The Little Owl
AMAZING - Great food, ambiance, location, etc. Will definitely be back again
Very good food, service and ambiance, but loud. Poor acoustics
Fantastic meal. I had a delicious pork chop, my wife a beautiful piece of halibut... the service is as always wonderful.
Just a great neighborhood place with wonderful ambience, amazing creative food, excellent service. It was also fun watching the tours look at the 'Friends' apartment building.
Great little spot, the food/service was wonderful!
went there for anniversary. reservation was 7:30pm but 30min wait.
last time I was here was a decade ago so didn't remember who noisy there could be.
I hate to shout but had to communicate w my partner.
food is excellent yet was not very comfortable due to noise and elbow room space btwn tables
Had a lovely dinner after the theater. Food was excellent and service attentive. Small restaurant with many delicious options.
After many years of wishing that I could eat at the Little Owl, I finally got my wish and was not disappointed. The service, food and atmosphere was outstanding, and I had a great lunch. Thank you Eduardo.
Wow, the Little Owl never disappoints! We started with gravy meatball sliders (tender, flavorful meatballs), and fries with aioli (always yummy!). For mains, two of us had the crispy chicken (this is a staple at Little Owl and is prepared perfectly - the skin is salty/crispy/crunchy and the meat is tender and moist), and two of us had the lamb t-bones with greens and fontina mashies - soooo good.
If you want a perfect dining experience and delicious meal, the Little Owl is for you!
Welcome experience at door, service and food all great. Seating was very cozy you are nearly touching elbows with table next to you from many seats. Noise level very high (Saturday) mostly gave up on normal conversation.
We had an amazing time. The ladies were very friendly and got us seated after a short wait. The food was so yummy and the cocktails too. Would definitely go back again
The hostess was very friendly and accommodating, a rarity in nyc!
Amazing birthday brunch! We had to wait for our table and the hostess was beyond gracious. She brought us drinks and beignets while we waited . The food was perfect.
Super cute place in a great location. This was a repeat visit and both times very enjoyable. A little odd they charged for toast with our order - it should have been included.
Love this place. Will go back again and again.
Staff amazing and hardworking...spreading remarkable hospitality!
Food spot on!
Great food, service and ambience. Loved it!
I love this restaurant, but was disappointed when we arrived on time only to see that they were giving our table away to others without a reservation. We were a group thrilled to see each other and had much to chat about in anticipation for our dinner - but this was disappointing .
Service was excellent. Love the intimate atmosphere. Negroni cocktail was the best. Scallops special with peas/corn was delicious. Don’t miss the fries! Highly recommend.
When we arrived for our reservation our table was not yet ready so they put some seats outside, poured us some prosecco and even came out with a little bowl of fries. They kept us informed and offered a different table but we held out for the corner which was ideal. What a difference it makes when a restaurant focuses on customer service. Keeping us updated and providing a snack and drink was a perfect touch. The meal itself was wonderful from the tuscan bread with olive oil to the marvelous, not-to-be-missed meatball sliders to an amazing peach and almond crumble topped with mascarpone ice cream. It is a little space with a sweet atmosphere and great service. If I'm in New York - I try to visit The Little Owl.
The food was amazing, and the service was phenomenal!
The food is always incredible here, and I will be back for more!
Love the little owl any day of the week for any meal
Absolutely amazing meal! The steak & the snapper were both bursting with flavor. The desserts were delicious too. Charming & quaint. Perfect place to celebrate our daughter’s 13th.
Superb, all the dishes were to perfection
My skate was to die for
The bad: we had reservations, but still had to wait 30 minutes to be seated.
The good: the hostess was very gracious and comped our appetizer, dessert and coffee. She also gave us an additional dessert, beyond the one we ordered.
As always, the food was outstanding.
Always, always, always amazing...every.single.time!
We had a reservation but had to wait outside for 30. Place is tiny so I get that it’s hard to estimate when people will leave. My salmon was a little plain but good. My boyfriend really enjoyed his fish dinner and everything else was amazing.
Our second visit to this little gem of a restaurant near the Christopher Street PATH Station was as good as the first time. We arrive a few minutes before our reservation at 6 PM and the restaurant was already crowded. The service was good and we did not feel rushed. Although a bit pricey, the food and presentation were excellent. The only downside is that the restaurant is noisy.
We had such a wonderful experience at The Little Owl - from our hostess bringing us water outside while we waited for our table to be ready to a candle being placed in our brunch French Toast to celebrate a birthday. I already am planning my next visit because the service, the food and the atmosphere were all exceptional.
I am consistently surprised that I don't like The Little Owl more than I do. I keep going back, thinking that I've had an aberrant experience, but again have a just ok meal. Nothing bad, but nothing really good either. Did I order wrong? Have a bad table? Everyone else seems to like it more than me.
This place has been very very special to me as well as my family. I haven't been here for many years, probably first visit since 2014 or 2015 for dinner. The most disappointing part was food itself. Though we picked somewhat odd selections for brunch, it still wasn't meet the moderate level. My surf-turf taco wasn't fresh and beignets were so tiny. They might have better lunch or dinner menu. But, if the quality of food goes this bad, less desire to return. However, I loved the open door with well ventilating air quality and fresh atmosphere. Service was good.
Parents in town
Great food and attentive service. It is a very small space and very loud. But such good food. We had the tomato burrata special as a starter which was good but not exceptional. My husband had the lamb which is probably the best lamb I have ever had- wishing I had ordered that. I had the halibut which was very light and very tasty. Dessert was the bread pudding which was very sweet but not too chocolaty. I would definitely go back!!
The little Owl was the perfect place to celebrate a birthday! The food was delicious (though the halibut slightly overcooked), the ingredients fresh, the service excellent, and the best ambiance. Thank you, little owl!
Always great food and service!
Burger out of this world. Pizza
The Little Owl was so charming and the staff was so friendly and accommodating. A very tiny restaurant, but the food is delicious and worth a visit!
Cute restaurant but it’s a little overrated. The tables are really close together so be careful when you are getting into or out of your seats. The host is really nice as was our server. It’s a small restaurant so plan in advance as there may not be a reservation.
Fabulous as usual. Went for wedding anniversary but we go for regular nights out too. Charming lively and lovely room.Great pro staff working every job. Food is just always perfection. We split two entrees - lamb T bone and branzino. Both were wonderful. Also has salad w peaches and green beans and bread pudding. Every course was outstanding. Just go!
As always, great service and wonderful wait staff
