Very loud, expensive and poor decisions in plating.
The restaurant is mostly hard surfaces so all sound is continually bouncing back and forth with nothing to absorb it. Very loud overall. The menu has some nice offerings all though the entire list of appetizers are priced equally to the entrees.
I ordered the Grilled Chicken Gyro. It arrived and looked weathered. The plate itself was hot, usually not a problem. However, I ordered a side Caesar Salad to go with my Gyro. Why you would put a cold salad on a hot plate makes no sense. In addition, every component in the Gyro was hot. Gladly the chicken, but the lettuce, the onions, the radish, and the tzatziki sauce. The tzatziki sauce looked melted.
I asked for a side of tzatziki hoping that a fresh, cold dollop could save the sandwich. The sauce showed up at the table 7 minutes after the food was dropped off. When it arrived it was the sorriest example of tzatziki I have ever experienced. The closest thing I could compare it to would be extra thick, creamy Italian salad dressing.
My guess is the sandwich, salad and plate sat under a heat lamp prior to delivery. Ruined the meal.
We were attending nearby movie. Booked a table for Friday at 6 pm. Service was great, food delicious, and we definitely plan to return.
Great food, great service, and fun place to watch the game!
Salmon burger was reported as very good. Flatbread pizza was poor - not very tasty at all & too dry. Cajun fettuccini Alfredo was not spicy at all unfortunately- tasted ok, just bland.
Our first time at The Loop and we would go again. Our party of three shared the cinnamon rolls and ordered from the brunch menu. We enjoyed our choices, the service was helpful and the surroundings were pleasant.
Good experience, we would go back.
We sat in a somewhat quiet corner and enjoyed a long, leisurely dinner—very tasty and delicious.
First time there. Great food and service. Will definitely go back.
Great location, Happy Hour if fablous and from 2-6 amazing. We sat on the patio and had a wonderful time.
Food was good. Waitress was slow and didn’t checkin to see if we needed anything.
We were warmly greeted by the host and we chose to sit at the bar as we usually prefer. There Brent and Liz both greeted us with a hello and a smile. I had the poke salad and the Brussel sprouts. They were awesome. All evening Liz, Brent and eventually Austin when he arrived were attentive and had a great rapport with everyone at the bar. The food is always great but it is the service we get that brings us back.
The food was bad and the service was worse. Yikes!
Book club gathering before a movie
While it’s not a knock you out best food you’ll ever have restaurant it is affordable with good drink variety and something on the menu for everyone. Worth checking out if you’ve got time to kill before a movie nearby.
Salmon burger was soooo good ! My friend also raves about the walleye !
We asked the waitress if the music could be turned down and it never was. Food was good , just too loud .
Love this place! The tuna avocado toast is incredible! Consistently good service and food. Forget Crave. Loop it up baby!
Service was not good. Meals were wrong and a drink was forgotten. Pretty typical for here.
The staff was wonderfully welcoming. The staff attention to our table was timely and energetic.
Recommendation: Not allowing people to smoke on the patio. I know it's outside, but if people want to enjoy the fresh air and nice weather, and people are smoking at the next table, it definitely makes it less appetizing.
As usual we were greeted warmly by our server Brent. Throughout the evening we were helped by Brent, Austin and Derrick. Each did an awesome job. Tried the new Chicken Gyro, it was great.
Great food, service and atmosphere
I went to The Loop with a friend for brunch, we travel all over the cities for brunch and it’s nice that places are popping up outside the downtowns. The ordered the ham and mushroom hash which was fine, nothing amazing but made like I could make at home. We also had the mini cinnamon roll which in my opinion had too much frosting and not enough cinnamon. But the server was great and attentive, the mimosas were delicious and I appreciated a place in St Louis Park as opposed to driving downtown. 4/5 stars.
Wanted to sit outside, but no table available. Inside was too noisy. Ended up sitting in an outdoor lounge area. Food was good.
Menu item need to have better descriptions, especially when it come to ingredients and spice level.
Server was clueless
The food was excellent (Loop burger), the hostess was wonderful, once I got service it was great! The hostess checked with me to see if I had been served yet (I hadn't) and got someone over. Because of her and the food I'd rate it an A+.
The food was good. The atmosphere was neat. The service was terrible.
We found a spot at the bar where we decided to have our dinner. Austin and Kaitlin were our servers and they were awesome. They both gave us a warm greeting and a smile. The drinks they made us were excellent. The food was great too and made to our requests.
Great flank steak salad as usual!
Horrible food worst I have had in a long time
My first time at The Loop and it was very good. Made a reservation for 2 online and we were seated within a couple minutes of arriving. The waitress was prompt, friendly and attentive. We ordered drinks to start and they were served promptly. We ordered sandwiches which also were served in a very reasonable time. The food was great - good portion size and very flavorful. My only wish would have been a better selection of craft beer that included more "light" varieties like Leinie's Summer Shandy. Overall a very good experience and we would recommend The Loop and return for future visits.
Delicious food, attentive polite service. Highly recommend the loopy brownie sundae, was absolutely delicious and very chocolaty. But should definitely split between at least 2-3 people.
I was there for lunch and it was quiet, the service was great and the food was outstanding! I will be going back.
Dinner was great and so was the service. We had a large group and they had everything ready for us when we arrived! Great food and service!
Our first visit to The Loop - West End was for our Triplets’ 18th Birthday and it did not disappoint! The food was delicious, the pricing was very reasonable, the ambiance great, and Jordan was an amazing server! Thank you for giving us a wonderful night out celebrating!
I'd seen this down on Twin Cities Live so we stopped and tried it. It was a bit dark in there. It wasn't really nice enough to eat outside. The menu selection was very good and I chose the walleye. Excellent. Son had the Korean bowl and it was good and spicy. Chris had a wonderful sandwich with avocado and chicken but there best was there dessert we chose in honor of my sons birthday. It r was chocolate bites! Wonderful warm chocolate chip cookies with a fish of vanilla ice cream on the side. Terrific! The service was very good.
I didn’t realize that their brunch would be buffet only and that we couldn’t order off the menu on Morher’s Day. The buffet was very good (definitely better than the average brunch buffet!), just different than we were hoping for.
Mother’s Day gr8 brunch!!!!! Good good food!!
We enjoyed our time at The Loop. Pleasant experience, good food.
While the food was great, our lack of service was disappointing. Our server (Andrew) basically threw our waters on the table and said ‘I’ll be back’. When he came back he just took our order very abruptly and left. Other people delivered our meals, there was no check in, waters weren’t refilled and I had to ask for sweet and low for my tea twice. Our bills were once again just dumped on the table with no ‘thank you’, no ‘enjoy your day’, nothing. Our ‘tip’ reflected his lousy attitude. It did not seem to be busy.
