I love this place. We head here when we want something special. The wait staff is friendly and knowledgeable. Food is great to wonderful. Great wine list to pick from.

Went here for my birthday. New to the island and had only been next door to the Beach House, but wanted something a little more special. It was a chilly night and we were seated by the fire. It was so cozy and lovely. Truly wonderful atmosphere- beautiful place, but still fairly casual, which I liked. We brought a special bottle of wine, ordered stuffed dates and salad and duck. Everything was so delicious! They brought me a dessert too. A really lovely experience.

The food was not up to everything else. The poke was weirdly spiced. The roasted cauliflower was almost burnt. The scallops were ok but the sauce didn't match, was more like a gravy. The only thing that saved the day was the special wine we ordered.

We had dinner on Saturday night and it was really disappointing. The service was un-organized and the food was overcooked. It was like no one even looked at the food before it came out of the kitchen. $30 for 3 burned scallops and mushy cauliflower? The server was really unprofessional in dealing with the matter. I was ready to spend $300-$400 for a nice evening since it was my 50th birthday and instead left early and at leftovers at home.

Our waitress (who looked like she was also bartending was fantastic. Very friendly and personable. Her co-worker (a gray haired gentleman with an accent) was very rude. We arrived earlier than our reservation time thinking we could get a drink at the bar. Our table happened to be ready, so we sat down at the table instead of the bar. We were confused as to who our wait person was, so we asked the waiter walking by (and who also was the waiter for every table in the room) that we would like to order. He looked at us, but did not say a word. A few minutes later our waitress came to the table. He was very rude and unprofessional.

This venerable rstaurant is located in a historic property on Bainbridge Island and provides an atomsphere of charm and quality. It has outside dining available in good weather and very attractive interior decor as well. The food and bar are usually up to the standards that have been established since its' remodeling and opening a few years ago. Our party of four last visited there for the "3 for $30" promotion in October and we were very pleased with the prsentation and affordability of that particular evening. The selections available were well thought out and gave everyone an opportunity to try some of the typical cuisine available.

Our family has the best time here. We have brought our daughter here every few months since she was born. Everyone is extraordinarily welcoming and accommodating. Our meals are always impeccable and the drinks are amazing. We appreciate The Manor House so much for being our special place to spend an evening together as a family.

We had family in from out-of-town and wanted to enjoy a nice dinner with them. The food was delicious and the service warm and gracious. The ambience in the library was perfect for Fall, with a fire in the fireplace. Lovely.

Food was good but overall has declined in quality over the past year. The noise level was awful due to a table of foul mouthed, loud, brashy customers (2 couples). The service was however very good, attempted to provide the best service under the above mentioned conditions.

The carrot/cumin sauce for their scallop dish was not very good and my wife only ate about half. To their credit they did offer to replace it with another dish but we were fairly far along in the dinner before it came to light.

We eat at the Manor House frequently and the service is impeccable and the ambiance amazing. My husband has said that if we were in another country and found this place we would rave about the "gem" we had found.

The food was very good but the website advertising promotions were misleading. We were told that the site had not been updated and that the happy hour champagne and oysters were no longer in effect. Moreover, we had to request that the happy hour meal discount be applied rather than have it automatically be done.

Overall, pricey and not as customer oriented as a fine dining establishment should be!

We had a reservation and had requested an outside table "if possible." We arrived about 20 minutes early and were told there was no outside table, and probably would not be even at our expected arrival time. Fair enough. They said they could seat us immediately so we took it and they gave us the worst table in the dining room. Other, better tables were empty and never filled while we were there. Maddening.

The food was good (mine better than my husband's) but our starters arrived moments after our cocktails, and the entrees arrived while we were still enjoying our starters. Our table was too small to accommodate all the plates, so bye bye starters. A waiter attempted to remove my husband's dinner plate before he was finished (he had his fork in his hand; it was clear he was not finished). Our waitress dropped by often, but was moving and talking so fast that it felt like our table was the last place she wanted to be. It was like being on an assembly line and we were out the door in under 90 minutes.

Complete disappointment.

The Manor House is a lovely location and setting with a wonderful view and the staff is lovely. That said whenever I go expecting a 5 star kind of evening, I usually feel like the food is not quite up to the standard I expect for this kind of restaurant. Not that it is bad, but the preparations are dated. I'd say go and make your own judgments.

Service was VERY slow.
Food was Good.
Our waitress doubled as bartender which made her unavailable.
Dessert menu dropped off by busser. After 20 mins with no one stopping by table we went to hostess to ask for check.
Will not return.
