m we shared a delicious salad, had the hoppin john and mac burger- both delicious -too many truffle fires on the plate tho. we were here when the corona virus was impacting travel, so may have been quieter, but we had a wonderful meal, great servers and loved the ambiance. really like a quieter meal experience.
This is my second visit, and the food is excellent. They also went out of their way to give us great service. I highly recommended
Came here for my birthday dinner and had a wonderful experience. The bone marrow bread pudding was amazing. We also had the ricotta gnudi, cab deckle, shrimp and grits, and the lemon posset. The whole evening was fabulous and delicious. Definitely recommend.
This was something else. The cocktails were creative and elegant (I'm an amateur mixologist with a high bar to satisfy), the gnudi appetizer was fabulous. So was the triggerfish but the best part came from them offering a surprise dessert for my daughters (7 and 9) because they behaved well. They did not have to, but they did, making a great dinner while in Charleston even better. We will go back next time we come back to Charleston!
Our server, the food, and the drinks were excellent.
Everything was fantastic! Great night.
Excellent great food Suggest several small plates too
The food was wonderful; so fresh and full of good flavor. And the wait staff was amazing. They helped each other out constantly to ensure me and the rest of the customers were taken care of, even if their server was busy.
The restaurant was chic but wine overpriced and food portions small. Also, our waitress was completely inattentive. We had to ask one of her colleagues for several things.
We had a great experience here. The service was spot on and the food was awesome!! The room was a little dark but did distract too much from the overall experience. You will not be disappointed if you chose to go here.
Chef’s dishes were outstanding - best of our trip. Excellent wait staff, and a manager who really cares for her customers. A must stop in Charleston when next we visit.
We sat on the back dining room patio. It was a nice area to catch up with my girlfriends. The waiter was accommodating and the food was wonderful. This was my second time dining here and both experiences were excellent! I will be returning!
Everything was perfect. Our server, Ryan, was on point all night. Best service I’ve experienced in a while. Food was amazing and restaurant was very accommodating of my food sensitivities. Can’t wait to go back!!
The food and service was great. We went there for a special birthday dinner and couldn't have been happier with the experience. Ryan was a fantastic server and took his time walking us thru the menu, and making some great recommendations. We definitely visit again!
Outstanding everything!!! Amazing service and food. They made us feel right at home. Love love love!
Lively spot with great food and service. Only disappointment was the kitchen was out of seabass at 7 pm on a saturday.
We had come here before and loved the Macintosh. However, on this visit the food fell short of expectation
We had reservations for 6pm on a Saturday night. There was no host for a couple minutes to greet/seat us and they were not busy so we were worried at first. Once we got seated, the service was amazing from start to finish! We tried the fried oysters and ricotta gnudi with pork. Both were delicious and good portions. I had a vodka drink with cucumber and it was so delicious. We also got the bone marrow bread pudding, which we will be back for this weekend when our friends come into town. My husband ordered the bone in pork chop; however, there was no bone and no sign of a bone missing. He specifically ordered it because it was bone it. It was still delicious, just disappointed about the missing bone. I got the triggerfish and was mot able to finish it due to the taste. It was just ok but had way too much lemon. I guess I don't like triggerfrish. We had a peanut butter and chocolate dessert that was huge and tastey as well. Although, we were slightly disappointed with our entrees, we had a great overall experience and will be back again, at least for the appetizers and bone marrow bread pudding!
Went for restaurant week and pleasantly surprised that they had vegetarian options available verses having to put together an entree from sides of other dishes. Only possible ways things could be better are that I found it to be a tad noisy and often the seating is so close that it is hard not to hear conversations at adjoining tables. I would rate the food and service as top notch.
One of the best meals I’ve had! JC in the kitchen was incredible and the service was top notch. Definitely one of Charleston’s best.
Everything was great!
We dined during restaurant week in January 2020 and enjoyed their 3 course with another vegetable instead of a dessert option. Duck confit was amazing ( I took the breast portion of the entree back to our hotel and enjoyed it for breakfast)
I would but I would tell them not to expect a meal like FIG , Ordinary, Halls or the Establishment. Our whole group argeed that it was good but not $180 for two good.
From the moment we walked into the restaurant, everyone was friendly and welcoming. Our server was excellent and knowledgeable. The ambience was very comfortable. We were there for New Year's Eve and although they had their regular menu (not a special NYE one) they served champagne to everyone in the restaurant at midnight. A very friendly and nice touch. Great place to start the New Year and new decade.
Small menu offerings. They were out of the only item we had wanted. Substituted and other and served the biscuit burned.
Food was very good, nice level of service. Restaurant is warm and inviting. A little oasis of calm for brunch in the midst of King St. chaos.
Zac is such a great waiter. He was so nice and pleasant to work with. I highly recommend!! Thanks Zac for running down King street to return the reading glasses I left on the table. 😀
Second time dining here and first time happy hour. Customer service is top notch.
A PERFECT PLACE TO CELEBRATE MY MON’S 75 BIRTHDAY!!
Your new waitress from Alabama was fantastic. Great food suggestion! The manager came by to check on us several times. She even had the chief make me a special birthday desert. That chief insisted that she being it to our table.
No denying the food was great, the atmosphere was relaxing and the service was outstanding. But, the personable nature of the staff, especially our waiter, made the entire evening one our most pleasurable dining experiences. The general manager was gracious and she went out of her way to ensure our Macintosh experience was memorable.
Food was wonderful - highly recommend the truffle fries. Drinks were amazing as well.
Amazing as always
Bone marrow!!! Phish!
Great food, atmosphere, and service.
It was a terrific introductory experience - food was excellent, service/bartender was helpful, responsive, & warm. Incredible value for quality of food & drink during happy hour timeframe
Ryan was absolutely delightful! The fish bologna...whoa. Don't miss it. Even the expo came out to see how everything was. Great experience on their heated patio on a Saturday night!
Michelle was amazing! She walked through the offerings with such ease and offered her advice on certain dishes. It was my husband’s 40th and they surprised him with a dessert at the end of dinner. We had so many wonderful dishes. The rabbit, gnudi and Bone Marrow Bread pudding were so delicious.
We enjoyed dinner on Thanksgiving evening with our family and had a wonderful experience! The ambiance, service and food were all fantastic!
We had our family Thanksgiving and it was fabulous! We will definitely come back and enjoy many more meals!!
Farm to table menu. Service and food top notch. I highly recommend this restaurant.
