Like the 250-year-old barn that houses our restaurant, our hand-crafted beer, quality food and dedicated staff stand to make this a perfect site for a night out for your special occasion. The Long Valley Brew Pub is part of Restaurant Village which also features Chesapeake Tavern, Red Lantern Sushi & Asian and La Rienda Latin Cafe.
Outdoor seating is first come/first serve basis, we do not take reservations for the patio.
The food was excellent & it’s a very nice restaurant. Our server was great. The only thing that was a bit disappointing was that the dessert (cheesecake) was still a bit frozen. But the experience was good & the entree excellent.
Good food and beer but very cold draft at our table
The black bean burger was wonderfully flavorful.
Disappointed they currently don't have a brew master. Therefore, they didn't have any of their own brews.
It took us 45 minutes before we got our drinks. It was not the waiter's fault, she was clearly overwhelmed.
Great food and ambiance. Nice for a special occasion and very accommodating.
We love this restaurant but will take it off of our summer list because there is virtually no air conditioning. It is a beautiful old stone building. Gorgeous in the Fall, but much too hot in warm weather. We felt especially bad for the servers because the kitchen is on the first floor and much of the seating is on the second; thus, they had to traverse steep steps in the heat, carrying heavy trays.
Always good food and beer. We try to go there when friends are in town.
Seated outside per request. Turkey burger was a 10. Everyone enjoyed the food and ambience.
Our first time there, and we reserved for 4PM dinner, inside. Patio was crowded but inside was relatively empty and quiet, and the staff immediately came over and took our drink orders, etc. Dinner was excellent and staff was very attentive. Will definitely go there again.
It was LESS than mediocre. The server was nice. However the food was pretty terrible. We were a party of 6, 4 children and 2 adults. However our children all eat off the adult menu as they are very good eater and don’t prefer typical kid menu items. So, we ordered a salmon dish (that was way over cooked), a pork chop that was also terribly chewy, an entree salad that was overdressed and had so many different flavors it was incredibly unbalanced. I ordered a drink from the bar and it was made awful. I had to physically walk to the bar to explain it to them personally. As well, all around us while we were eating they were setting up for what I could only guess was a Mother’s Day brunch, but it was rude and annoying since they were literally dragging large 8-10’ tables right alongside our table. The manager would not have even been helpful to discuss any of this bc he was heading up the set up so clearly he didn’t care about that level of hospitality or lack thereof. It was all in all a poor experience and we will not be going back! ***if you want to go outside and just drink their average brews then it is fine, but the dining options inside and food quality leaves much to be desired.
The atmosphere is really nice - stone walls and wood beams. The food was excellent as was the service. Really perfect place to take out of town guests.
Food was great and the service started out great even though they were training a new server. After our food was served, she never came back other than to offer dessert. She did not even mention coffee or tea. I do love the place though. We will be back for sure!
Butternut squash ravioli was excellent. Server and staff were very accommodating. A local favorite!
Food and service were great, noise level was too loud to have a casual conversation.
Already put a great reveiw on yelp. I would definitely return to longvalley brewery and pub...thank you from si .ny. Original staten islanders ,not these transplanted flakes...lol
Everything was great except our table was right next to the front door. VERY CHILLY!!
Go for the beer, stay for the
Fun place; good food, good service. nice ambiance. Would gladly come again with family and friends.
First time at Long Valley Pub & Brewery & we'll be back. It was very enjoyable!
Food came out too fast. Not enough time to enjoy appetizers. Waiter was indifferent.
Food was ok.
Probably won’t go back
Troy, our server, was excellent. Kind, enthusiastic, and very service oriented. He made the delicious food even more enjoyable! Thanks, Troy!!
We come here often, love it, and highly recommend it.
Beautiful restaurant in a gorgeously restored barn with excellent service. Absolutely terrible food, my “blackened” fish was very undercooked, practically raw in the middle, with a strong, spoiled odor - should never have been plated, nor served. Won’t be back.
