Such a fine restaurant! Great ambiance, excellent service, food was delicious!
Also cocktails were very good and found my favorite Daou cellars wine a t an awesome price
Had a great dinner
I ordered the pecan crusted salmon and my husband ordered the sea bass. The food was amazing and our server was attentive, patient, friendly and all around outstanding. It is a little pricey but you definitely are getting what you’re paying for. Perfect for a romantic date night!
We thought we had chosen the Metro Wine Bar, so we were aghast at the quality of the food. Bar was small, not much alcohol in the drinks, bad food, and expensive for the bad quality.
Apprenlty this reataurant was closed but did not inform open table.
Food and service was great as always!! Steak is one of the best ever!
My filet was was a TAD over-seared but otherwise food was great!
Great food! Great service!
From the moment we arrived until we left everyone was kind thoughtful attentive and knowledgeable we will return.
We got to the restaurant at 5:20 as a birthday dinner for a friend. We did not leave until 7:05, but not because we were having the time of our lives.
Upon arriving we were one of only 5 tables in the whole place. The service started out ok. We ordered an appetizer and some soups. Appetizer was amazing (chicken bruschette) and the soup was lukewarm and just average. The server and restaurant started getting busy and we started noticing that the tables that were sat down while we were having our soup were getting their MEALS before us. Meanwhile, our server didn’t check on us even 1x where we could ask what was going on. At around 6:35 she finally came back and told us the kitchen lost our ticket and that they just started working on it. I let her know we had tickets to another event that started at 7:30 that we had originally planned to get to by 6:45 in order to not lose our preferred seating. She said she would ask them to “hurry”. It wasn’t until 6:50 that we got our food. 2 filets and the swordfish. The server dropped the meals off and ran away, only to come back with boxes we couldn’t even use since we had uber’d to bricktown in the first place, and we’re going to an event. She never asked how we liked the food… one of us didn’t take more than one bite of her swordfish she didn’t like at all. The rest of us couldn’t even finish our meals due to time restraints from getting our food so late. Literally had to leave half our $40 filets in order to make sure we weren’t late for our event we barely made in time. NOT ONCE did the server or restaurant come over and try to make it right. Never offered a discount, sincere apologies, or comp meals we waited literally an hour for. We left frustrated, still hungry, and very disappointed at our experience.
I love the Mantel and especially their Brie. Hadn't been there in a while and decided to surprise my hubby on our 35th 1st date anniversary. Was sad they got rid of their unsweet flavored tea. It was so good. Our waitress was amazing.
My only complaint is that it was too cold in there. Their front thermostat was set at 60 and the other one was right by the kitchen window and door so of course, it read higher. We went on a Tuesday so not very many people. Only 3 other tables. Maybe it would have been warmer if more people were there. We almost didn't stay because I really don't want to sit in a restaurant with my coat on the entire time. But I sucked it up and stayed and the food was delish.
One of our favorite places in downtown OKC. Great food and great service!
Excellent & cheerful service. All 4 of us had outstanding food choices. Best dip for the bread I have ever had
Food was good and the atmosphere was quite enjoyable. I went in expecting closer to a 4.5-5 star experience, but felt this establishment was more inline to a 4 star cuisine. Please try the filet bruschetta appetizer as a reward for your pallets. Not sure why “wine bar” is in the restaurants name, though. I love wine and was expecting some aspect of the menu to cater to its namesake, but that’s not the case (which is okay; not a knock). I was expecting a wine flight or wine experience to present itself, but it didn’t. No big deal! Food was great and staff were extremely helpful.
We did not have a great experience. We made reservations for three and they did not have our table ready - when we were seated our table cloth was dirty. Our waiter was friendly and helpful, but the wine list was extremely disappointing (the best red blend on hand was Apothic). Th dipping sauce for the bread was absolutely hideous terrible - tasted like expired cold anchovy salad dressing. Our entrees were not only served cold, they were tasteless (the green beans were burned ans the ones that weren't burned were hard). The only saving grace was the filet mignon bruschetta (it was very good).
The food was delicious, and the staff was very friendly.
Wow! This place is truly a gem! The good was amazing and the service and atmosphere was really great! I would highly recommend The Mantel and I am looking forward to coming back!!!
The Mantel is a wonderful restaurant with great food. Service was not as good as needed in such a nice restaurant but it appeared the server was inexperienced. A sign of the times.
