The Loft - Tahoe
Remember to try one of our famous table-side S’more Fire Pits for dessert!
Dining at the restaurant is separate from our shows.
Great evening. We were attending the magic show that evening so we thought we’d enjoy dinner too. There was something for everybody on the menu. Staff was great and so was the food and the show.
Food had much to be desired!! We went there to eat dinner before the show - service was spot on and the Magic Fusion was great! However I have had better frozen meals, it had no flavor I seasoning and not a touch of garlic. Make some extra time before the show to eat somewhere else. You’ll thank me !!
liked the service but found the food vey mediocre, not bad just not a wow. Nice view of the ice skating rink. We didn't make the magic show but I bet that would be fun and an easy way to get there with dinner before.
My family of 6 went to the Loft for Thanksgiving. The tomato bisque was barely lukewarm. We had to ask to heat all three up, and when they returned, it was clear that they just heated it in the microwave. The meat lasagna was completely bland. The shrimp in the shrimp scampi was boiled and over cooked. The steak Gorgonzola was drowned with sauce and looked like it was served from a cafeteria. And the French bread pizza my kids ate was so soggy. The only decent dishes were the rosemary ciabatta appetizer and the s’mores dessert, but how hard is it to ruin those two dishes. The service was lacking. The place is so dark. We could barely see each other, and at the same time, the servers couldn’t see us when we were trying to flag them down. My sister had to get up twice to get their attention. My family will definitely be looking for a do-over for Thanksgiving, but we’ll do it elsewhere.
Impressive! Cocktails, perfect! Food, delish! Service, excellent! Ambiance, spot on! Dessert, lovely! Magic show/entertainment, hilariously fun! Overall experience, highly recommend!
Food wasn’t that great. Waiter broke a glass on our table and we had broken glass in some of our food. I would highly recommend the show but skip the dinner.
Great bread. But average food in general. Over cooked pasta and tasteless dishes.
The food is superb. Service above the top. Just distressed that when we made the reservations they asked if we were celebrating anything we mentioned it was our anniversary and I feel like they blew it off.
Loved this place! We saw the Friday night comedy show and loved it! We returned on Saturday for an intimate dinner (celebrating our honeymoon) and loved the food! Both dishes we had were amazing! To top all of this off, they offered s'mores as a dessert option! We literally roasted our marshmallows right at our table! Awesome place for a variety of occasions! We will definitely be back!
Butternut squash tortellini was fantastic!
the magic show was amazing, the food and service was perfect! i highly recommend! Thank you!
My son and I visited The Loft for dinner and Magic After Dark. We ordered specialty drinks - Trick or treat and a Blood and Sand. My son ordered chicken Parmigiano and I ordered vegetables. The food and drinks were amazing! Our waiter, Scot, was attentive and pleasant. My son finally got to try Blood and Sand, I highly recommend it. The atmosphere at dinner was dark, energetic, noisy but not too loud. Magic After Dark was funny, slightly raunchy, and extremely entertaining. This show is a must-see for adults. After the show we made smores at our table and had another round of drinks. We will be back!
It was a lovely experience and a great place for a date. I read in the reviews to try the smores and It was definitely worth it. Overall I am happy with my choice and decision to eat here.
Great night at the Loft! We love coming here!
Service was great. It was a Wednesday night so it was pretty quiet. Great for a date night. The food was good as well. The Bruschetta was decent but we had a better one at another Italian place in the area. Overall a nice place to dine pre or post the show. Nice bar area as well.
Great food, drinks and Magic Show! Taylor Hughes is fabulous!
Went to the Loft for dinner and the Magic show. Our server, Todd, was terrific. He was friendly and very knowledgeable about the menu. The Loft is a trendy place; dark colors and dimly lit. The menu had an Italian theme yet had several unique menu choices.
The food was excellent yet pricey. This choice was to celebrate our son's birthday with dinner and show. Do not regret the experience and worth going as long as you know you will spend a good bit on food & drinks.
If you get Todd as your server, you will not be disappointed.
The food was amazing. We had the butternut squash tortellini and the Chuken Picatta. We recommend both plates. We had dinner and after dinner attended the Magic Show located in the same floor as the restaurant. He service was A+. Will come back again next time we visit Lake Tahoe.
