Our appetizer and salad were wonderful! Truly excellent!.
Unfortunately our service and entree's were not. This is supposed to be a high end restaurant so I have high expectations for the whole experience. We had to wait almost 15 minutes for a waiter to come to our table, and the restaurant was only about 1/2 full. Although it got better the service throughout left something to be desired. I was mostly disappointed with the entree's though. My wife ordered the chicken dish, and I ordered the prime NY Strip.
The Chicken dish was cooked pretty well, but it just seemed to be a $12 chicken dish for $25. The way it was described on the menu was amazing. However when we received the plate it was just a breaded baked chicken breast over a succotash. Great for a weeknight meal at home, but not for a high end restaurant dish.
The NY strip was also not what I would have expected. The steak was prepared well, but the quality of the actual cut of meat was pretty weak. You can tell that the chef doesn't review his cuts when he buys them. This would have been a great steak if I were at Outback and cost about $27, but at $50 the steak should have been better quality. I have had USDA choice steaks which had much better marbling.
I guess overall the experience wasn't bad, but there are several restaurants in the area around this price range that are MUCH better.
One of the most enjoyable restaurants located in Cocoa Beach. Great ambiance, great food, great service. Very special.
This restaurant advertises as European cuisine. On the outside restaurant sign it indicates Northern Italian. There are some Italian items offered, but very little pasta and no veal entrees at all. The atmosphere was a bit noisy, as there was a large private party in there separate dining room, but the closed doors did not keep the loud chatter within the room. Your meal begins with a small amuse offering from the chef. Some of the appetizers are in half portions which is nice for the not-so-big eaters. The brie wrapped in Italian ham with frisee and pecans was excellent. The rack of lamb consisted of 5 chops, served in a small bowl atop of some eggplant, and surrounded by baked potato pieces. The bowl was much to small for this dish. My wife had a small filet, which came out on a larger plate which was to big for the entree. The wine list is not notable for this kind of restaurant.
The food and service were wonderful as usual. I love the caprese salad, the mozzarella is so fresh.
We had high hopes based on reviews but the overall experience was mediocre at best. Very expensive for the food quality, which was poor. Service was OK but should have been spectacular given that we were the only people in the restaurant. A little visit from the manager would have gone a long way.
Been coming here for years and with the recent ownership change, it just keeps improving. Excellent Italian specialties (best Carpaccio in town), wonderful service, notable wine list and friendly, knowledgeable staff/service. Love the quaint little garden room at the back of the establishment, very cozy and quiet
We spent our 29th anniversary dinner at the Mango Tree. Everything was very romantic and food was great. Once again the Mango Tree did not disappoint.
Have been to Mango Tree quite often when staying around Cocoa FL. Have never been disappointed in food, friendliness, and overall attitude of this small but outstanding restaurant. Definitely a "don't miss this place" when yohur in the mood for something better than the average.
The menu was diverse and innovative. I highly recommend the beet salad. Both dinners were delicious. ( snapper special and spinach ravioli) The servers were attentive but not intrusive. The garden room was charming. Be sure to have their special gelato for dessert. It was light, flavorful and creamy and a nice ending to a lovely meal.
The food was very good the beet salad was outstanding. Entrée was very good, the only problem I had was when there is a special and the price point is higher than any item on the menu it should be quoted. I still would of ordered it but i'm not sure that it was worth the $50.00 price.
We were celebrating a friends birthday and had a wonderful time! Paige, our server, was amazing, she had great recommendations!! We were a little disappointed you were out of all of the specials (we had been looking forward to trying the summer truffles), but there are plenty of delicious items on the menu!! The spinach ravioli was out of this world!!
The food was absolutely delicious! From the wine, to the appetizers, to the main entrees, to dessert, everything dazzled!! Loved the live music, it was beautiful. We had a great night out celebrating our Anniversary. Thank you, Mango Tree, for helping make it memorable!
My dining partner is a very particular "foodie". The Mango Tree is the first restaurant to completely fulfill his desires for high quality healthy food. The lamb was the best either of us have ever tasted. My fish was not as flavorful as I would have liked compared to his lamb. The soups were outstanding, salads acceptable (small for price), dessert menu mouth watering as well. The staff was gracious and professional. The Mango Tree is a quiet gem for anyone looking for a high-standard meal.
From the moment you enter, you know it's going to be a top 5 dining experience. From the knowledgable and attentive staff to the food, The Mango Tree is a top drawer restaurant. This is a Foodie's delight, a culinary party to your palette. We will go again and again. Watching the excellent kitchen staff prepare meals is a bonus.
This restaurant had great Google reviews and it did not disappoint! The lobster bisque was creamy and delectable the filet was to die for! It was almost fork tender and melted in your mouth! It was the best filet I have ever had! I would say it is a special occasion place simply because of the price but it was well worth it!
Excellent food. Flavors were amazing. Would definitely recommend
Had a great dinner last night with friends at the Mango Tree. What a difference a night makes from the Friday night dinner at Millikens Reef. The ambiance was nice with a guitar player providing background music that was just the right volume to not interfere with conversation. Both ladies had a beet salad with fried goat cheese that look like a piece of art. Everyone was happy with the entrees. You can see the Mango Tree takes time to make the food not only taste great but also look great. The courses were not rushed. We eat out often and I would say the service is among the best there is especially in this area. If there was a negative, it was the dessert menu was a bit limited. If you like well prepared food in a comfortable atmosphere with great service, you should give it a try
Went for the first time to celebrate my dads birthday. This place is amazing. Started with the carpaccio with truffle oil and the calamari Had the lobster ravioli for main dish. Everything done to perfection. Can't wait to return. I was surprised it wasn't busier because this truly was one of the best meals I've had. Oh, and the waitstaff couldn't be friendlier.
