The steak was a little tough. The chocolate martini was outstanding. The service was exceptional.
We've been many times -- it's a favorite spot. Lovely historic setting, delicious food, excellent service.
As usual, dinner at The Manor Tavern was enjoyable. Entrees we ordered were very good. I was a bit confused by the corn and shrimp "bruschetta" appetizer because there was neither bread nor tomatoes with it - it was good but not what I was expecting. Server was decent but as we were leaving we heard her telling the nightly specials to another table, which we we did not hear. We appreciated the chef personally coming around to the table.
Everything was awesome! Thank you!
Dinner was amazing. Waitstaff attentive. Holly was terrific! Food very fresh. We will be back. Fun to look at the herb and greens gardens....
food and drinks were good waitress forgot my salad
Great ambiance, excellent service and great dining inside or outside. A very nice wine selection as well as local draft beers.
Food was very good. Sat outside on patio and it happened to be extremely loud that night. The next time I think I'll try inside seating. Waitress very nice. Overall I was very satisfied with everything.
Food is delicious consistently. Friendly staff and service is excellent.
I highly recommend this restaurant.
Very nice meal. Server Andrew was friendly and engaging. New menu choices. Very pleased, we will return.
The lovely horse country ambience and decor makes any visit to The Manor Tavern a wonderful experience. The menu is interesting and includes a variety of items prepared with local produce, beef and dessert-ice cream truly enhance a gem of a dining experience. This was our 3rd time here in the last 2 weeks. Highly recommend!
Great food and service - consistently! Jamie is such a friendly and attentive server! No hesitation to recommend Manor Tavern!
The food could have been better. The waitress was very helpful but one of the dishes was not as good as it could have been.
The Manor Tavern has improved so much since George Batlas took over the kitchen. Love them growing stuff right on the property. The Saddle Room and the outdoor space is very nice. Unfortunately, on our most recent visit, no table in the Saddle Room was available and with a chilly rain, outside deck was not an option. So we were seated in the "Sunroom". Not really a sunroom since the side of the room with windows looks out on the permanent tented area. Room is old and drab looking. Noise was loud. Could hear every word of the tables near us. Food was very good, but definitely not a bargain. The place was very busy and it showed in lack of attention by our server (ordered a second drink which did not arrive for 25 minutes, and only after our waitress passed our table and realized an empty drink glass was still sitting there. She made an about face and went to get the drink. Just about finished our food before it came. Drink it while signing the check). The sunroom and the other dining room next to it need a major make over. Will not be dining there if these rooms are the only option.
Mother ‘s Day
Nice dinner to celebrate son’s engagement
Wonderful place! Food was delicious. Great atmosphere. Seemed to take a long time for sandwiches. Overall great. Will definitely go back
Service was great, food was average, value was less than that. Went for lunch. Possibly food at dinner would be better, but then you would have to deal with the drive.
The Manor Tavern is one of our all time favorites. GREAT STAFF and GREAT FOOD. We haven't ordered anything we didn't like. The bar is lively and upbeat. The whole place takes me back to when my dad trained thoroughbreds on many major tracks up and down the east coast.
Keep up the good work!!! Outstanding!!!!!

We met friends we haven't seen in a while.
We recommended MT so we were looking forward to our friends having a great experience.
The food was delicious and generous as usual; however, our waiter, who was very pleasant forget many things requested by our table like another glass of wine, extra lemons etc.
I could tell my friends were annoyed after we talked it up to encounter such forgetful service.
No shame in writing it down.
Other than an absent-minded server, it was very good food.
Excellent menu and specials. Amanda, our server was amazing and very enthusiastic about all specials. She is a very professional and efficient server!
Our server Jamie made the meal. She remembers your drinks and what you like. She makes recommendations and makes you feel so welcome.
Date night. Got the steak, and an appetizer. It was pricey, which is what I expected. But the steak was not a $40 steak, it was maybe a $12 steak. It was super dry, had no flavor. The waitress was great, the restaurant is beautiful. I will go again, just won’t get the steak.
Good steak. Good service.
Our waiter Alec did such a great job, he was there when we needed him but didn’t hover. He picked up on the fact we were celebrating my Sisters Birthday and brought her a special cupcake with a candle but didn’t embarrass her by singing. The food was delicious, this was our first time at The Manor Tavern and a lady lighting the fire place answered our questions about the beautiful building even gave us a write up on the history, so thoughtful
An incredible everyday or special occasion dining experience. Or server, Jaimie, was the best.
