The Little Owl
Delicious, fresh, flavorful food! We had a Saturday lunch reservation that was running a bit late, but they were professional, kind and attentive regarding the issue. We had a lovely time.
Excellent in all regards
Went to brunch on a Saturday. Food was excellent as was the service. Possibly the best omelette I’ve ever had.
Always one of our favorites for brunch!
A cozy gem with delicious food and the best service. A regular splurge for every nyc trip I take!
Booked this restaurant as our two teenagers love Friends, sadly it had no relevance to Friends except lots of people taking photos outside. Service was great and friendly staff, food very tasty but our chicken dish was small for the price. Great Chips.
Intimate neighborhood restaurant in West Village. Food was absolutely delicious with interesting and diverse menu choices. Service was on spot and attentive. Do not look at the desert because you will order something! Wine selections are good, but limited. Wish we lived in NYC as this would be a go-to place for us.
The coziest little brunch place!! The service was amazing and the food was INCREDIBLE. Highly recommend the French toast!!
Love the ambiance and food here but the service wasn't up to par this past visit.
Lovely food. Lovely atmosphere. Lovely service. I travel from SF to NY a couple of times a year and one constant is to always try to have a dinner at Little Owl. It’s so perfect in every way!
Anytime we visit the city, we never miss the Little Owl. Of course the meatball sliders are wonderful... but the brick chicken..... one of the best things ANYWHERE.
Special neighborhood gem that always delivers with excellent food and service
Felt rushed by the server through the entire meal. The risotto had no taste despite the truffle, super bland.
Birthday & Valentine’s Day
Wonderful in every way
Great very great
Always great to eat here! The staff is friendly and the food is excellent.
Intimate dining in delightfully cozy atmosphere. Food was delicious though not distinctive. Would go back. Loved the neighborhood in which the little owl is located!
Little Owl is our favorite restaurant in the city and has been our go-to at least a couple of times per year around our birthdays. Experience was perfect as always!
Excellent menu and perfect service. The staff is very personable and efficient which along with the well prepared food makes a delightful dining N.H. experience.
The food was wonderful. In addition, I happen to mention that it was my birthday and I received the warmest, loveliest reception. Not only did I get a complementary drink and a complementary acknowledgment of my birthday, but they were very very warm and friendly people I was dining alone and I felt very welcomed in this lovely restaurant.
Lovely little place in the West Village. Great food and excellent service.
Our dinner was very enjoyable. We loved our server(Jen) and the food and service were excellent. Can’t wait to return and to see her at 54Below.
Excellent. Coming back for sure
From the moment I first ate here, maybe ten years ago, I’ve always loved the vibes and the dishes they serve out at this small, West Village mainstay. It’s part of a group that also includes The Clam, which is also consistently ace.
Had the most delicious skate sandwich with coleslaw and tarragon last weekend at Little Owl. It was epic.
Check it out.
Back for dinner here after a long hiatus. Simply superb - the food, the service, and, most of all, the welcome when we arrived. Every bite was delicious, from the sliders and pear-blue cheese salad to the main courses of salmon and halibut to the dessert of bread pudding. Yes, it's an expensive night out, but worth every penny. We can't what to go back.
The staff were very welcoming. It’s a lovely intimate setting and the food was delicious. A really nice touch from the chef giving us a plate each with each of the two dishes we were sharing! Also a great place to visit if you’re a fan of friends, the block was the block Monica’s flat was set inside.
The food was GREAT. The service was outstanding. A little noisy, but we could not have had a nicer evening.
As always, Little Owl offers the best service and the finest food in a jewel box of a restaurant that I will return to again and again -- as long as I can get in!!!
Awesome food great service
Always memorable. May be slightly easier to secure brunch reservations. A go-to fir a relaxing Sunday.
Lobster “bisque” was not a bisque at all - thin as broth. Food overall was rather pedestrian at an expensive price.
Very quaint restaurant located at the bottom of the Friends apartment building. Very small a quite tight when crowded, but the food is awesome and very unique! Great place to bring a date or your wife.
Ordered the pork chops and parts of it were ice cold. Also got the risotto and it was definitely under cooked—> very very al dente
We always have a great time at the Little Owl and food and service is always superb!! This time we felt is was extremely congested and noisy. Maybe Friday night is just too busy for us!!
We still loved our experience and will return!!
It’s good food and nice place but I’m not fond of places rushing me out with giving me the check even before I’m done with my dessert drink (cappuccino). I was there for like an hour! Give me a break. You should give people 2 hours for that kind of price.
Whenever i go to NYC i make a point of eating at The Little Owl! Have been many times and have never been disappointed . Menu changes with seasons and food is always unique, fresh, and delicious!! Staff is friendly, courteous, and helpful. Restaurant is very small so make sure you make a reservation in advance. You will not be disappointed!!! Enjoy!!
Cozy small space gets noisy but food good.
Every time we go to New York we have either lunch or dinner. It's just one of those friendly little restaurants you just love going back to over and over again.