One of our favorites in OKC for almost 20 years. Did not disappoint.
The server we had was great! The food was good but wanted to see more and better choices.
Food, service and ambiance excellent!
At the top of my favorite places to dine!
We went for our anniversary and had a great experience. Our server Kade was fantastic and very polite and helpful.
I ordered the scallops and my husband ordered the filet, and both were amazing. We will definitely be back again soon!
I was extremely disappointed by this experience considering I’ve been to The Mantle before and loved it. I’ll never go back.
The portobello appetizer was tasteless and very small.
Of our three entrees, the only item that was an appropriate temperature was the risotto. All the other items were room temp.
The mashed potatoes were terrible, the lamb was over cooked and tough, and the duck had an inadequate amount of sauce.
Our server was absent and our drinks were empty for most of our the meal.
The croutons on the Caesar salad were fabulous, just crunchy enough and didn't overshadow the rest of the salad. 8-oz filet mignon was perfectly cooked and very tender. Overall a great experience!
Wait staff does an amazing job in a very confined space. Lobster Bisque was as good as the reputation says. The steak was very good but the real winner is the Bernaise sauce. Perfect!
It had been a decade since eating at the Mantel since we do not get out to downtown Okc often these days but it was an incredible evening at their restaurant. It was extremely clean and the staff was on point. We were promptly greeted and seated. The atmosphere was excellent for having a place to enjoy a conversation but still have some nice energy around you. The last time I was there, I got to visit with the owner and the same for the last visit! Talk about taking pride in your business and this is one of the only places that I have been this year where the staff was knowledgeable and eager to serve you. The food was coming out promptly and both my wife and I thought the food was Top Notch. The steak was incredible and we noticed that all of the customers around us were also talking about how impressive the food and service was here at the Mantel so that really speaks volume of their ability to accommodate their guests. Great Job People !
Had an amazing anniversary dinner, the food and atmosphere made the evening!
Love the Mantle! Always good food, service and atmosphere!
Nicer place, quite, great service. It’s smaller and more intimate than most places in Bricktown. Good for special date night or small groups looking for a nice night out. Prices are reasonable for the area and food is awesome. Got a ribeye with the house sauce and no complaints. Cocktails were delicious.
Excellent service, Holly was friendly, attentive, prompt, very pleasant. Halibut was excellent, pork chop a little over cooked but good flavor. Overall great experience
This was our first time here. I understand post covid environment however with that said, we were greeted by the manager who was smiling and friendly. Let us seat ourselves outside. Some of the tables had not been cleaned off from the elements or animals. Our waitress was very friendly and helpful. It took a very long time to get our drinks. Appetizer was very good. When our main course came, we both ordered a fish dish, the only thing hot was the fish, Which was wonderful! I brought it our waitress attention and the manager came out with fresh hot sides for me. They offered us freedom dessert which was kind. The one thing I noticed was people who came in around the same time as us or shortly after us and sat inside were leaving before us. Overall for the amount we paid, I was disappointed.
We had been to Mickey Mantles steakhouse and wanted to try something different and Mantels did not disappoint. The meal was delicious and the staff very helpful and friendly.
We eat here often but tonight it was not as good as usual to include service. Everyone is entitled to a bad night. Scallops were under cooked and the halibut was over cooked. Everything else was very good as usual.
Everything about the place was perfect! The food was great and the waiter was awesome as well!
It was a tremendous experience for out 37th anniversary!!!!
The filet mignon was the best I have had in several years. The bananas foster was a perfect ending to the meal and it was prepared at the table, too.
The food is not good, especially for the price. And for a wine bar, the by glass selection was poor and the wine I chose tasted like it had been open too long. I won’t be back.
Great food and very friendly staff.
Big drop in overall experience Wine list was terrible
Table was wobbling and the server looked like trash but food was great…
Fish was undercooked and then I sent it back and it was overcooked. Wine was short poured. Service was similar to casual fast dining. Our bill was not correct. We were overcharged... The waiter charged us for a pork dish that wasn't on the menu and also charged the incorrect credit card for our drink order. Probably won't be back.
It was my nephews 29th birthday. The food was good, unfortunately it was not excellent however, the special dessert prepared for his birthday was very kind and delicious. Our server was good and attentive.
