The Mantel Wine Bar and Bistro
We also offer an extensive wine list, with 36 wines available by the glass and over 100 available by the bottle.
Our staff is well trained in wine knowledge and cuisine, therefore we are happy to answer or suggest selections for our guests.
We offer wonderful desserts, with our Chocolate Gateau, Carnegy Deli New York Cheesecake, and tableside Bananas Foster.
We look forward to seeing you at the Mantel Wine Bar and Bistro.
When you arrive, valet parking is available which is a nice touch; however, if the entrance is small, so if you do not prefer to deal with that there is parking nearby. The staff is very friendly and attentive. The food quality and portion size matches the price, which is upscale. Overall, this restaurant is perfect for business clients, date nights, anniversaries, or for just a random night out. You won't be disappointed.
The Halibut was outstanding. Great service. Manager came by our table twice to make sure everything was good. Nice touch. Nice wine selection. We will definitely be going back.
We've always loved The Mantel. We take out of town friends, go for special occasions, night out and even lunch. I was a little disappointed they took the baked Brie off the menu but the chef made up for it by sending a complimentary apporizer. Food is always good, service is exceptional and I love the small quaintness of the place. Noise level isn't crazy loud like most places nowadays.
A wonderful place for a romantic dinner or at least one where you enjoy delicious food, great service and an environment where you can actually talk to the person you're with and hear what they are saying. Mantel's is amazing and I highly recommend a trip!
Good food great service
We had family visiting from Kansas City. There were 6 of us that went to eat there on a Saturday night. Great food & service!
Love this place. It’s our go to spot for date night. Food is consistently great and the service is too.
Excellent food. Friendly, attentive service
Excellent experience. The food was outstanding. My wife said it was the best lamb she had ever eaten. My duck was excellent, rivaling any I have had in Paris. Amazing bread and dipping sauce. Relaxed atmosphere.
Our first time to eat here and the food and service was wonderful. Even the valet, Paul was delightful. It was very busy when we went on a Saturday evening but we were still able to chat easily with our friends. All together a marvelous evening and we would certainly go here again for a special occasion!
We enjoyed everything! Our waiter was knowledgeable and very friendly. The prices are kind of high, but the food was so good that it was worth it. If lobster was cheap, I would worry. I would recommend The Mantel to anyone who wants a wonderful meal and a beautiful date.
Went there this past Sunday night 1/20/19.
Bread came out not cooked. Pure dough in the middle. Waiter said he would get us a new one, I’m pretty positive they just threw the old one in the oven and gave it back more cooked.
Duck was supposed to be medium rare. It was pretty damn raw when I tried to chew it. My fiancé’s chicken Alfredo had noodles that were definitely not cooked all the way.
I won’t go back. It was a 50-60$ dinner that was a disappointment.
Well let’s start with the ice cold red wine that was decanted in a dirty decanter, no wine taste before the wine wine into the dusty decanter, next was the abomination of the beef tartare the was made in a food processor! Please don’t do that to the beef, dark, mineral, flavor from the meat being beaten and bruised. Lastly the bisque was super salty. That’s as far as I took this dinner that night, the bill was still 300.00 because I had selected a good bottle. Not sure what happened but it definitely missed the mark
We loved the experience, as always. Seating is tight, the food was great.
We waited forever to actually order. We were seated, then asked about drinks. Then 15 minutes later, no drinks and was told the specials. 20 minutes later our drinks arrive. After ordering it took 30 minutes to get to our table. It was not busy, we were never made aware of the progress of the food.
We really enjoyed our dinner. Had a great server and the food as good as any I’ve had in OKC. Diver’s scallops!! Was cozy and easy to converse. NOT the echoing noisy loud music vibe.
Delicious food! The house made pasta was to die for! I am pregnant and couldn’t indulge in wine, but was brought a beautiful and yummy sparkling drink the staff made for me!
Awesome food and service. The Sole was amazing, the wine list spectraular, everything was wonderful. We will return!
It was Christmas Eve and our waiter, Robert, helped make it an awesome evening! The food was excellent; all 5’s!
