonderful. He knows the current menu intimately and always offers the best suggestions. It’s our favorite restaurant ever !
Marisol's is truly a dining experience. All of the staff are friendly and engaging. Our server, Heather, knows every single ingredient of every dish, and describes each one in so much detail, that you can almost taste it! I would highly recommend Marisol's!
by far the best food preparation, presentation and knowledgable staff in Greensboro.
Excellent service from the minute we sat down. Leisurely paced meal with most indulgent food. Wait staff extremely knowledgeable and spot on with both food and wine recommendations!
Excellent service. Great food. Will definitely come again!
First rate cuisine with attentive and friendly service make Marisol’s the place for a special meal. Great wines , yummy desserts and a fresh take on contemporary american cuisine.
Excellent! We always love the food and experience at Marisol. One of our all time favorite places for dinner.
Marisol is one of my favorite fine dining restaurants in the Greensboro area. The service and food are always a treat.
Always creative and delicious! The amouse bouche is always delightful, so you are assured of good things to come!
Always the best!
Other than the fact that my Open Table reservation was not on the system, everything else was wonderful. Service gracious and perfect. Food outstanding and ambiance very enjoyable.
We try to get up to Greensboro at least once a year so we can enjoy a night out at Marisol. The food and service with a Heather is always outstanding and worth the trip from Greenville, SC.
Great food.!!!!!! Restaurant needs a total renovation. Chairs are falling apart and very uncomfortable.
The lamb was the best we ever had. The server was excellent. One of the best restaurants in the area.
As always, our favorite place to eat in the Greensboro area. Heather was her usual amazing self, with a detailed knowledge of the whole menu and all the specialities. Everything was absolutely delightful. We’ll keep coming back again and again.
While they advertise on their website as being vegan and vegetarian friendly, it’s not the case. There is not one item on the menu that is such. The chef graciously agreed to put a vegetarian meal together, it was lacking. It consisted of sweet potato purée, brocolli, shredded cabbage truffles and coined potato. Eh. If you like meat by all means go here (as did the other members of our party). It should not contain the words vegan or vegetarian friendly because it is not.
Last night we celebrated my father's 84th birthday at Marisol. We had a slight table snafu at first (they believed the reservation to be for 2, rather than 4 of us) but they promptly made the adjustment and we were very comfortable. Now. The rest of the evening!! The table service is what truly stands out, alongside the exquisite menu/special offerings. It's been a while since we had "true" fine dining (with expediters watching for just the right time to remove your fork, knife, etc. and replace them...or exactly when to remove an empty appetizer plate, rather than having it linger) and our server was knowledgeable, courteous and engaging. Every movement was well choreographed and we raved about the menu offerings and QUALITY of each course. We had waited way too long to visit Marisol but won't wait long to return!
Marisol was absolutely amazing! Every bite was delicious!
Great food and atmosphere. The staff is very attentive and detailed oriented.
Excellent meal with excellent service. Scott is an outstanding waiter. Great wines and good suggestions for wine and dinner. Loved our experience.
Felt like we were rushed through dinner.
Food was good but service was disappointing. I felt as though the waiter did not give us as good of service as other tables got since we didn't want appetizers or bottle of wine. Despite spending over $100, I think those spending more got better service. The portions were not big enough to justify paying the amount listed. I wouldn't mind paying more if the atmosphere and service were better.
Fantastic meal and attentiveness from server even on a busy Friday evening. Started with French martinis, served chilled. Gazpacho with goat cheese as starter, organic salad with stilton or goat cheese choices depending on salad choice. Both were delicious. We chose a salmon and a veal entree with appropriate Pinot Noir suggested by server. Meal portions more than adequate. Will return.
