The food was great. Service was not so great. We had to ask for our waiter to come to our table. Once we received the waiter, he was very attentive but we should not have to ask for the waiter.
Very loud- hard to hear across a table or server. Food was mediocre in quality and taste. Village bread is always a win, but I don’t think I will go back just for the bread. Ordered veal piccata and veal was tough- eggplant Napoleon- fried crawfish on top were cold and tough- not freshly fried for sure. Just disappointed.
10 of us went to celebrate my birthday and it was all quite enjoyable. We had our own little room which was great. The food was excellent and the bread goes without saying. The only complaint I heard was that The after dinner coffee was old or Burnt, but I don’t drink coffee so it did not much matter to me. I like the location, the food, And the server who waited on us was excellent and so was her help.
It was my first time eating here. I read a lot of mixed reviews. I made reservations so there was no wait time for a table. Everyone was friendly and we enjoyed our dinner.
Our servers were the best! Everything was timed perfectly. That bread was so delicious we ordered a second one! I selected "quiet" for the noise level, but we had such a fun, happy time (laughing and talking with each other) that others near us may have selected noisy! :-)
Our book club met and were able to have quiet discussions. Our waiter was very attentive and helpful. The best part of the experience was “the bread” which is out of this world!
Great evening and delicious food!
My food was good but the pasta tasted a little underdone. The greens were fantastic. I wish our waiter was around a little more but overall he did a great job. I enjoyed dessert so much and highly recommend the cannoli. I wish you had a rose or sparkling rose on the menu.
Wonderful food atmosphere as always. Peyton was great
We had a great time here. They gave a private table ,we were 8.
We ordered after drinks. Waiter was so good he even told us take our time ordering.
So the food was hot and yummy. Had a great time!
Romantic atmosphere, great service
Village bread and seared tuna was great. Ordered filet mignon for main course, great cut of meat and cooked perfectly
Our servers were great as was the food. My partner was in a wheelchair and they helped us get situated.
The best I can say is that the tea and bread were very good. Service and food were terrible. I will never waste money there again. First and last time.
Amazing service and the food is sooooo good! Make sure to get the Village Bread!!
I had a party of 9. Service was excellent. Very friendly and knowledgeable about special menu items. Order was taken and delivered without error. We ordered multiple appetizers, salads, drinks and main courses from Italian specials to steaks. Food was prepared to order and served all at once at the proper temperature.
The Palermo Filet and the Veal Piccata were excellent as always. Service was fun and attentive. Great experience.
Service: Excellent, as always.
Food: We started off with the beef arancine, which was the first time we tried this appetizer - love their red sauce!! It was a great choice. Of course, the house salad is a must and the bisque never disappoints. Our main course was the sea bass and speckled trout. We loved both our dishes and they were perfect portions for a late dinner. Definitely filling.
Can't wait to return to order the bread - nothing else quite like it! YUM!
Atmosphere: The noise level wasn't too bad this visit & had the perfect ambiance.
It's one of our favorite places to go, either as a couple or with friends!
Been there several times. This is my wife's favorite Italian restaurant in Baton Rouge
Always a good experience. Food and service is wonderful. This restaurant is my wife's favorite for her valentine's birthday.
Seafood was watery from being frozen. Food not at the value of the cost. Waitress even said people come just for the bread which was over priced and taste was average. Wait staff was excellent though as was the atmosphere.
Valentine’s Day lunch. Our entrees were seafood cannelloni and beef tenderloin. First time to try these dishes and they were both delicious. Of course no trip to the Little Village is complete without village bread with roasted garlic and teppenade.
Food was excellent as always. Bread is outstanding.
The bread is divine!!!! It is a must! Get a whole loaf even if it’s just two people.
Food and service was excellent
It was a lovely meal and dining experience. My only quibble is that I felt the table was "rushed" by the servers. The entree was served before we finished our salads and we had to juggle plates to make space. It felt like we were being "pushed" a little bit and I do not appreciate that when it happens. Otherwise, the food was wonderful and the environment was lovely. Please caution your wait staff on "pushing" their clients.
Absolutely amazing and delicious! We came for an early 47th year Valentines dinner! Still in love! : ) We were not offered the Valentines Dinner Special but I heard a waitress near by telling the couple she was serving. That being said, I came for the bread and the Veal Parmesan anyway! ha So no chance changing my mind with the special : ) Great evening and even had take home so enjoyed it all over again the next day! I have already told 10 friends to be sure and come have dinner with you!
This was the Best Food!! This is our new “go to” place for Special Occasions.
Server was loud and inserted herself into the dinner. Not enjoyable for a relaxing meal or celebration. Bread best part of dinner. Food not the good. Would not recommend.
The Bread with garlic & olive spread is an absolute must!
Great ambiance. Seafood Arancini was great. Speckled trout was great! Veal was terrific.
Atmosphere at Little Village on Airline is too hectic for me.
We had an amazing brunch, service was perfect!! Thanks
Definitely one of our favorite restaurants. The bread is to die for. Great drinks. The sea bass special is very good. Excellent service.
Always excellent food. The service, which has always been good, was exceptional this evening. Our waiter, I believe named Michael (it’s been a couple of weeks) was hard working, jovial and went above and beyond to make our dining experience special. The manager went out of his way in assisting our wine selection.
Awesome service!! Delicious food!! Always a great time!!
They never disappoint! We had a beautiful wine and delicious filet’s!
We enjoy the food and the atmoshere at the Little Village every time we dine there. My wife and I took the grandsons. They enjoyed the special bread and the meat balls and speghetti. Nomatter which dish you order you will not be disappointed.
Specifically request a table that is not near the front door. We were seated next to the hostess station (loud) and next to the wine storage that is opened frequently and shines a bright light directly on the table. Not exactly the romantic ambience for which one might choose this restaurant.