We were a group of six. Everyone, but me, enjoyed their dish, drink, and the occasion. My dish (small beef filet) was undercooked, the vegetable was poorly done, but the mashed potato was good. I ordered a Manhattan, up, with a good rye. I got a thimble-sized drink in which thexwhiskey overpowered the vermouth—a poor version of a Manhattan, for $16. . .vastly overpriced. Because we have enjoyed The Mantel in the past, we will likely return, but I will have to think twice.
Excellent food and service. Our server was exceptionally versed in the food as well as the wine. We will definitely return!
Over priced and poor quality of steak. They did offer a discount on the meal but the steak was suppose to be a new York strip and it was so tough that I had to saw at the steak to cut it. I had even asked them if it was a new York strip, it was as tough as a family steak. Which I still paid 40 dollars for mine alone with the 20 dollar discount given.
My husband and I absolutely loved our night out. We were able to have a relaxing evening and a fabulous dinner. Our waiter, Justin, was spot on with his recommendations and service. I have spread the word about The Mantle!!!
My salmon was overcooked and extremely salty, the risotto had no taste, even the green beans were awful. My husband's chicken was full of skin and also very salty. He ordered a side dish of mushrooms, the waiter forgot to include them in the order so when he realized it and ordered them we were half way through our dinner. Anyway when they arrived they were as tasteless and horrible as the rest of the dinner. We spent almost $150 for a lousy meal and a terrible experience. We would never recommend this restaurant to anyone and Open Table should be more careful about reviews.
Staff not great. Food...meats are quality but lack flavor.
I will never go here again, horrible food. Cheese plate uninspired and not worth $24. Steak tartare so bad and drenched with Worcester sauce had to return
It took 3 of us two and a half hours to get through dinner. We had to ask multiple times for water, bread, and our food took over an hour to come out. It was cold and over cooked as well. The waitress was MIA most of the evening. Awful and will not return.
Mickey Mantles is always excellent service and food!
Sat promptly, and served right away. Fun visit at always.
The crab cakes were amazing, as was the diver scallops dish and duck dish. All were served quickly and the waiter was attentive and nice. I would make sure to go back if ever in the area again!
Waiter was very slow attending to our needs, very professional and knowledgable, but everything from drinks to dinner took forever. Lobster risotto was outstanding. A steak was overcooked and its replacement was tough. Just a mixed bag that evening.
Mussels exceptional!!!!!! Service was top notch! Thank you!!! We will be back!
My wife's entree was cold...informed the waitress and they re did it and it was warm. I had the "lump crab meat" crab cakes and the largest piece if crab was a "shred"...no lumps at all......coffee took 15 minutes to be served and they did comp the coffee...lava cake with ice cream took 20 minutes...told use they cook them when ordered...no indication that it would take 20 minutes...had a reservation thru Open Table 2 days in advance...place was 1/4 full and we sat next to the bar with heavy traffic...Nope... Not going back
Wonderful food -- my wife ordered french onion soup and it was too salty for her (she is a low-salt person). The chef came out and apologized, then he prepared a fresh batch just for her and it was perfect. My wife's Salmon was fantastic and my filet was cooked perfectly (rare plus). Also, the wine was terrific. We will be going back.
Special occasion and totally ignored. No one asked what we were celebrating. Over priced and mediocre . Bartender on her phone all night. Would not ever recommend.
Wonderful! Everything was outstanding, Casey took great care of us as well as a multitude of servers. We started with the crab cakes and they were awesome, then were treated with some delicious bread and balsamic sauce. My boyfriend and I ordered scallops and the filet, with a side of lobster risotto. All I can say is I left very satisfied. I'm looking forward to returning soon.
Celebrating our anniversary and was perfect for that. Great food in a quiet and unrushed setting. Dessert worth saving room for topped it off.
Menu has changed and selection diminished, prices have also increased considerably, food taste/quality was still good, but dessert could’ve been better.
Very expensive but very much not worth the price. Very disappointing dining experience except for the service.
Went for our anniversary date. Lobster Bisque to start was great! Husband had a lobster manicotti and liked it. I ordered a filet mignon. It was very tender and had a good taste but was over cooked from what I ordered. Dessert was very underwhelming. My bananas fosters was not like anything I've ever had and I've had it at Brennan's in New Orleans! Bananas were still raw and soaked in rum. And there were three massive scoops of ice cream. We had high hopes for the restaurant, but if we're in town again will try something else.
