My friends and I had a wonderful experience! Service was amazing and food was great! We will definitely be back.
This is always a great treat and the service was super as well.
The Macintosh has been my favorite restaurant for several years now. The food and service is always outstanding. I highly recommend!
Great service in down town Charleston, waiter was exceptional!
They accommodated us last minute on New Year's Eve & we certainly appreciated that. The food was good and the ambiance great. Service was good, however the portions small. Overall Good but nothing makes me want to return.
Poutine and the MacAttack, brunch here was the food highlight of our visit!!!
Food and staff were wonderful!
The pan grilled grouper was the best I’ve had locally - crisp on outside, moist and flaky inside. Delicious!
Brian our server was amazing!
Solid as always.
As always good food, GREAT service and nice atmosphere.
Excellent all around! This is a destination I would recommend when in Charleston.
Truly excellent food. The bone marrow bread pudding is out of this world. Service was also top notch.
Excellent dining experience - food and service was exceptional!
A must stop in the Charleston area. It was absolutely fantastic and presentation was great.
Food was great and service was great! We all had a great time
Had the chefs tasting menu which features 3 items chosen by the chef. We told the waiter we weren’t big dessert people so he substituted a mid course plate for dessert. The way the served the meal my wife and I ended up sharing 5 dishes - 2 starters, a mid course plate and 2 entrees. All very well prepared. Great wine suggestion by our waiter as well.
We went to the Macintosh about a year ago and had a FANTASTIC and memorable meal. Obviously something has changed in the year. I had the gnudi as an appetizer and it was *really* good. The gnudis were light, puffy clouds of lightly cheesy goodness, covered with a chiffonade of Brussels sprouts that had been flash-fried to be crispy and were very tasty and not at all cabbage-y. My companion had the scallops, and they were bland and uninteresting. They, at least, were not overcooked, but when I see sauteed scallops on a menu, I expect the edges to be somewhat caramelized and there to be some seasoning on them. They were boring. For our "main course," though they were also apps, we both had the sweetbreads which were fried (deep fried?) in a batter better suited to the Colonel's crispy fried chicken. Sweetbreads are (at least in my experience) pressed before cooking and coated in something much lighter for frying or sauteeing. We were both disappointed in the meal, though the service was good.
Fabulous! Service excellent. Wonderful food. We went for Sunday lunch.
Our server, Savannah, was friendly and efficient. She helped with our brunch selections from poutine with pork belly to chicken and waffles( quite a generous plate), the Duke, and hanger steak with eggs. Everything came out perfectly and no need for salt and pepper! The atmosphere is perfect... a small dining room with a large storefront window open to our beautiful Charleston Sunday foot traffic. We look forward to our next visit! We spied a burger on a table nearby, and I can't wait to have one!
Always excellent and highly recommended!!
Amazing food and drinks as well as fantastic service
So amazing!! We can not wait to visit again with friends and family to take them here. The prices are higher but sooo worth the all the amazing service, food and drinks! 10/10 would recommend.
Great food, great service; don't miss it!
Great way to spend a Thanksgiving so far away from home. Our “Big” last dinner with our son before we told him goodbye. He is in the Army now...
My only complaint is the tables are too close together for an intimate dinner.
Came here by recommendation from a friend, and glad we did. We chose to let the chef create a 3 course meal for us based on our preferences. It was fantastic! This is like a Tapas restaurant on steroids. We found it very impressive, both because of the food and the professional atmosphere. Recommended.
Always a treat to dine at MacIntosh! Whether we go for brunch, a romantic dinner or with a group, we always leave happy and full. This visit was for date night. We split three dishes- the hot pork belly soup, the gnudi with Brussels sprouts and the classic burger with truffle frites. All were absolutely delicious and perfectly prepared. The pork belly was crispy perfection. The Brussels sprouts on top of the gnudi, combined with the bacon lardons, were out of this world and the standout of the dish. And as always, you’d be hard pressed to find a better burger on the peninsula. Service was spot on- friendly, attentive and very helpful. Ambiance is perfectly dim and subdued, yet lively at the same time. Will always consider MacIntosh a favorite and can’t recommend it enough.
Great food. great service. Great atmosphere.
Seemed to be average brunch crowd, but the kitchen got in the weeds and our meal took 45 minutes to get to us, people who sat down after us got their meal first. Had to wait for coffee to brew, then remind our waiter, had to get up and ask for salt and pepper. The food was tasty but not worth the hassle. Won't go back.
Service was impeccable! Food was amazing!
We went to brunch after we did a charity 45 min bike ride. The service was top notch and the food was fun and different. Everybody had a good time.
We had a great time! Excellent food, friendly fabtastic service! Try everything because nothing will disappoint you!
The food and service were outstanding, we had a great experience. We did the tasting menu with and extra course which was a great choice. If anything at all I would say the portions could have been a bit smaller... it was a huge amount of food.
Excellent CAB meat. Cheerful, friendly service. Well managed. Menu and food quality beyond expectations. We returned 2 days after our first meal there!
Incredible service. Food was amazing!
The restaurant has gone downhill. They get a lot of tourism so they don’t care about the quality of the food anymore. We ordered four different things, they were all bad… One of them is completely inedible. The wings with fish sauce where absolutely disgusting… And so over cooked that they were dry and crunchy. The service was equally bad. No one was friendly outside of the hostess. Bartenders wanted nothing to do with us even though wasn’t even busy. What a waste of $100 a great night in Charleston. Way too many options just suffer through an experience like this
This place is addictive. I went two nights in a row and we ordered everything on the menu. The deckle was ridiculous and we had a flight of Madeira to boot. Truffle fries are worth the trip alone!
The menu is somewhat limited overall and seems very limited in vegetables. However, our food was perfectly prepared and presented. We would dine there again.
