The Lobby Ratings and Reviews
We booked thinking it was more a restaurant lounge but it's really more of a bar/club that serves food. All tables are high tops, music a bit too loud for conversation and service is mediocre. Food however was very good and especially for the price. This is a great hangout, fun- night out type of place. So if you have the right expectation you should be good to go.
My boyfriend and I went for date night and it was great! We had a good time listening to the music and playing pool. He is also from out of town the Lobby reminded him of a place he use to go to back at home in Flordia. We will certainly be back again for date night soon.
There should be an actual hostess, waiter for each table to be as attentive as can be. The prices for happy hour are extremely misleading and not competitive with other places. If you want this place to be of a higher scale, chairs are tearing in the seats, the cheesecake needs to be thrown out. This place can be highly successful if the right things are out in place.
This was my first time in a restaurant/bar where men are patted down in a weapons-check at the door. No, I'm not kidding. Food was bar-type food and the soup was fine, as were the entrees we ordered. As bar food goes, it was average. Service was slow and haphazard...bring the food, ask for flatware, they bring that then you have to ask for a napkin-type place.
We were there mid-week and the ambiance was a bit flat, but so it goes with most restaurants mid-week. Looked to me like this place is likely hopping with dodgy characters at the weekend (color-changing lighted chandelier was a clue) but certainly not my cup of tea.
The bouncer at the door patting men down was a definite turn-off and as soon as the last morsel passed my lips, I was out the door. Dodgy.
Great food and awesome atmosphere. Great service. Some of my friends have complained that it's too loud and that they play too much Spanish music but all I have to say to that is that Lobby is a sports bar and located in Elizabeth which is a town of mostly Hispanics or of Hispanic descent.
Aside from one rude Hostess at the front, I really like this place! Our server was really nice and gave us a good deal on our bottles! It's a perfect fusion of nightclub & bar! The outside patio is nice and perfect during those summer nights! I do recommend this place and will be back!
Made reservations for 6, got there early and the reception was cold, the place was empty but they didnt want to sit us early. when we convinced them to sit us they out us at a table which buy the window and the sun was setting, we asked not to sit there because of the. glare, they would not move us. They need to but blinds and or shades if you are going to make people sit in the sun. food was god and waiter was good, but the reception and where we sat ruined our experience . The place was still empty when we left, they could have sat us elsewhere
first of all just a book and reserve a table take me 2 weeks because people get seen a call back for somebody in particular instead of offering call back. they advertise tall tower vases drinks for $40 but tall tower vases were broken from washing incorrectly and I could have the drink I wanted. I suggested putting in pitchers they said it couldn't do that. they were not willing to accommodate for the tall drink in any way an offer that me and my girlfriends share one drink together. I told the manager I don't share drinks with my girlfriends its not that kind of party. I kindly got up and took my entire party with me and we all left. We went to another restaurant.
Took my father here for father's day. Although the music was very loud it was such a nice venue aesthetically we didn't mind talking at a few octaves higher then usual. The food was reasonably priced and delicious!!!! The drinks were well made but I just wished I had saw my waiter more often. When she did come around she was polite but she only came around after I asked 6 other waiters if they could get my waitresses. Other then that I had a ball and so did my dad. Definitely going to go back and try something new on the menu. Hopefully I get a waitress that's a little more attentive.
Had an array for apps, each one delicious! Too bad the service ruined it. From the entrance, hostess was not inviting. Waitress was by bar on her cell phone Mia the entire time. Place had only 3 tables and it took the bartender 15 mins to pour us two drafts.
Came here on Valentine's Day with a girlfriend of mine and we had a blast! Great music, as. the dj played a mix of hip hop, reggae, Spanish, etc. There was no cover charge for females but only $10 for males. Valet parking was $5. Very inexpensive place with a great vibe. Awesome place to eat, dance. and socialize.
The ambiance was nice. The food was ok (could have been better) But the service sucked!!! The waiter was extremely slow with EVERYTHING! I had to find him for anything we needed and when I did find him he took forever to come back. Overall, I dont think i'll be going back.
Been twice. .1st time it was all good. This time the food was not very good.it was all prepackaged and your pina colada was made with a store brought mix..need to step it up and make real drinks and hire a chef for your prices and what people end up spending. But the atmosphere was awesome. .
I stopped here right before my trip to London. Its conveniently located on route 1 literally right next to Newark Airport. It's lit up like Las Vegas. The food was prime, my steak was cooked perfectly, awesome wine selection. The decor was interesting, it has a lot of TV's, very nice large bar, it was like a cross between a Restaurant and a Sports Bar but my favorite had to be the Jackson Pollock perfectly placed at the entrance. Staff is very friendly and easy on the eyes. It also seemed to be getting a bit live as I had to depart to make my flight. I think this place may turn into somewhat of a Lounge late night. Overall a phenomenal venue. I will be back again.