Great service! Portions are smaller but delicious. All the entrees come atop pasta. Not a spot for gluten free. On Friday night they had a DJ. Hard to climb the stairs to get to the dining room - they make you work for it!
Great for our 9th anniversary! Would recommend to friends and visitors.
In general we enjoyed our dinner at the Loft. The food was good, the tiramisu was excellent, and service was very good. The only thing I would have preferred was different (and I realize this is a personal preference) was that the room was very dark. I prefer a little brighter dining experience. In general though, we had a lovely dinner for four in celebration of my husband’s birthday.
The food was awesome. A bit pricey but worth it. Staff was awesome and attentive. The atmosphere was great. A nice place for a romantic date or a group outing with friends.
We have eaten here prior and enjoyed it. This time the dining room was very cold. Only two other tables seated for dinner and all were complaining it was uncomfortably cold. The servings were significantly smaller than our last visit. Honestly the Picatta was about 3 ounces of chicken - $27.
Terrible food. Did not receive several menu items we ordered. Waiter said he was too busy. Drinks were weak.
Will not be returning and will share our experience with others.
We had the chicken picatta and butternut squash tortelloni. Both were delicious. The tiramisu was different from any I've had previously; that said, DELICIOUS!
Had dinner here before the magic show. Off season in the village so quiet and intimate for dinner. Katherine provided exceptional service and the food was 5 star worthy. Highly recommended.
The best food we had during our 2 week stay at Lake Tahoe. Keep up the great work! We split a Caesar Salad and Chicken Piccata. The way each of these dishes was prepared, was excellent. I highly recommend!
Not really a "restaurant", more of a bar with very good food. Almost all of the tables are high-tops so not a "dining" experience. Server was very good and food was very good, however
We celebrated a birthday here last month. Our waiter was top notch- friendly, knowledgeable and accommodating. The place is decorated in a very modern style, which is cool, but it was so dark we couldn't read our menus. We were also seated right next to another large group which made it quite noisy. This was strange since the entire place was empty at the time except for our two parties. The food was outstanding. Everyone commented on how great their selection was. Overall, it was a unique experience with excellent service and cuisine. The atmosphere could use some tweaking to make it more comfortable.
The Loft was fabulous, our server Scott was the best waiter I think we ‘ve ever had. We will definitely be back
Our greeter (from Poland) was warm and welcoming. We enjoyed our waitress- that’s where the pleasures stopped. While the “toasted cheese and tomato soup” appetizer was served promptly and hot... the caesar salad was overdressed and mini croutons appeared to be from mass packaging. The rosemary bread was served hot, but the olive oil/balsamic/garlic tasted rancid (bitter)... so say (3) people. Out of the three different pasta dishes ordered, (lasagne, shrimp/angel hair and chicken pesto), all were over-cooked and over sauced. A second visit is unlikely.
Excellent ambiance, food and show. The sauce is awesome and we thoroughly enjoyed the show and interaction.
Great cocktails, good food (even a kids menu), and the small magic theater is great for a close personal show. Lounge also has some games to play and nice fire centerpieces on the tables.
3 year Anniversary
magic show was excellent
Hidden gem, great food and service. Have to try the s’mores for dessert
My grandchildren and I ate at the Loft after the magic show. The chicken piccata was amazing. They altered mine to be gluten free. After dinner we enjoyed cooking our own smores at the table. It was so much fun.
Wonderful service and our server was outstanding, cheerful, energetic and so friendly.
Food was excellent and the darker lighting added to the great ambiance.
If you go, get the s’mores!!!
The staff were wonderful and polite. Food was delicious. Had the wild boar cannellini and butternut squash ravioli w/ walnut and brown sage sauce.
Dessert was ok. Had the limoncello ale mode and chocolate tort. Both were simple but good. The s'mores was by far the highlight of the dessert. Tonnes of fun and a crowd pleaser
We ate here before seeing Magic Fusion! Both the restaurant and the show were excellent! Show was perfect for the whole family and restaurant was amazing for the adults, and ok for the kids. We had a party of nine and all the adults LOVED their meal...kids were a little more picky, but found something they liked! We will definitely be back next year when we visit Lake Tahoe!
