Our service was fantastic. The waiter did a great job of explaining the different menu items, and how they were prepared. We had the squash blossom appetizer. I wish we had had more than two to share between the four of us. The food was delicious all around.
First time at The Macintosh. The level of service and attention from all the staff was phenomenal. Was very pleased with the wine selection. We had the ricotta gnudi, swordfish, and pork shoulder. The food was perfect... Alas, we did not save room for dessert.
Our best experience in our week in Charleston, The Macintosh is just what you want in a restaurant, inviting and welcoming people, delicious and fun food. Good music, nice vibe....we loved everything about it. There is a real knack to making strangers feel special, and they have it.
Actually, both my wife and I feel that the dinner we had here several days ago was one of the best meals that we have evr had served to us. Top notch preparation and presentation.
The food and service was absolutely incredible!!! A pricey experience but worth every penny!
We LOVE The Macintosh! Food is amazing - so creative and delicious! Service is on point. There was a delay with our entrees but we didn’t even care because they handled it with such grace and professionalism. The deckle does NOT disappoint, and the fries that come with the burger are worth the trip all by themselves. Highly recommend.
Very disappointed in the carbo-overload of the appetizers at the bar. Nothing but potatoes.....
The menu was limited but new daily and our server was spectacular at describing each option in detail. We thoroughly enjoyed our entire experience and highly recommend!
Amazing food! Loved the Witchdoctor cocktail and steak and frites!!
The entire staff including our server, the chef and the manager made our visit so special. The took care of us from the moment we walked in and completely won us over. Food was incredible — even our two young kids loved everything!! The Macintosh is amazing!
Fantastic food. Fantastic service. Couldn’t have had a better date night dinner
loved our waiter ( name begins with a "k" ? all food was nicely presented and delicious!
Easter Brunch was wonderful! We started out with the truffle frites and carafe of mimosas’ Then Chef brought out this wonderful additional appetizer of Banana Pecan Bread with Honey Butter...the combination of sweet and savory with both plates was over-the-top fabulous! We needed a minute to continue with our order... oh my gosh! Then my husband and I ordered ‘Big Things,’ and I ordered The Duke- Pickle-Brine Fried Chicken, Gravy, Biscuit and the most creamy and cheesy sunny side egg...I love the salty goodness from the pickle brine, and creaminess from the egg... it’s making my mouth water with this reflection; I digress. My husband ordered and devoured the Hanger Steak and Eggs... it looked wonderful, as well. The intention was to share entrees so both could experience something unique... I wouldn’t share my entree after I took a bite... I knew he wouldn’t appreciate it as much as I would, so I ate it all...by myself. Chef gifted us dessert adult beverages and it was everything I could to finish like a champ and without anything on my plate. That would be down right rude and the people at The Macintosh do everything with love. Enough said! We celebrate special occasions here and we arrive hungry and leave overwhelmed with love in our bellies.
Although the food was good, it could not overcome the ridiculously high noise level. When we go out to eat, I want a pleasant experience, and that includes being able to talk to each other. When the din is so much that you can't speak in normal voice, or hear your partner, it's not a pleasant experience.
The food was food but not great, and certainly over-rated price-wise.
The entire team was fantastic, shout out to Zack as a great waiter.
Just very so-so, and might have been an off night. Place was busy with many ordering the burger. Only seven entrees and some were really odd. Friendly staff.
Food was amazing and the service impeccable. One of Charleston favorites...........
Everything was very good. We had a very helpful server. I wish the menu had a regular green salad and some vegetables as a side. The wine list needs help.
Innovative food, wonderful staff, and great atmosphere!
Great breakfast place! Food was delicious- service was wonderful!
It was very good, not great in such city as Charleston. We both had the Mac Attack at Sunday brunch. I didn't think one egg and 4 smaller pieces of pork belly warranted the name. While it was delicious another 4-5 bites (another egg and couple of pieces of pork belly) would have worth the name and price.
The Bacon Bloody Mary was delicious too...only slightly small.
The Macintosh was our first meal in Charleston and became the standard by which we judged every other meal. My husband had seared scallops and the pork confit cassoulet. I had the grouper, but the prize for the meal goes to my soft-shell crab appetizer, easily the best crab I’ve ever had. Ambience and decor was great if a bit dark for our aging eyes.
Pretty amazing meal paired with great service and good cocktails.
The best blend of flavors!
Had a great night out. Excellent knowledgeable waiter. Appetizer was full of flavor (pasta). Fish entree was simple and clean flavor.
Best brunch in town! Every item a winner!
This was an exceptional experience. The Fois Gras toast was one of the best dishes I’ve had in almost 20 years working in food and Bev. Yet another Indigo Road concept that exceeds expectation. Made my anniversary memorable and were treated like VIPs.
I wish I could remember our servers name... Savannah maybe? Great with suggestions, outstanding service, and the perfect amount of attention for a couple celebrating an anniversary.
My parents celebrated there 40th anniversary here... I hope to do the same.
Our first time visit was very fun. The only reason I didn’t give it 5 stars was because I thought the Mac Potatoes were way too salty. I highly recommend the flounder small plate. I loved it so much I ordered a second one before the main entree. I should have stopped there, but was curious about the veggie plate. It was very good and fresh! The server was super nice and new everything about the menu and a lot about the wines. Would definitely recommend.
We’ve been waiting for a while to get in here but it was worth the wait. Were fortunate for it to be soft shelled crab season so loved that. The pork confit cassoulet was excellent as was the surf and turf board. We’ll definitely be back!
Met my son and his girlfriend for a casual Friday night dinner, service was very friendly and totally accommodating with food allergies. They had a creative and delicious mocktail menu, which, if you don’t drink, is totally appreciated. Food was equally as creative, fresh and good. Be warned, this is not a traditional restaurant menu and it’s very heavy on meat selections.
More of a place for foodies than fine dining. The truffle fries were outstanding.
Great spot, little dark in middle of sunny days- even though front doors/windows open. Great food & service
Cool vibe, excellent food (we ordered 6 appetizers) , great drinks, great service.
Very friendly and knowledgeable staff. Love it when they can tell you how the food is prepared and willing to give a recommendation. Great service.
Absolutely fabulous food, service and atmosphere! I have eaten at many Charleston restaurants and I have to say Macintosh is one of the very best.
Excellent Service; great variety on the menu. Nice casual atmosphere.
The food was great. Interesting pairings that worked great together. Exactly what we were looking for in a special dinner experience with friends.
We love Macintosh, we had the chef's table and loved the food service and wine choices. Especially
enjoyed the snow crab gundi, and bone marrow starters, exceptional. We'll be back soon
As always, the food was incredible. We received top-notch treatment from our server, Kevin.
