The Lobby Lounge @ The Langham Hotel Pasadena
The food and service were absolutely amazing. We went for afternoon tea to celebrate my friend’s birthday so we received a complimentary dessert plate for the birthday guest. Service was lovely and our teacups were never empty and constantly refilled by our server. Definitely recommend this tea place!
I had a wonderful experience as always and look forward to returning. The music being played however through faulty, poor connection speakers in the lobby lounge was irritating to listen to, as the music would have been lovely had it not been coming from a broken speaker. Certainly there’s an AV person on staff to address this?
We had Afternoon Tea at the Lobby Lounge and it was everything we had hoped for. Elegant, delicious and enjoyable. The hotel is exquisite and luxurious. The staff were welcoming and friendly. The teas and food served were so delicious and they were able to accommodate my vegetarian diet without any problem.
My friend and I were celebrating our birthdays which had occurred several months previously and we thoroughly enjoyed the experience. It was too much food for us so we took the desserts home. We both highly recommend this afternoon tea.
My guest and I really enjoyed afternoon tea
Servers are very courteous
Food is good
Jenny was amazing! Worth returning just to see her! She ensured that our tea cups were always full, and that our experience was memorable. Thank you, Jenny!
Lots of people staying at the Langham were going in and out of the doors in the lounge (they were not dining there, just using it as an entrance to the hotel), letting in all sorts of flies that would just not leave us alone. The scones, finger sandwiches, and desserts came in a tiered tray looking very nice for photos. The bread used for the sandwiches were not the best, however they still tasted nice. Our server was amazing -- our tea cups were never empty, and she was very accommodating without being too intense. As it got later into the day, more tables filled up and it started to get a lot noisier -- nearly dimsum levels. The hotel is very nice, and the Lobby Lounge is great for an intimate affair (the lighting is amazing for photos as well). I would come again to try out any other menus they might have for afternoon tea (holiday / chocolate tea / etc).
The High Tea in Pasadena! Everything is perfect ! Will recommend the table facing the window!
What was supposed to be a nice, relaxing time turned out to be interrupted by a couple and their toddler. The toddler was all over the place yelling and the parents did nothing to make her be quiet. In fact, they were smiling like it was funny. Very annoying experience.
Good ambiance, good service. Average food. Over pricey.
Excellent ambience (harpist in the background), great selection of teas (you can smell each one ahead of time in the loveliest glass containers), and my daughter thanked everyone for the "yummy treats". The sandwiches are fairly good, but can use an upgrade. The option to pair with proper Champagne ("Royal Tea") was splendid.
The tea at Langham is the best! The service is top notch and the food and tea are excellent. I chose this as the the spot to celebrate my birthday with my mom, sister and niece. It would have been wonderful expect for a couple who selfishly decided to bring a screaming toddler with them. The restaurant should have an age policy, maybe 5 and up. I have kids and I would not bring them to ruin the time for others. Other than that, it was an amazing experience.
Lovely afternoon at the Langham Hotel, a beautiful hotel to walk through and experience. The tea was delicious but we found the dessert options to be way too sweet. The chocolate ganache in both the dark and white chocolate options were overwhelming. Highlights did include the lemon curd and scone options. Nice ambience to enjoy the tea time but not a fan of the food to return or recommend for future visits.
This is definitely one of the. Eat afternoon teas in the area. We had such a pleasant afternoon treating ourselves to such a fine event!
Absolutely lovely high tea. The perfect location.
The Langham is an awesome location, well maintained and great ambiance.
However, a few improvements at the afternoon tea venue would make the experience even better.
The room where afternoon tea is served was uncomfortably cold. The salmon and shrimp finger sandwiches were great. Didn’t care for the Apple, and the cucumber and egg salad were very skimpily made.
It would also be great if outdoor seating were available for afternoon tea.
Birthday celebration lovely treat for my daughter
Everything was perfect.
Scones were soft and the lemon curd was a wonderful addition to the cream.
Good selection of teas.
Was lovely. We were immediately seated, our servers recommended some lovely teas, communicated everything to our table, and all of our dietary restrictions/allergies were taken into consideration. A fantastic experience.
Valentine’s Day and anniversary.
Great afternoon tea place
We came for afternoon tea and were not disappointed. Beautiful ambiance, attentive and professional staff. Tasty tea and snacks selection. The view from window is wonderful. The hotel complex is very well maintained. Highly recommended if you are into afternoon tea.
Brought my mom here for tea as she was visiting California for the first time in a decade. The staff made it so special and the tea was beautiful- Gorgeous grounds, delicious sandwiches and pastries. The perfect afternoon.
Excellent tea sandwiches and excellent Silk Road Tea. Great scones. Excellent and perfect service by Jenny, our wait staff. Comfortable, elegant surroundings. Recommend table by the window looking into the grounds garden. Looking forward to returning soon!
Wonderful service in a uniquely elegant ambiance. And the tea/food excellence to match.
Beautiful hotel, great service, great tea selections, quality of food poor
A birthday celebration. What do you get the person that already has everything? You treat them to a nice afternoon tea. Although it is fancy and very upscale, it is truly low fuss and easy. You have tea, you have champagne, you have sweet and savory... it is a perfect afternoon.
is good to food
Loved it!!! Will keep going back!!! The server Luis was very knowledgeable and gave great suggestions
The price did not seem reasonable compared to other venues
Very nice hotel to have afternoon tea. The food was good, with a buffet style chocolate fountain and dessert bites. The grounds are lovely as is the surrounding neighborhood. Nice place for afternoon tea!
Nice place to eat and meet friends
Unfortunately the afternoon tea did not meet our expectations. The seating was very uncomfortable, there was no garden to view, there were no acceptable flower arrangements on the table, and the curtains and walls were dirty and stained. The overall atmosphere was shabby and the food was not exceptional for the price charged. We will not recommend this afternoon tea to our family and friends.
I love The Langham! I have been here a couple of times before, but never for High Tea, and my friend and I found it perfect for our first official business meeting!
Worst tea experience ever. Far more expensive than the Bel Air Hotel, but not nearly as good. Avoid tea here at all costs, they just do not understand it. They tried to pass off whipped cream as clotted cream and used cheap tea bags rather than decent tea, not that it made a difference as the boiling water would have ruined decent tea anyways. The food was even worse, but I think I have said enough.
I was very disappointed by this experience. The tea was never hot, the sandwiches were really bad. The cucumber sandwich was a tiny, thin piece of bread, the one slice of cucumber was thin enough to see through, and zero seasoning. Almost all the savory items were bland and boring.
The scones were pretty good. The sweets were ok but too many.
For that price it should have been exceptional. And it was not even close.
An experience to remember. The staff made our anniversary extra special and memorable. We would definitely go back.
Tea was absolutely wonderful! The china was beautiful. The tea and food delicious. The service was great! This is the way to do tea in California!
the afternoon tea in lobby is a very good place for girls date, we got a perfect view seat there. the service is perfect too, but the food is not good enough we think.
Beautiful hotel and grounds, great food, awesome service. A little pricey but worthwhile for a nice, chill afternoon nibbling food and sipping tea/champagne.
Most likely one of the best tea services in Los Angeles this is a former Ritz Carlton property and wonderfully decorated with A rich southern California history. The hotel and its views are simply breathtaking. The tea is well worth the time and money providing you a wonderful dining experience that will create a lifetime of memories
