The Manor - Fine Buffet Dining Ratings and Reviews
Went for a last minute sunday brunch with my daughter. Been to events here many times. Brunch is in a beautiful room, food is unbelievable in terms of variety, high quality and quantity. Buffet is nicely arranged and easy to navigate
Had to search for waiter a few times for coffee refills but otherwise service was very good
It is on the high end of price range without a doubt. I didn't care for the suggested tips on the bill and the waiter circling 20% especially for a serve yourself buffet. That just comes across as unprofessional. I mean this isn't TGIFs
The seafood / lobster buffet at the Manor is a Long-time tradition. The room is ornate and classy as are the personnel that serves and attends to the customers.
The bill is a hefty price tag at $67.50/per person without tax, tip or beverages. So is it worth the price?
The short answer is "no" as the lobsters are the star of the show and they give you mutant lobsters with only 1 short claw. Therefore, the only meat is actually the tail!
So, they give you a big lobster with only tail meat and 1 tiny claw. This is very disappointing...
Yes, there are plentiful shrimp (small) and cold poached salmon and whitefish as well as a pasta station. There are also ribs and turkey and prime rib carving, but this is a seafood/lobster buffet!! Give the customer a proper lobster and let them each claws. Then I would feel better about spending over $200 per couple.
The ambience and personnel don't need any tweaking - just the star of the buffet.
Elegant and timeless, the Manor has been consistently a gem! The food is delicious and the presentation is fantastic. The wait staff is attentive and pleasant. The selection of foods is large and there a dishes for all appetites. The flow of the buffet is comfortable and it's easy to move about the room. I especially like that the desserts are small enabling the guests to savor multiple sweet treats!
The dated dining room is ready for an upgrade and so is the service. While many of the items on the buffet where a better than an average buffets, there were no real standouts. You are better off taking a trip to Atlantic City. I think the most surprising part of the experience was the lack of gloves on the food handlers, most especially the young man at the carving station who was occupied by his phone between guests.
Dining at the manor was a lovely experience. The lobster was amazing, split and prepared so eating them was beyond easy. Staff was perfect. This is the nicest dining buffet I have ever experienced. Buffets usually have so so to good food. Everything at the manor was delicious. I will be dining very often.
The concept of all you can eat dining is long past its' prime. The variety and type of food at the Sunday brunch buffet is straight from the 1970s. The décor hasn't changed either. There have been no changes to the items offered from year to year. There are no healthy food options available. If you get excited by quantity and want to fill your plate to overflowing with bacon, creamy confections and loads of sugar then this is the place for you.
We had the 12:30 seating and the buffet was picked over and the chafing dishes were not freshened up and the craving station was the end of the meats! Overall the white fish was the skin and bones -- not much fish.
Service was good and ambience needed freshing up!
I would say the entrance -- drive-up appeal was fine -- but main dining room needed updating with fabrics and rug.
Still very good. The “all you can eat” lobster buffet is great. They do it every Wednesday and Saturday. The lobster is a bit over cooked and they only give you one tail at a time, so you have to keep getting up to get more. Same with the prime rib. It’s delicious, but they just cut a sliver and you have to come back to get more.
But all in all a very good selection of food and efficient service. Price isn’t cheap, but you get what you pay for. It’s well worth a visit.
The dinner was very pricey $70 per person but the food was delicious... I would recommend the sodas not be charged per refill ... like anywhere else it should be free refills... currently a soda is five bucks per refill... not cool at all
Service was bad. Waiter focused on a large overly noisey and drunk table. Reservation lady on phone arranged for a birthday candle on cake yet it never came. Had to hunt down the waiter and ask for it. Too late being dessert was already done. Not impressed.
The Manor is pure outstanding excellence. The host Kevin is cordial and helpful, wonderful host. Eddie was our Maitre'D , he was highly efficient, friendly and on top of things. Oscar our waiter was very attentive and friendly. The food was exquisite as always. Chris and Ariel at the lobster station were cordial and greeted us warmly.
I must admit, I was disappointed. Service was very good but the room dated and felt old not just classic. Although I ate plenty, the chaffing dishes with lunch entrees were just not fresh and kind of boring. The carving station only had dried up well done prime rib but the ham was tasty as were the raw seafood selection.i should also mention that the place was not crowded at all and the grounds beautiful.
the food was warm and not hot and the lobster buffet was lacking. My wife loves lobster and we have gone to the Manor for special occasions and have had our anniversary dinners there every year. we just celebrated our 30th anniversary and we were disappointed. the server would not include the claws with the lobster and they were held back from the guests. I usually get the Irish Coffee but I left due to my disappointment.
The Wednesday buffet at The Manor is always a wonderful experience. The decor is great - the room is dignified and the chairs, super comfortable. And the food? Wonderful, and great choices for everyone! I always leave feeling like I just had a wonderful experience.
The place is sophisticated with such elegance. The variety of food at the buffet was superb. The occasion was for a Birthday gathering for 4 people. I would go back again.
We visited the Dome afterwards for a little dancing. The Dj sucks his transitioning of music selections did not flow enough to keep the crowd dancing on the dance floor. Over all the Atmosphere at the Dome was grand.