We have been to The Mango Tree many times and are never disappointed. The service, the staff, the atmosphere are superb. The food is absolutely mouthwatering. Everything that we have ordered has been perfection.
We highly recommend this restaurant for any occasion. You will not be disappointed.
Terrific place, service and food!! We will definitely be back!!
Booked reservations for my wife's 50th birthday. We both had outstanding dinners (fish and chicken) and service mostly attentive (considering it was a Saturday primetime)
This was our first time dining at the Mango Tree, we found it to be the only 4 star resteraunt in the area, the prix fixe menu was good but very expensive at 95.00 per plate, the parking for the resteraunt is non-existant, had to park about a block away (and it was a very cold night for walking) ..they did not have our table ready, we arrived on time for our 8pm reservation to find they had given our table away and we had to wait on another one, then they ran out of the starter we wanted, HOW does a resteraunt that has a prix fixe menu and knows how many dinners they have booked run out of anything ?? Poor management on thier part, to thier credit they did make us a salad upon request to replace the soup they ran out of..The ambiance of the place is very nice and the Rest of the dinner was very good.. we will visit again, maybey for lunch to see how they handle that.
Fine dining pretender; atmosphere and service was good but food was fair and selection was small. Too expensive for the value received.
Fabulous menu wiht suggested wine parings to boot. Fun eclectic bar drinks and waiter is very knowledgeable about the food and wines as well. Chef takes pride and it shows, a must visit for anyone who wants a memorable enjoyable meal. We took our friends visiting from Washington DC celebrating their anniversary and they were extremely impressed as any they have visited! Bravo Chef and staff!
We had a great meal and the service was excellent. A bit on the pricey side but well worth it for a special occasion.
This has to be the BEST restaurant in Cocoa Beach. Our meal was so good the first night, we went back again, our second night in town. The pasta is all made in house and is fantastic. I can't think of a complaint. Every dish, 2 nights in a row was done perfectly. The chef even shared his secret stash of grappa. We had the same server, both nights. She was excellent and very friendly. I really can't recom this restaurant enough. Nice work!
We loved the interior and the fact that everyone seemed very relaxed even though it was a "fancy" restaurant. The food was a Thanksgiving menu and we thought it was good but nothing spectacular. We look forward to trying the regular menu.
The Thanksgiving turkey dinner at the Mango Tree was beyond bad---several strips of dry, chokey white meat, and two chunks of gristly dark meat atop pureed squash. On the plate was a whole sweet potato and a little plastic container of honey-cinnamon butter. No stuffing, no cranberry sauce, no pumpkin pie or pumpkin cheesecake on the dessert menu. All tasteless and colorless, and much too pricey for the poor quality of the food. Thumbs down!
We were warmly greeted and our waiter MitchN was superb. Very attentive in every manner inclusive of his second waiter who kept the water filled and plates removed when everyone was finished. Unfortunately they were out of the Clams Vongole dish, so I proceeded with the Salmone. It was perfectly cooked and it was a nice piece with a good char on top. Unfortunately it was not great salmon in the first place. Had the roasted beet salad. It appeared that the red beets were from a can or jar. The lobster bisque was unique. Had a strong seasoned taste and couldn't place it. However it overpowered the fresh taste of lobster. Presentations were nice. Good service. Wine was good. Overall a very good meal, but not as good as in the past
Food was outstanding. The garden room was very nicely decorated. The live guitar music was so good I thought it was a tape. Service was excellent. Wine choice excellent. We will go back as long as they continue to maintain this quality
The Mango Tree was a wonderful experience. I had requested a special dessert when I made the reservations and it went off without a hitch. It was my mother's birthday. We were all surprised every employee we encountered wished her a very happy day! She was through the roof with happiness! When the dessert came (they freshly bake a delicious cake) it came with a single candle and no loud, obnoxious singing! It was lovely.
We decided to try the Mango Tree for old times sake even though we knew it changed owners since we were last there. Well, the food was just not up to par. We started with the lobster bisque, SALTY!, Thin and full of herbs...not at all what I think of for lobster bisque. I had the lobster ravioli for dinner...now a half order is 3 for $12 so I chose the full order for $22. So you think you'll get 6 if half is 3 right? Oh no you get 5 ??? for $10 more, sooo not worth it. They were OK but not great. My husbands Salmon was good according to him, but needed a little more flavor. We didn't do drinks or dessert and the bill with tip was $73. Won't go back.
Lovely evening. Food was excellent. Service was spot on. Loved the music. Just the right touch for a romantic night.
My compliments to the Chef. Very diverse menu with plenty of options for all tastes. Great preparation and presentation. The server was very well-versed in the selection and had great knowledge of the preparation.
The food was the best ever. The atmosphere was beautiful even though it was raining.
Enjoyed the food. Excellent! The service could not have been better.
Best Italian food I have had since my trip to Italy!!
Cannot believe living in Brevard Co since early 90's I've missed this place. Major surprise. This place is in a class not existent in Brevard County Florida and comparable to finest, established foodie hotspots in LA, Miami, or NYC. Lobster bisque is best on planet! Cannot say enough. Only request/comment: NEED LATER DINNER HOURS!!(living in this area almost impossible to get a fine dining table after 8P - vs e.g. Miami where a 10:30P seating is commonplace).
As always, outstanding. Cheese selection very impressive. MT continues to exceed expectations with every visit
This was probably the best dining experience I have had. Excellent service, delicious food and great atmosphere. I got the salmon and couldn't be more impressed with it
