I was disappointed as this has always been a favorite spot. Server did not offer specials. Salad was brought out way too quickly. I was not even halfway through my salad. My plate was delicious- Scallops and Crab on orzo. My date had the short ribs- very dry and lacked seasoning.
Desert was fair.

The food was excellent and the service was outstanding. Shannon did a nice job of knowing just when to check in with us, not doing so too much. The atmosphere on a February Friday night was perfect for my girlfriend and myself. We are looking forward to going back soon!!

Manor Inn is one of our all time favorites Food is delicious. Not only well managed
with great staff, it also attracts great customers who readily say hi while you are
waiting to be seated. My husband got the Verdant Valley Country Pork Chop and
I ordered the Pasta Prosecco, delicious!!!

This established Baltimore County hunt country standby deserves a second look, chiefly because the food is better than you might expect. In addition to seasonal cocktails, there's a decent wine list and even an offer of a "flight" of three 2-oz. portions of wine. The dinner menu is substantial with a variety of soup, salad and appetizer choices in addition to entrees, most in the $20-$40 range. We were seated in the "Saddle Room" and aside from an errant stinkbug (this is out in the country), it was a pleasant, relaxing and, on a Monday night in February, quiet experience. I think the best part is the sense of being away from it all and, in a rarity in restaurants these days, a non-raucous atmosphere that allows for conversation. Is it the Milton Inn? No, the menu is not quite that ambitious but it is competent, varied and less expensive. That counts for something, too.

I was a little disappointed when we were seated because we were put in a back room that housed 2 other large groups, and it was quite loud. We were going for a date night, but also to benefit from the Restaurant Week special. We just moved to the area and have heard good things about Manor Tavern. While our server was great, and the main course was delicious, if I went back I'd request to be seated in another room where we could talk more easily and enjoy conversation.

We visited the Manor Tavern to celebrate the retirement of a good friend. We had reservations, were seated promptly, had a very attentive waitress and our food was excellent.

Beer Can Chicken sandwich had lots of bread and little chicken. Side of cole slaw was pathetic. Server did not pay attention to us. Worst meal ever at MT. When I contacted the Manager, he was defensive and said that he had served 68 of the same sandwiches that day with no complaints. This restaurant has become snobby and over- impressed with itself. Totally disappointed.

Had a late lunch during Baltimore Restaurant Week. Had a 3:30 reservation so restaurant was not busy at that time if day. Was offered a table near the cozy fireplace which was perfect for a cold dreary day. Our server was excellent. Was knowledgeable about everything on the menu in detail, Food was wonderful, everything tasty, generous portions. I had the chili stuffed potato skins - 3 large full of rich meaty black bean chili, smothered with cheeses. bacon, and topped with sour cream and scallions- every bite full of flavor, could have made a meal of just them. My friend had the Caesar Salad. Bread basket contained a toasted whole grain raisin bread - wonderful rich flavor. I had the BranzinoLosso = light, tender, flakey. My friend had the Fried Oyster BLT Po Boy - Server immediately pointed out that the accompanying French Fries may be bowner than most customers like and offered to replace before we even tried them. Oysters were hand breaded fried crispy yet juicy, thick flavorful bacon, and ripe fresh tomato slices you would have thought came out of a summer garden, served on a crispy toasted bun. We both had the Lemon Raspberry cake for dessert it was good but not memorable. Manager visited and shared the history of the Tavern, once the stable of the Estate where George Washington's horse was kept on trips from Philadelphia. A truly great dining experience.

Took advantage of secret discount in sealed envelope that I received in December. Plus it happened to be restaurant week. Server (maybe Kelli or Kelly?) was awesome. And food was delicious. We were in the older section, so it wasn’t quite as nice as the newer system.

I rate the food that night 2.5 - 3 stars because of the food temperature. I had the TOMATO BASIL SOUP for a appetizer and it was room temperature and my main course PRESTO PESTO GRILLED CHICKEN was likewise. My date had a cranberry cocktail before dinner and expressed that it was very satisfying. For an appetizer she had the MANOR HOUSE SALAD and for a main course she had the ELK BOLOGNESE, both were OK.