Great food and service as always. I would highly recommend
The food was excellent. The only negatives (and I do not believe them to be systemic), were the fact that it was very cold in the corner we were seated. Rather than asked to be moved since we were just starting to eat an appetizer, my girlfriend and I both put on our coats. You would think someone would have inquired about our comfort upon seeing us bundled up, but no. Late in the meal a manager walking around asked how everything was with the meal. I said fine except that there seemed to be no heat on. And this was that rainy new year's Eve we just had. She went to check on it but never came back. The other thing was, I asked our waiter about hangar steak, not being very familiar with that cut. He said it was a very thin steak. So I ordered it rear. Turned out it was about an in and a half thick. Although pretty tender. I just would have ordered it medium instead being so thick.
Went out to eat on a Sunday evening with my husband for dinner. Immediately after dinner the bar tender asked us to move from our table to another table for another party. As we were enjoying a night without our three children I found this quite rude. We ended up losing the table and having our after dinner coffee at the bar. Not really ideal. This ruined our nice dinner.
Had a birthday dinner for our adult son. The food was very good and the staff was accommodating. They presented dessert with a rendition of Happy Birthday. Will go back again.
Family birthday dinner
Great place to get together with family before the holidays. Food & service was amazing! 10 of us and 3 checks. Our server got it all right. The kitchen got it all right. Enough of a varied menu to suit all our dietary likes & dislikes. And centrally located for us to meet and reconnect. Loved the special Peppermint Patty drink & berry salad. The pretzels too. We were seated upstairs and had a wonderful time. Thank you!
Service was poor. Server was not attentive. Shrimp dumpling appetizer was served barely warm, almost cold. My wife's "medium" burger was well done and dry. My steak (tenderloin) sandwich had a skimpy piece of overcooked filet in the roll. My dinner was mostly bread and french fries.
Unfortunately a disappointing evening at the brewery. At least it felt like a country Christmas atmosphere.
Food is always top notch. Selection of food and beer is great. Local brewed beer always a plus.
We celebrated a 91st birthday. Everyone’s food was simply delicious. Would highly recommend. I had the pan fried scallops with Parmesan risotto with cranberries- wonderful!
Great place to see autumn colors, enjoy the fireplace and friendliness of staff.
Nice atmosphere. Good beer. Good menu selection but it is pricey
Very disappointed with Long Valley Pub. Food was expensive & at best, adequate. Service was dismal. We waited more than 25 minutes after being seated before anyone stopped at our table. Had to beg for water. Never asked if we wanted any bread although saw it on other tables. Took my hubby there especially for the beer but he thought it was so-so. Ordered 2 apps, the coconut shrimp & guacamole. The shrimp was very good but very stingy sauce portion. The guacamole was tasteless. Had the spinach apple salad w/dressing on the side. Bland, blah & did not get any dressing! Hubby ordered wedge salad, & he liked that. Dinner, I chose the pumpkin ravioli special. Could not detect any pumpkin taste at all, plus the sauce was so bland, it added nothing to the dish. Hubby had the rosemary shrimp & again, he said it was so blah, he left most of it on his plate. Hubby had a cappuccino & I asked for the brown sugar coffee special on the menu. We also ordered the apple w/ice cream dessert. The pastry was so stale, we ate the tablespoon of ice cream & left the rest. I also received the wrong coffee & asked for the one I ordered. I never got it & was also charged for the wrong coffee even after I said something to the server. Never going back again. Should have gone to Chesapeake Grill for a much better meal & ambiance. Do not recommend.
My wife's beer(wit) was flat, they did change it. Had 2 other beers and neither was too good. I have been here a few times last year and they have had reasonably good beer but this time it was disappointing. The food was mostly a miss. The only saving grace was the outstanding service the waitress was very friendly and attentive.
Won't be going till next year - its a brewery pub and the beer was flat
All was excellent. Our server, Dan, was great! Just a bit loud for a larger group.
The patio outside is fantastic. Service was on point and we did not feel rushed. The scallops were delicious, and they were able to split an entree salad for us to have as an appetizer. Great place for outdoor dining, plus the building is very interesting.
Stopped in on a nice Sunday evening and was happy to be able to sit outside and enjoy the live music. We ordered some drinks and food and both were terrific. I enjoy the different beers and ales that the Pub creates on a seasonal basis. We started with the boneless wings and then our maincourses of burgers and I had the sauerbraten which was so tender it simply melted in my mouth. The portions are generous and you won't leave hungry. I highly recommend.
