We had a great time. The meal was wonderful. The service spectacular! Highly recommend.
Wonderful little restaurant, fab food and fab service. Will definitely be back on our next trip to NYC!
Gracious about us running late due to transit issues and committed to working it out. Delicious food in a super cozy space.
We could tell that they were waiting for our table to combine for a large group. We were not close to being finished. Both my friend and I are former restaurant people. The manager came over and explained that the large group came very late for their reservation. She offered to move us and pick up our tab for our drinks. We were happy to help and appreciated our complimentary beverages
Our favorite NYC restaurant! Lamb shank was amazing.
Loved the location and the food was excellent. We really enjoyed the risotto and our server was always there when we needed something.
Very nice lunch with family and friend. Quick service and wonderful atmosphere. Highly recommend.
One of the best you can find in the intimate-type dining establishments.
Food is outstanding and the service level is top notch.
Get a reservation, you will need it!
What a delightful little restaurant! The food in this place is just wonderful. We had the risotto to start and the pork chop for main - the Little Owl is apparently for the famous for the latter and you can see why. It's not an exaggeration to say it is one of the best chops I've ever eaten. The atmosphere in the Little Owl is also fantastic. Definitely book well ahead (up to month) to ensure you get a table - this is one to look forward to.
We loved it! The staff was very friendly and attentive. The menu choices were varied and delicious. We were in town from Oklahoma and had read a comment about it from Iron Chef Michael Symon. We will be back!
Early birthday present
A favorite in the city
Food was fabulous, but felt hurried and rushed. Definitely trying to turn the tables as quickly as possible. My husband summed it up perfectly “our dinner arrived quicker than it does at McDonalds”; our reservation was at 6:30 and our entrees were delivered to us at 6:46.
It was nice place and great food. I’m glad to was in friend birthday there
Great as always!
Always great ! No trip to NYC would be complete without a visit to Little Owl..
Overall it was good. I had the fish and it was extremely salty. Otherwise the rest of the meal was good.
The Little Owl was charming in ambience, friendly and professional in service, and delectable in food offerings. I recommend it.
Our annual Holiday trip to NYC from WDC always includes dinner at The Little Owl. TLO never disappoints! This time we tried the chicken and the halibut. Wonderful.
Nice Thanksgiving dinner in the city
Loved this restaurant! Had booked a table for dinner but when we arrived they were running a little late and our table wasn't ready. As it is very small there wasn't much room to wait inside so went for a short walk and came back 10 minutes later. Table still wasn't ready so really friendly and welcoming manager offered us a complimentary drink while waiting. After another wait we were then offered complimentary appetisers at seats at the bar. Eventually we were shown to our table and enjoyed delicious main courses and desserts. Really nice atmosphere in the restaurant and that coupled with the manager's friendliness and also that of our server made this a very enjoyable night out after the slightly faltering start.
A local gem that never disappoints. Delicious, fresh ingredients that deliver a flavorful meal. The staff is courteous without being over-solicitous.
Recommend making a reservation, as the West Village is a booming weekend brunch area and often long lines. Very friendly/professional service; especially appreciated not being rushed. Food was delicious (surf and turf tacos). Decent wine list. Small place with tables fairly close, so a bit hard to carry on a conversation.
The Little Owl was magnificent as usual. You cannot go wrong with their Pork Chop and Butter Beans, and the Short Rib special was to die for. Teresa sets a warm and friendly vibe that makes this my favorite small restaurant in NYC, and we return on almost every trip back to the city.
Excellent food and service. Friendly, informed staff with great advice as to food choices. It was our first time and we were treated like regulars
Lovely wee place. Great location, great food and great staff
A charming West Village spot - small, quaint, and cozy but with a sophisticated American menu of seafood and heartier meat options. The food is well-prepared and nicely presented. The service is precise and unobtrusive. Entrees run in the low $30's but the food never disappoints.
This was one of my families favorite parts of our entire trip to NYC. Even our 7 and 9 year olds said so and we saw Aladdin! I reserved a brunch as a surprise for my boyfriend who is a huge fan of the show Friends and we had the most amazing brunch. They were extremely accommodating when our subway got stuck and we were late to our reservation. They went above and beyond to write on a napkin, "See! He's her lobster."(quote from the show) And hide it in his menu. The server was amazing with our girls and suggested a side of bacon which was amazing. We all said that was the best food we had ever tasted! Incredible! Oh! And we were carrying our luggage and they helped us tremendously with that. A.m.a.z.i.n.g.
Always a pleasure. A fab neighbourhood restaurant with top quality food. Never been disappointed. I recommend it to all my friends.
Always .a pleasure to come here. Wonderful that it's open for lunch -- any time of day is good for their awesome meatball sliders. And their fries ,which you may overlook, are routinely terrific -- crisp, thin-cut, fresh.
I wanted to oder everything on the menu! And the service was great too.
Casual ambience, neighborhood feel, active vibe, excellent food. The lamb shank and the pork chop are outstanding. The onion soup is divine. Wine list has many good Italian wines in the $50-80 range that match the food. Definitely worth the trip and we will return. Great dinner there.
Lovely west village gem..always a warm welcome and excellent dishes.
Love Little Owl!! Can't wait to go back! Always feel at home...
This was our second time and each time it is an outstanding experience. The food and service are top notch!
Live in the neighborhood but haven’t been for many years and wanted a special place to bring my dearest friend for her bday.
Hats off.. everything was perfect! I told Miguel it was my friends bday.
He took amazing care of us.
I will be back very soon. Thank you for being a special place
Perfect from beginning to end!
We came to The Little Owl to celebrate a special occasion, and couldn't have been happier. We had let them know the details in advance and we were treated very well; the food and service were excellent, the atmosphere was very good - a really friendly neighbourhood place, but quality-wise, a big cut above. Definitely a place worth seeking out - and make sure to book in advance as it's small and cosy, and rightly gets heavily booked.
