The matre d was too busy with a regular customer who arrived after my party to greet us and take our coats properly. The waitress was perfunctory and spilled water when pouring. The water waiter was the only one with any real politeness. The food was disappointing; I have eaten here a few times in the last three years. It is not the quality I remember and is also now very expensive. We had one of the meals removed from our bill. Sadly, I will not be returning as there are many restaurants now serving better cooked food, with more congenial staff.
We loved it! The service and food was fantastic. We ordered an app, main course, and dessert and everything came out in a timely manner. Would definitely recommend.
Just wonderful as always!’
The food was great and cute venue! Our waiter was extremely professional and nice
Yummy, big portions. A nice, chill spot for lunch.
Great little corner restaurant. Sat at the bar on the end by the window - comfy chair, nice view. I had the Duck app and eggplant parm which were outstanding; wife had the veal stew, good flavor but heavy on the noodles, light on the stew. Nut allergy eliminated many of the dessert choices, so we skipped that course. Overall, highly recommend.
Amazin food in an amazing location as always. The food is always so tasty and fresh! Great work!
Although seating was extremely tight, had to get up to allow diners to get past and my jacket got splashed with water, the whole experience was otherwise quite pleasant.
The food and service were excellent!
My favorite restaurant in the world. So very, very special. The food is great and the staff is even better. Consistent every single time I have been there.
Charming spot. The people could not have been nicer. All five of us enjoyed our dinner. The sliders were a Big hit.
Nice Little place with really good food and service! Its popular so book a table, totally worth more than one visit.
Never disappoints. Just a great place. The burger is phenomenal.
Small and crowded. However, the branzino with lobster paella was outstanding.
Excellent wine list.
Very good food , went there because of the série , to surprise my daughters
Climatisation Too cold in the space
Lot of noise , especially because of the music level
In NYC with my granddaughter. This is a beautiful small restaurant which is under the building featured in the TV programme Friends. The setting, the atmosphere and the food were all perfect. In my favourite part of town. Highly recommended.
the food is freshly served! even all the way to the orange juice being freshly squeezed. I originally came here because im a huge fan of friends but the food was actually the best breakfast i’ve had on my trip here
Such an incredible gem !!
We came here for our anniversary dinner and the food was really good, but what stood out the most was the incredible service. We felt very well taken care of and the whole staff was professional and warm. We really enjoyed our dinner here.
Perfect little place with great food & friendly service!
We absolutely LOVE this place. We randomly stumbled upon this spot a year ago and we have been hooked. They food is innovative and flavorful. The staff is friendly and all around great. The Little Owl is a neighborhood favorite and the repeat clientele solidifies it’s place as a Village standard. If you’re lucky enough to get the corner window seat, congrats!
Been to Little Owl a few times over the years, should come more often! The hostess let us sit down before they officially opened for dinner. Service was terrific, very friendly. Food was great- my husband said it was the best eggplant parm he ever had. The vegetables are always spectacular too.
Experience did not match the rating on this restaurant. Very unimpressive experience and food.
Lovely little place but felt very rushed. We spent around$70 for brunch and as soon as we had the last mouthful the bill was placed and everything cleared. We would have appreciated maybe 10 minutes to digest our food before leaving. We pre booked - there were a few people waiting outside who hadnt so we shouldnt have felt the need to leave immediately. I noticed “locals” drinking just coffee who were left alone and not forced to rush. We even had to ask for another coffee! This was the only thing that spoilt our visit as the food and place lovely just felt like i was on a production line.....
It’s not often as a non meat eater to have a menu with so many fish and vegetarian options it was hard to choose. Everything was delicious! Friendly service and relaxed ambience. Loved it.
We had booked a reservation at 5:15PM for my birthday thinking that the restaurant would be quiet.
We had eaten at the restaurant in 2015 and found it a quiet space for conversation with wonderful food.
We were shocked that the cozy restaurant space has transformed into a noisy venue with loud music and conversation. It was discomforting and unpleasant for dining.
This is my go-to place! Always delicious, no matter the time of day or menu, and I love the cozy atmosphere.
Amazing dinner!!! The Parmesan eggplant is a must!!!!
Our waiter was exceptional!
Great food from beginning to end 👍
Awesome!! As usual. Best place nyc.
It’s very conducive to a comfortable meal with friends. The Turkey meatloaf and the chocolate soufflé cake were delicious, service was good, and the sun streaming in through the large windows was lovely.
We changed the booking time and the owner was very polite and accomodating! He offered us tea and prosecco while we were waiting for our table to ne prepared! The street is very special and the place has such a good vibe!
The food and service is always amazing.
We were there to celebrate our anniversary. The staff hit the mark with their attentiveness, notwithstanding that, the food was excellent. I highly recommend The Little Owl.
Outstanding food and service. We will definitely return during our next visit to New York City!
The most amazing place. One of my most favorite meals in my life. Outstanding food, such a warm welcome.
I think I would recommend the little owl as food & service was ok. But the price for what it was, was very very high. I wouldn’t say it was a high end restaurant, food ok, nothing really special special. But was charged nearly €500. We went to better restaurants and was charged a fraction of that price. Overall I would recommend but would warn them about the price.
Small wait but totally worth it. Friendly, quick service and a great atmosphere for a brunch vibe. Romantic as well.
This place is quintessential West Village adorable. The service was extremely friendly and attentive. I had the poached eggs (Benedict although a variation) and it was absolutely delicious. The coffee was superb. The only reason I knocked off a star was because the pancakes my son ordered were a bit dry, and that is a big deal for brunch. Otherwise, I would rate this place 4.5 stars. Still definitely worth a visit.
We had a wonderful experience here from the moment we walked in, we were greeted with a warm welcome. We sat near the door and everyone who walked in was greeted the same way. The server was exceptional and so was the food. We had a house made cavatelli appetizer special, salmon and halibut entrees with a side of Brussels sprout hash, and shared the beignets and apple cranberry crisp for dessert. The entire waitstaff worked so well in such a a small and cozy space, they made it seem effortless. We had a completely enjoyable experience, never felt rushed, and will certainly return!
