The Majestic Restaurant
The food is always incredible. The service is always fantastic as well.
Everything was very good! Food was fairly pricey, but that was to be expected! Great experience, I absolutely would recommend The Majestic! A great experience for anyone looking for a sweet night out with good music and service!
Entire experience was very good. I ordered the waygu ribeye steak medium rare. It was a little too rare for my taste and cold in the middle. It was tougher than I expected for the cut of meat and the price of the steak; my wife's steak was very good. Waiter was amazing, the band was great, ambience was very nice. Will go again, just not order the waygu again.
The food and service was amazing. I've rarely had a meal this good.
The 30day dry aged ribeye was flavorless and tough so we were disappointed. Loved the building and ambiance though.
Food is delicious -- service is wonderful -- setting is great!
We had our first visit a few weeks ago and have been back 2x since then. Highly recommend.
Excellent experience. Cap was phenomenal anticipating needs and was always on time with the courses. Never rushed. 64oz tomahawk ribeye was amazing.
Went for the steak. Called ahead to reserve a spot in the jazz room. Everyone was friendly, from the person who answered the call to the wait staff. Truly felt like a nice pampering, even though it was just dinner out. The jazz group was great and appreciative of our tip. Nice background music but not too loud - we could still enjoy our conversation. We ordered the 32 oz wagyu porterhouse and split it- plenty of food for two & it was SCRUMPTIOUS! Unexpectedly pleasant experience from start to finish.
Overrated and overpriced. The steaks were OK nothing great. Service was fantastic.
Great Old School Steak House! The history of the place is right out of a movie.
My wife and I have visited The Majestic Restaurant on several occasions. And each time we find that the food, the servers and the chefs are outstanding. We prefer to go at brunch time due to the fact that my wife enjoys their breakfasts and I enjoy their steaks. Those steaks are the consistently best prepared of any I have tasted during my near 30 years of road travel during my working days. Having now retired, The Majestic is still the highest ranked restaurant for overall food quality and the service that goes with it!
LOVE The jazz at Majestic. We thought our steaks weren’t as tender as they should have been for the $$. Service was good. Atmosphere is always great!
Great cuts of beef. A little pricey but all in all worth it.
Our server “Cap” was excellent. The food was slightly better than magnificent. Overall, a very nice experience.
As expected, the food and the service were just outstanding. Joe at the bar is a wonderful guy and Brandon, our server, was just a true gentleman. The live jazz band was amazing. My only negative is that it was freezing cold in the restaurant. Many people complained but the management seem to do nothing about it. Highly recommend during warmer times.
Excellent experience as always! We’ll be back! It was a little chilly downstairs but it didn’t stop us from having a great time!
Trio playing downstairs was horrible..Food and service were exceptional! Waiter's suggestions and knowledge of steaks was awesome ...
Had to send a steak back because it was over cooked. Then when the bill came the extra steak, the one we sent back, was included on the bill. Not the usual experience we have had at the Majestic in the past.
We ate here on a recent Saturday night to celebrate a birthday. We like the steaks and my companion, whose birthday we were celebrating, likes the live music in the downstairs club area. We shared a great bottle of wine from a diverse selection, had great steaks perfectly prepared and great sides. The service here is excellent, virtually flawless and everyone was welcoming and courteous. There is live music up close, so when the music starts it's the focus. Parking can be an adventure for a variety of reasons so allow time for that. Also, the downstairs club area can be a little chilly so take a wrap. Even so, i love the speakeasy type of atmosphere.
Great food with super service. Parking was hard though
Tobias is the man!! Keep up the excellent 5 star service
The quality and flavor of of steaks were not up to par with other competitors in town. Sadly, we will not be back. Nothing was good enough to make us want to return for the amount of money spent of what we thought
We got a seat down stairs in the Jazz area. Our food was great but the waiter couldn't recommend a cocktail for me and then we saw him once through out our whole meal. He didn't bother to get to know us. It was almost as if we were an inconvenience .
We ordered steak, which was not a good value. The quality of the cut was disappointing.
Loved the downstairs jazz club/speakeasy. The service was very good and enjoyed the waiter. The food was just okay all around. The wine list is very nice but a bit over priced
The Majestic is one of our favorites in KC. The service and historic atmosphere is incredible and we always enjoy our visits. Tonight the service was great and the band playing were fantastic. This visit was not our best food experience. We are going to chalk it up to just an off night. The brussel sprouts were overcooked and mushy, the steaks were not the usual quality of taste or cooking. We will be back and look forward to the normal excellent experience.
Great steak. Attentive service. Loved the jazzy, historical ambiance.
Fantastic as always. We have been there a half dozen times or so and have always had excellent food and service. We try to get there any time we are in the area,
I made a reservation for 2, they seated us beside a table of 5 chatty loud women. To he waitress took forever to great is and kept saying "I'm so sorry for the wait". She didn't check on our food, which she screwed up, until we were finished.
Great night out
I was a little disappointed in my steak - undercooked. I asked for Med Rare and it was difficult to cut.
We celebrated a birthday. Great music! Everything was excellent.
Live pianist, great food, went for brunch 10/10
Visited as part of Kansas City Restaurant Week. All four of us ordered off the special brunch menu and were delighted with our food. The burger was DELICIOUS!! Fantastic flavor. Great service from our server as well!
Unfortunately, I feel this venue is tired and run down. We visited for restaurant week and suprisingly it was less than half full (8pm on a Saturday night). Most of the food was really good, except for the center cut filet. All 4 of us had steak and found it fatty and not very flavorful. We had two different house wines and found them to be terrible. Maybe they pulled back on the quality during restaurant week....but for $150 per couple...there are way better choices. Atmosphere is ok but everything is old a feels dirty (because it is).
We thoroughly enjoyed our experience at The Majestic! The food was fabulous, the service was excellent, and we loved the historic building. We went downstairs after our dinner and listened to the Jazz band. A perfect evening. Highly recommend.
Love this place. Food and service are always good.
My food was cold and literally the worst dish I’ve ever had .
Front desk host was not helpful at all. Not a good first impression at this restaurant given this was my first time ever dining there. Restaurant has foul smell also. Not impressed.