I'm not convinced the food warrants the prices, I believe your paying for the atmosphere and the history of the place. I would go again but, not often and would recommend it to others for the experience.

The Manor Tavern is always one of our "go to" spots. We enjoy our meals everytime we visit. The wait staff is always pleasant and knowledgeable. The food is both creative in it's combination of flavors, and delicious. We would recommend The Manor Tavern to everyone.

I hadn’t been to The Manor Tavern in about a decade, & was aware that it had new owners. My previous experience there had been a stuffy formal dining room, & a more active casual dining area with a bar. I remembered the jockey silks on the walls, & that the food was good but pricy. My recent visit on Friday, was a good one! I made a reservation for two for seating in the casual dining or bar area. We were seated promptly in a booth in the hopping bar! (It was happy hour when we arrived & the bar was very busy!) Our waiter, who was also a bartender, promptly introduced himself & brought us our requested drinks. We were never rushed, & enjoyed chatting with one another & watching the people around us, who also appeared to be enjoying themselves. We ordered dinner from the Restaurant Week menu, & our food came quickly, attractively arranged, & hot! My steak was perfectly cooked, the asparagus was tender-crisp & fresh, & the fingerling potatoes a perfect compliment. My guest had the salmon, rice, & asparagus, & stated that it was excellent! For our desserts we had the mango cheesecake & coconut ice cream. Both were wonderful! Additionally, the portions are a sensible size, not skimpy or massive. The only disappointments were the level of service dropped once our meals were served. We wanted coffee afterwards, but had difficulty getting anyone’s attention. Also, the bar remained noisy, well after happy hour. We found ourselves shouting across the table even at 10:30 PM. I had expected the bar to be busy, but the noise to diminish over time. But, it is a bar & it was a Friday night! Overall impression: Not inexpensive but well worth the visit! Mostly a middle-aged crowd having fun. We will be back again & look forward to trying the dining area.

Came for the Monday night bluegrass which is never a disappointment. Food was good, as usual. Had the Roseda burger and the bison burger. It was really packed with people and service was very slow and bill was wrong when it came to the table. Perhaps MT was understaffed for the crowd.

most of the time, this restaurant is really good. Tonight was an off night for them. It was restaurant week and the offerings were not very good. The fish came out with the skin on it. It was slimy and not pleasing to the eye. My husband's ribs were good. The options for dessert were all terrible. I had a DRY brownie cake, the lady next to me had a DRY lemon raspberry cake and her daughter had the mango cheesecake. All very very bad. If restaurant week's purpose is to bring people in, then this was not a good choice of what to put on the menu. Would suggest a pastry chef, as regulars we never get dessert. Its always bad.

My husband and i ordered the same steak. Mine was tender and his was a bit tough. After informing the staff, they cooked him another and additionally took it off our bill. It was my daughter's B-Day and they served champagne to the 4 of us! Very nice touch! Our food was very good.....

The Manor Inn is awesome. My husband Steve and I just love it there. Whether you eat in the main dining area, Saddle Room or the bar it's such a warm atmosphere with friendly staff and as well as other patrons. The food never disappoints. Outstanding in every way.
As we waited to be seated Chef George Batlas who was standing near the front desk went out of
his way to walk up and say hi.

Loved the fireplace setting. The chicken pot pie was delicious! I wish they would have it on the menu as a regular item. Waitress was very attentive to us and friendly. The hostess even stopped by our table to see how our meal was, that was nice too. Will definitely return again and refer family and friends.

Fourth time here. Excellent gluten - free menu. Daily specials for dinner varied and good. Varied menu. Excellent service. Farm to table items and everything fresh. Defiitely worth the visit. Good outdoor seating in nice weather.

Enjoyed seeing some new items on the menu. We felt lucky to sit by the fire, but it apparently ran out of propane (wood burning fireplace no longer there) right after we were seated. Our server Amanda was spot on!
