It was very good. Great service and food. We both had fish. Very good
Everything was greet! Katie, the GM was awesome.
Disappointing. Service and food.
What stood out the most about The Macintosh is typically you have great, friendly service and the food doesn't live up to the hype OR you have magnificent food but you struggle with a waiter/waitress that has the worst timing or won't refill your drink. Not only was the food at the Macintosh amazingly cooked to perfection with the CAB Deckle that we both had, but the waitress and servers were so friendly, incredibly knowledgeable about all aspects of the menu, and very prompt with menu courses and of course our drinks. It was definitely pricey but well worth the price to pay for an elegant meal for you and your date in downtown Charleston.
We showed up early and ended up just sitting at the bar. We had had a late lunch and weren’t that hungry. Shared appetizer and the burger and both were so delicious. Service was great and very friendly and hospitable. Typical southern charm!
First visit to the restaurant. It was a Monday night and pretty quite they had good deal on wine, food was good but the kitchen was very slow taking over an hour for entree's to arrive. However they did bring 2 free appetiser's as an apology. Overall OK but nothing special.
Amazing food! Totally unexpected! You must try the fish bologna sliders - yep I said just that! And the bone marrow bread pudding!
outstanding food. incredible service. we sat on the back patio. it seemed a bit noisy inside.
The Mac Attack is one of the best breakfast meals I have ever had!
We can't say enough about the service at Macintosh! Very attentive, on point with recommendations and a pleasurable experience all around. Our food was great and did not disappoint. We will be back on our next Charleston trip.
Food is amazing! Drinks were great. Best place that we went to in Charleston!
Absolute must with terrific ambiance and great food. Perfect in every way!
Not as good as usual. Four of us ordered several appetizers for shared dining and waiter brought 5 at one time😳 We asked for one at a time!
The Deckle was out of this world!! Never stop making it. Thank you!
suggest the duck confit, yum. precede it with delicious salad. Fahlingina wine will suit as well
This was by far the best experience at a restaurant in Charleston, SC me and my girlfriend have ever had. The staff was so knowledgeable on the food and the flavors. Everything was so delicious and honestly had an amazing time definitely would go back. Great food, amazing staff, and lovely ambiance! Thank you for allowing us to have such an amazing experience.
Tremendous food and excellent server!
One of our favorite Charleston restaurants. Food is always excellent (the duck and the vegetable platter were particularly good). Service is efficient and friendly.
Nice service. The food was tasty but quite heavy. A few green items or a fruit bowl would be a great addition to the menu.
The banana bread was amazing.
Great spot for Brunch in Charleston. Their brunch menu leans a little more towards breakfast which I like. The service was excellent and the food and drinks were on point!
The staff was like nothing we’ve ever experienced. Everyone is caring and helping each other. The attention to detail was extraordinary. The chef is not just making food.....they are interesting little pieces of artwork. We absolutely enjoyed the experience.
Our waitress was awesome. She was really nice and took good care of us. The food was good quality but I have had better. Many of the items, especially the fries were extremely salty. Drinks not my favorite, had better. Good for the experience
great place! Zack was a great server and was totally in tune with our desires
Food was good but small portions.
Limit variety on menu
Our service was fantastic. The waiter did a great job of explaining the different menu items, and how they were prepared. We had the squash blossom appetizer. I wish we had had more than two to share between the four of us. The food was delicious all around.
First time at The Macintosh. The level of service and attention from all the staff was phenomenal. Was very pleased with the wine selection. We had the ricotta gnudi, swordfish, and pork shoulder. The food was perfect... Alas, we did not save room for dessert.
Our best experience in our week in Charleston, The Macintosh is just what you want in a restaurant, inviting and welcoming people, delicious and fun food. Good music, nice vibe....we loved everything about it. There is a real knack to making strangers feel special, and they have it.
Actually, both my wife and I feel that the dinner we had here several days ago was one of the best meals that we have evr had served to us. Top notch preparation and presentation.
The food and service was absolutely incredible!!! A pricey experience but worth every penny!
We LOVE The Macintosh! Food is amazing - so creative and delicious! Service is on point. There was a delay with our entrees but we didn’t even care because they handled it with such grace and professionalism. The deckle does NOT disappoint, and the fries that come with the burger are worth the trip all by themselves. Highly recommend.
Very disappointed in the carbo-overload of the appetizers at the bar. Nothing but potatoes.....
The menu was limited but new daily and our server was spectacular at describing each option in detail. We thoroughly enjoyed our entire experience and highly recommend!
Amazing food! Loved the Witchdoctor cocktail and steak and frites!!
The entire staff including our server, the chef and the manager made our visit so special. The took care of us from the moment we walked in and completely won us over. Food was incredible — even our two young kids loved everything!! The Macintosh is amazing!
Fantastic food. Fantastic service. Couldn’t have had a better date night dinner
loved our waiter ( name begins with a "k" ? all food was nicely presented and delicious!
Easter Brunch was wonderful! We started out with the truffle frites and carafe of mimosas’ Then Chef brought out this wonderful additional appetizer of Banana Pecan Bread with Honey Butter...the combination of sweet and savory with both plates was over-the-top fabulous! We needed a minute to continue with our order... oh my gosh! Then my husband and I ordered ‘Big Things,’ and I ordered The Duke- Pickle-Brine Fried Chicken, Gravy, Biscuit and the most creamy and cheesy sunny side egg...I love the salty goodness from the pickle brine, and creaminess from the egg... it’s making my mouth water with this reflection; I digress. My husband ordered and devoured the Hanger Steak and Eggs... it looked wonderful, as well. The intention was to share entrees so both could experience something unique... I wouldn’t share my entree after I took a bite... I knew he wouldn’t appreciate it as much as I would, so I ate it all...by myself. Chef gifted us dessert adult beverages and it was everything I could to finish like a champ and without anything on my plate. That would be down right rude and the people at The Macintosh do everything with love. Enough said! We celebrate special occasions here and we arrive hungry and leave overwhelmed with love in our bellies.
Although the food was good, it could not overcome the ridiculously high noise level. When we go out to eat, I want a pleasant experience, and that includes being able to talk to each other. When the din is so much that you can't speak in normal voice, or hear your partner, it's not a pleasant experience.
The food was food but not great, and certainly over-rated price-wise.
The entire team was fantastic, shout out to Zack as a great waiter.