Birthday celebration food was unbelievable hat off to George his food is fresh unique and health conscious. Jamie offers service fit for Royalty and Mark was personable and constantly attentive. Even with the popularity of this place the service is still so personal. Thanks for another perfect outing!
The Bloody Mary bar was great—made my own and thoroughly enjoyed it. The food I ordered (shrimp and goat cheese frittata) was mediocre at best. The dish was recommended by the waiter; but even though it was my choice, I was dissatisfied. It was served warm (not hot); it had very little flavor; the egg portion was dry—probably overlooked. The teaspoon-sized glob of goat cheese on top was a joke. My frittata had 3 shrimp. In a dish called “shrimp and goat cheese frittata” one would expect more than 3 shrimp and for goat cheese to be used as more than a garnish. Additionally, the dish was served with greens on top—I think I had a total of 9 pieces of lettuce on my plate. I think the meal was too expensive for what I received. The service at our table was poor—our waiter was not very attentive; we couldn’t even get his attention as he ran past. The restaurant was not very busy, so we can’t blame his lack of attention on a large crowd of diners. We have been to Manor Tavern several times previously with a better experience. Perhaps this was just not a good day.
This is our favorite restaurant. Always friendly service and consistently fresh delicious food. Our waiter/bartender Andy made us feel like family as he always does. And we get to enjoy a beautiful scenic drive thru horse county on our way there from Baltimore.
This was our first visit in several years and the new Owners have made many updates. The restaurant has a very comfortable, welcoming feel. We were seated quickly and the waitress introduced herself and took our drink orders promptly. When the drinks were served, she answered any questions we had about the menu and told us the specials for the evening. The food arrived an appropriate amount of time after the appetizer, so the waitress definitely watched the table. Everyone was happy with the food. The visit was very pleasurable and we'll definitely go back. The pricing is on the expensive side for both the meals and the drinks, but nothing we weren't expecting.
This is the 4th Special Occasion dinner I have shared here with my beloved, 2 dates and 2 anniversaries. Each event was memorable and delightful. So now when I ask the response to special nights out is always "We go to The Tavern". Food is excellent, service is attentive but not hovering, cost is reasonable, not a cheap date, but the quality makes you dollar a good value.
went there unknowingly they were only serving buffet. VERY DISAPPOINTED.Food was cold and bland. Took my son out for special dinner and was so disappointed. Won't return or recommemd.
Easter buffet was superb and service was attentive. Would highly recommend for any holiday gathering.
Our visit to the Manor Tavern overall was good. The cream of crab soup was excellent. The grilled Caesar salad was great and the special beet salad was excellent. The pork chop and scallop orzo dish was very tasty. The filet was overcooked, and as a result was chewy and tough. The chambord cheesecake was not well prepared, and was a disappointment. One member of our party ordered the creme brulee, which was not brought, and the server indicated that she didn't hear him order it. We'll definitely return but the visit was not up to the standards that we've come to expect from Manor Tavern.
Busy, but table was ready when we arrived.service was very good. Seafood gumbo is excellent.always a nice experience.
I found the meals to be good but not really anything special especially for the price charged. Most meals are offered with the same mashed potatoes and vegetable. Nothing creative here. Compared to others I find it ordinary and expensive. Menu needs to improve.
Enjoyed a very nice brunch in front of the fireplace, which included Eggs Benedict, Blueberry Pancakes w/ scrambled eggs and bacon. All were perfectly prepared and delicious.
Loved the French Press coffee as well. Our server was wonderful...friendly, efficient and helpful in making our choices. It's always a treat to travel to the Manor Tavern in beautiful Baltimore County horse country. We'll be back.
Manor is the BEST!!!! Love the atmosphere. People friendly and excellent staff.
Your bread crumb fried shrimp platter with French fries and cole slaw is the best I have ever had. Will order that many more times in the future.
I’ll cut to the chase. Service was friendly but distracted, hurried, and sparse. The ambiance, with dated and stodgy surroundings- still offered a family friendly environment and a gregarious bar scene on a Friday. Sophisticated diners will find the menu borish and underwhelmingly executed. Example: $36 for bacon wrapped filet that though ordered MR came WD and flavorless on dry mashed potatoes. Shrimp entree was simply fried, unflavored butterfly shrimp. $16 lobster croquettes... 4 tiny fried balls of risotto with almost no lobster. With northern Baltimore county’s non-existent food scene and a rural location, the tavern doesn’t have to contend with competition. I like there no nonesense nod towards anachronistic menus but they should consider some innovation and expertise when it comes to delivering expensive food.
...in my opinion.
