The Mariner's Inn
Bill and Betty’s sons, Bill, Jack, and Robert, along with their crew, now carry on the tradition of outstanding hospitality of von Rutenberg Ventures. Waterfront dining on the patio and a sunset over the marina make dinner at Mariner’s an evening to remember. We offer five options for dining. Dine-in, expanded outdoor seating, carryout, curbside, and dockside. Try our monthly summer Lobster Boil. You can now enjoy the lobster boils by dine-in or takeout! Advance reservations required.

Great food. Great service. Great location with a great history
Six for dinner and we all overindulged, the food and service was good.
It was so great to be able to dine out again (after our COVID19 vaccinations). Of course we chose Mariners! Great food & service - and the old fashions were great!
Welcome home from military
We always enjoy coming there. Like being able to make a reservation online and have always been accomadated. Doug and kent are the best. Sorry i don't remember any of our waitresses names but we have always had to service. Thank you for asking. Shirley baltzer

Mariner's was my mother's favorite restaurant over a decade or two ago and she hadn't been there since. I wanted to do something special for her birthday and spoil her. The food was amazing but our only two complaints would be the happy hour only being in the bar and the server. We were sat at the table directly across from the door to the bar area, not even ten feet away and yet we couldn't get the happy hour specials? that just seems a tad ridiculous; we even considered ordering our drinks in the bar room and walking them the TEN FEET back to our table. The server was just a bit short. He did a fine job, but was not personable at all. There were also a few times he would ask us a question or we would be mid sentence and he would walk away to where the entrance to the kitchen was. I understand he was getting waters for other tables or something else but it seems very unprofessional to multitask that obviously considering how much we are paying. It's not just the food we pay for, it's also the experience and that was not catered to very well by him. We were not looking for a "drive by" ordering experience.
My son and I really enjoyed the Easter brunch. The food was delicious. The service was good, and the ambience was great. Thank you for a great experience!
Easter Brunch - I understand they are normally open during the evening but they did a very nice job on the Brunch. Service came fast and the menu was great!
We ordered tenderloin and lobster. Our meal was "to die for". The staff was so kind and friendly. This is my favorite restaurant.
Great steak and the jumbo shrimp were the best. The interior decor is somewhat dated, but the food makes up for it. Definitely go back!
Our group of friends are all vaccinated so we celebrated with dinner out! Only small little issue, it was a bit dark at our table. Otherwise, everything else was great!
Great evening out with my family
While visiting Madison, decided to try a new restaurant. While the service was good, it was also disappointing. Our server neglected to mention the daily specials to us and was more interested in just taking our order and being done. I will say, it looked like they cater to their "regular" patrons though.
Food excellent, view excellent, friendly and welcoming
Mariners, as usual, was a beautiful experience! The place was pretty much as expected with a few how's to covid. Service was great and rh food was wonderful. Looking out the window was as satisfying as ever. If you're looking for a Wisconsin supper club on the water around Madison, this is the place!
Mariner’s Inn has quickly become our favorite restaurant in Madison. Food, service and value are unsurpassed in Madison...without debate!
Thank you Mariner’s Inn!!!
Amazing food and drinks! Our favorite place in Madison for steaks!
It was as good as ever!
We love having a special evening at the Mariners. We usually get the Tuesday ShrimpLivers and with leftovers we manage another complete meal. Yummy. Romantic. And fun. John
It’s are favorite Old Fashioned Super Club.Doug is a wonderful manager along with Jack and Robb as Waiter does a great job.
As usual, the food was exceptional. Our server, Michelle, was awesome. I took my nieces there for their birthday, and everyone had a great time.
Celebrated our wedding anniversary at Mariner’s Inn. Food was fabulous!! Tenderloin medallions, hash browns, clam chowder/salad and fresh baked rolls!! Our server was new, but she tried hard. Sandhills cranes were putting on quite a show within 40 feet of the window where we were seated. Would have been nice for the hostess to acknowledge the occasion, but that’s setting a really high standard.
Awesome food, great service would go back anytime for special occasions or just for a night out
It was great to go back to Mariners! Haven’t been there since pandemic started. We had a wonderful meal, very friendly and attentive server, and felt very safe!
Bartender did not know how to make a Southern Comfort Manhattan-Up. It was not shaken with ice. It was just poured into something like a juice glass.....warm. Also, one was to come with olives, the other with no garnish. Both came with cherries. After they were returned to be shaken with ice, they came back with martini glasses......like they should. My glass was chipped, and believe it or not, there were no more martini glasses available. It would have been nice if you served rolls and butter, anytime during our visit.
We've never been here before and were looking for a new restaurant to go to. We live in Oak Creek, just south of Milwaukee. It was my birthday. We were disappointed that Mariner's was listed as a steak house, and yet most of the menu was seafood. Fortunately, one tenderloin filet was available.
Additionally, my husband called the day before to order a small birthday cake with candles for me. It never showed up. How disappointing.
I doubt that we will be back.
We have been going to Mariners Inn regularly for over 30 years, since our daughters were young. We went to dinner the other night with our now 37 year old daughter and we all commented on how consistently excellent Mariners food and service are...Just great:)
The bar area very pleasing with a great nautical theme. All the staff unbelievably friendly and the food was fantastic.
We go to Mariners for special events typically. Food and service is always excellent. This trip was for restaurant week and it did not disappoint. Will definitely be back.
We enjoyed our "Restaurant Week" meals. Perfect portions.
We were all very satisfied with everything we ordered
Everything was great, we enjoyed the evening very much!
I have dined there all winter long once a week. Service has been outstanding, drinks and food top drawer. Hard to beat family owned supper clubs.
Love the food, love the staff.
Always feel like valued guest by staff. Love the atmosphere, and the food is top of the line. Even had my favorite beer on tap! Made for a special anniversary dinner. I highly recommend!
Mariner's has been a long time establishment we have enjoyed for 30+ years. We have enjoyed the family and continue to return on occasion.
Food was not that good , small portions, over cooked and not the highest quality. People who came after us were served before us. Waitress was overwhelmed or not well trained. They didn't seem that prepared for the crowd size.
It is hard to find a better restaurant for a quite and enjoyable dinner than the Mariners.
Was a nice evening. Very busy and ended up being a very late dinner, but worth it.
We love going to the Mariner's Inn. The food is always delicious and the staff is outstanding! Would highly recommend this restaurant.
