   Food was good and drinks were good value. Service was terrible. We were served by someone who gave the impression she could not be bothered to serve us. I will not be back unless the service improves and would not recommend

   Clean and welcoming , the staff were very friendly and the food was good and reasonably priced. I would dine there again - good value

   Our booking was for 1.30 on a Sunday, but despite the restaurant being only half-full, service was slow and surly. Our waitress took insouciance to a new level and responded to our (few) requests, such as "Can we sit there rather than here?" with gruff monosyllables and a dismissive shrug of the shoulders. We all ordered the roast beef Sunday lunch and I can honestly say that I believe a Harvesters would have done a better job. The food took a mysteriously long time to arrive - about 20 minutes - and was all strangely flavoured. The roast potatoes, in particular, tasted like nothing I've ever eaten...a bit like incense infused cotton wool. The gravy was gelatinous and again tasted oddly oriental, but not in a food sort of way, more like just-about-liquid wood. Suffice it to say, I would not ever eat there again.

   Poor service 4 main courses was served but had to wait another 10 mins before the last main course arrived. Had to go to the bar to order drinks seem to be short of staff Also had to ask the waitress to clear the table,overall a lunch experience best forgotten,

   Very handy. A great setting and good food. I've been there a number of times and the staff are attentive. Service is quick and it is pretty good value for the area. I will be going back. Good selection as well.

   Three of us stopped-by for breakfast. The food was excellent and the service even better. Will definitely return.

   First time in Loose Box and very good service, great food and great choice of beers. We are a Dutch company, so mixed bunch of Brits and Dutch diners on this occasion. Very nice waiter and waitress looking after us. Would highly recommend.

   If you're happy to put up with - piped music so loud and with such poor acoustics that all you can hear is the bass line - no chance of talking to someone at the other end of the table, - a busy bar but no option of non-alcoholic beer (one of our party of seven can't take alcohol), - indifferent waiter service, - food that can be described as adequate at best, then this is the place for you.

   We booked a late lunch booked for a birthday celebration, and although by 2pm the place was very quiet, we still had a 45 minute wait for food, which came out in twos, for a party of eight! The only disappointing food was the fish and chips - two out of the three had very overdone batter which was a shame because one of them was the birthday boy. Other than that, venue and staff delightful as always

    Really noisy which made it difficult to talk. Not so much a restaurant more a pub that does food. The food was ok and the waitress was lovely but neither would make me go back.
