Our server, Chris, made our 50th very special. We hadn't been to the Lodge b4 and it was the perfect venue for our anniversary. Magnificent Pines outside and expansive views, quiet dining in small rooms, great food and personal service. All together wonderful. Thank you.

Always consistent. Wonderful food and great service from Tess, our waitress. Love that if we go early it is nice and quiet enabling us to have a conversation.

We loved this place. We like to eat healthy options and this place offered organic beef and organic vegetable options. I ordered the beef short ribs - so I was surprised when my plate came an there were no ribs on it - only a melt in your mouth slice of deliciousness that must have been attached to a rib at some point. The flavors played well together and the presentation was nice (to those who don't like their food to touch you might want to make that a special request). I eat gluten free and was given several options. I would definitely like to go again and try something else on the menu.

We enjoyed a casual evening with friends. Everyone was able to find an item to meet their needs and desire. We were even offered a hamburger without a bun and wrapped in lettuce for those who wanted to watch carbohydrates. Good evening had by all.

We advised via Open Table that we were celebrating our 44th anniversary at the Lodge, and mentioned it to our waiter, who we know from prior visits and is a great guy; however, they had no idea it was our anniversary and didn't do anything special to acknowledge it. A little disappointing.

Convenient for those residing in Tahoe Donner.
If not for the tent the views of the area are great.
Menu is pretty limited, but specials are pretty reasonable.

Terrific baked Alaskan Halibut as a special. Short rib was overdone, but still tasty. Wine list leaves a lot to be desired, limited selections. Most menu items are very over-priced.

We had never heard of the lodge but we made a reservation and went by online comments. It was a beautiful view of the golf course, great service, and the food was outstanding.
I had the Reuben sandwich and it was the best one that I have ever had along with the bacon bloody Mary. I took it home and heated it up for dinner about six hours later and it was still delicious
Also Peggy our waitress was very sociable and give good service

I’ve been here a few times but usually sit in the bar and just come for drinks and apps. Came here Saturday evening for dinner with friend. Good meal, great service. I did think some of the entrees were overpriced. There was a wedding in the tent below the deck. A nice event I’m sure but I did find it disappointing the the tent blocks some of the beautiful view that we enjoy from the deck.

We enjoyed again a great hamburger. Service was perfect and for a Monday night it was very quiet. Enjoyed our meal and were pleasantly surprised to be escorted by a mother and baby bear to our car. Staff came out to scare them away with load noise from banging pots. Every one was fine.

The service was surprisingly fast! We were greeted immediately and effectively from a very attentive staff. The food even came out within 10 minutes of ordering. We had a seat by the window, which would have normally been a nice view of the golf course, but there was a party tent that blocked the entire view. I would definitely come back for another nice meal there.

My boyfriend and I shared the ahi tuna poke and the thai noodle bowl. Both were great portions for the two of us and very tasty.

Service from kitchen slow but not terrible. Ahi poke was great. All the food was great actually. No dinner salad on menu though, which is weird. I had salmon which was excellent but, not enough vegetables on plate, 2 Spears of asparagus. At least put three on there.

The Lodge in the summer is a great place for outdoor dining. The outdoor deck overlooks the beautiful golf course, and the umbrellas provide shade during the warmer hours of the day. We love The Lodge any time of year, though, for its delicious and inventive cuisine. friendly and professional staff, and its comfortable, relaxing decor. This visit was as perfect as all the other meals we've had here. There are some excellent salads on the menu in the summer, and the heirloom tomato is always a favorite. I had the "taco", which in summer is more of a grilled burrito made with fresh grilled fish and a delicious pineapple slaw. served with a fresh corn salad. In winter, this is a true "taco", but they change it up in summer. Either preparation is always yummy. My husband had the pasta special, which was fresh pappardelle with shrimp and speck ham in a creamy sauce. I love the fresh pasta here, it's cooked al dente, and is as good as my own.

We shared the grilled lemon pound cake with ice cream, and it was the perfect end to a summer meal. Service was friendly and professional as always - the staff are wonderful here. They enjoy their jobs and want you to have a good experience. Can't say enough good things about The Lodge; we own property in Tahoe Donner and eat here every time we visit.

Everyone enjoyed our meal. The caprese was excellent and the cocomijo was refreshing. My daughter ordered the grilled chicken breast and would have it again. The kids missed the wiki stix that the staff used to hand out. My fish of the day was delicious and my husband's fish taco was delicious as well...although it was more of a fish burrito ;)

What a great experience at this restaurant! Our server was amazing, the food was incredible, great wine but the best part was the kids menu. It is so refreshing to go to a restaurant and have something other than chicken strips and burgers for the kids to choose from. My 8 and 10 year old ordered the fresh catch from the kids menu and raved the whole time! I was happy to pay a reasonable $13 for a nice piece of salmon and a fresh, tasty meal for my kids. The outdoor seating is beautiful. Our whole family can't wait to go back!
