I was a little surprised that the main courses weren't better. Everything else (starter, wine, dessert) was fantastic so that was a little disappointing.

I really hate to dis The Mansion but I have to say our meals were not to standard and certainly not to theirs. Service and ambiance were outstanding, but our meals were not up to par. I ordered the filet medium and my lovely date the scallops. I'll start with the positives, her dish had great presentation and the scallops were cooked perfectly. The overall flavor was nice but frankly my favorite Asian restaurant has curry scallops that certainly don't compete on presentation but is just as nice at a third the price. Then there was my filet. It started as a very good piece of meat that was overcooked in the kitchen and dry. I ordered it medium and it was well done. It was also very dry, I had to wash it down with their overpriced wine at like $30/glass just to swallow it. The mashed potatoes were creamy and good, but a $58 small filet (and $300 dinner for 2) should be great if not memorable. Best part of my meal was the spinach. I can think of a dozen good steak restaurants that would put that to shame! Now I could have complained and I KNOW they would have made another but we were in a hurry and I was enjoying my date. Not sure we'll be back nor can recommend at this point. Perhaps we will give them another chance someday.

On previous occasions we have been very pleased with fine dining at the Mansion. However, this last visit was disappointing. The largest problem was with the menu. The tasting menu was exactly the same as our previous visit. No innovation and no attempt to incorporate fresh seasonal offerings. The state of the art in today's best tables is a focus on seasonal freshness. It's like the chef only knows a given set menu. Now if the food was truly outstanding, possibly I would overlook such a fault. But sadly, most of the items on the tasting menu were just adequate and the venison was below adequate. The wine pairings were solid but not presented or explained well and we didn't see the sommelier until the last course. When she did come over her interaction was short and terse. No interest in engaging or addressing any questions I may have had. Possibly she was having a tough day or maybe the wedding up stairs had everyone off their game. Regardless, when you invest in a nice dinner occasion you should have your expectations met. We will give the Mansion another visit, but I will certainly scrutinize the menu before I make reservations. If it's the same old same old, I will just take by business somewhere else.

We tried the Gourmand pre set menu with some side ordering . The food was extremely bland and generally over done (fish/sole). Service was excellent and fitting of the restaurant and price point, ($500 per person).

We went for Sunday brunch and found it to be very nice. The food was good but not terrific. My eggs undercooked where you could see the whites in some part were still clear instead of white. The presentation was nice as I always photograph the food at nice restaurants. The brunch menu was a little odd, like doing Eggs Benedict with brisket. I consider myself an adventurous eater but this just missed the spot. I also think the food came out too fast. If you live nearby or want a pretty restaurant it’s a good choice, although a little expensive, but not worth a destination meal. P.S. I think the Sunday breakfast may be better that brunch🤷🏻‍♀️

Food was not good with what I paid for. I had red prawn like shrimp with rice for appetizer and scallops disk for dinner with a glass of white wine. Server was not that good either for this type of high end restaurant. We only saw him twice, he came when food came out and when we paid the bill.

The mansion is always a reliable fine dining destination. Unfortunately, the food is not very inventive these days. The service is polished and friendly, and it’s a lovely location. Overall it’s a good restaurant that won’t disappoint, but it’s no longer the great restaurant it was in the past due to the “ordinary” well prepared food.

Chef Tom is genius!! My friends and I had Chef Tasting menu at the Mansion last Wednesday. It's an Experience!!! We were surprised by not only all the dishes which were prepared just for us but also lovely imported and domestic wine paring!! Ray, our host, took very good care of us. He made sure that our night was the magnificent one!!!

The setting is lovely and the service is wonderful, but the food is just okay and overpriced for what it is. Unfortunately, we even sent a plate back during the meal since it was not cooked properly.

I would recommend for desserts and/or cocktails, but go someplace else for dinner

I have always loved this luxury property and the restaurant. I was visiting Dallas and wanted a special place to enjoy brunch and quality time with my sisters for our annual sister weekend. This was the perfect location. The brunch was fantastic, even if their grill was out of service so no pancakes or waffles during our visit. However, the ladies enjoyed all of the other options which covered all of the regular hot breakfast plates plus salads and entrees featuring fish, chicken, beef, and a pasta. I was even able to enjoy a gluten-free french toast. We enjoyed our time nestled in the covered breezeway in between the restaurant and the outdoor patio at a large round table with exquisite lighting features. Truly a memorable Sunday afternoon in Dallas, you will not be disappointed.

We celebrated our first wedding anniversary here and we will be going back. We both tried the tasting menu with the wine pairing. The food was a heavenly experience and the wine was paired perfectly. It was a romantic, beautiful ambiance that made our night so special. The wait staff was on point - very polite, attentive, helpful, but not overbearing in any way. Hostess let us explore the area before they opened and the different rooms are architecturally striking and beautiful. This was an amazing experience that we recommend to anyone wanting a memorable special occasion.

Sunday brunch. I requested a nice view table since this was our first time here and a present for my husband. They NAILED IT! Lovely little table saved for us with a view of the patio. The menu has great diversity in it's well-chosen offerings - literally something for every mood or diet for brunch. The service was AMAZING and best part was they interact like "people" not merely "servers." The interactions with staff truly added to our meal, as we asked for suggestions, asked about the place, history, etc. Everyone was wonderful! The Texas Margarita was PERFECTLY balanced in flavor, there was nothing I would have changed. Had the signature tortilla soup, yes it's wonderful, but don't be ashamed to wear your napkin as a bib, as that red chile liquid jumps and is unforgiving as a stain! The omelette with goat cheese and spinach was perfectly done. Presentation is impeccable. History sheet was very interesting, we loved learning about the place. We like it so much, we're bringing a dinner party back here in a few weeks!

We were staying at the hotel and our friends recommended we eat dinner here. I am glad we did because the ambiance is nice, although it was a bit noisier than I like. The service was strange in that it was slow then changed to lightening fast. Our meal came out less than ten minutes after ordering which was not a problem, just shocking for gourmet food. My husband got the Red Snapper and it was good., not amazing, but good. I got the tortellini, which was recommended by the server and I did not like it at all. The edges of the pasta were very hard and the filling didn't have a ton of flavor. We were both disappointed in the meal. For the prices, I would expect a better meal. I did not mention it to the server because it wasn't like it was bad; I was just disappointed. I will say this however, we ate breakfast at the Mansion everyday for 3 days straight and it was fabulous! One of the best breakfasts I have had at any hotel hands down. So I would highly recommend it for breakfast. The Veranda in the morning is beautiful also. The people at the Mansion overall were outstanding, professional and helpful.

If you know about the Mansion at Turtle Creek, you know what to expect when going to the Mansion Restaurant. It's upscale and Uptown, and the cost reflects that. The $54 brunch tasting is definitely the way to go if you're hungry. The food quality was a little bit all over the place and seemed to be a little more adventurous than thought-out. If you're staying at Rosewood, the convenience makes the Mansion Restaurant intriguing, but I can't really imagine going out of my way to make a special trip.

The service is excellence, the food proposal outstanding and if you are lucky you have the opportunity to greet the chef. Do not skip this restaurant if you are looking for food instead of fun.

We enjoyed the food and service very much. The staff made my mom's 60th especially memorable with their friendly smiles and attention to the detail. Having said that, I was not thrilled about the ever changing bill. We started off with a bill total of $127. Upon the return of my card, the receipt said the card was swiped for $147. Finally, when the amount cleared my bank account, the revised total was $175. It's a good thing I held on to the receipt. I will call to confront the restaurant with the multiple bill changes and of course, the final deduct from my card. Shady.

Not what it used to be. Food was only so-so; service was non-existent; other diners were literally reading the paper at brunch. Very quiet and old and tired. All of us used to frequent the Mansion in its heyday with Dean Fearing and had lost touch with it except for business functions in recent years. So sad to see that it has just become another restaurant for hotel guests that has nothing to offer other than propinquity.
