Our favorite restaurant in the city. Very cozy (a little too cozy some nights), the staff is warm and professional and the the food is a knockout. Order the pork chop; it will ruin every other pork chop in the world for you.
Meredith was great!
AMAzing!! Fun, ambiance and friendly staff. Close quarters.
Always enjoy our dinner here.
Thank you Catherine and Theresa and everyone else that makes it such a wonderful experience consistently!
So phenomenal. Quaint and charming. Excellent food and outstanding service. Made our daughters 12th bday a real treat!
This has become our favorite place for dinner in Manhattan. This last trip we stayed near Central Park, but decided we couldn't do NYC without going downtown to the West Village for The Little Owl! Fresh and delicious - ALWAYS.
Food is beyond divine. Service amazing. The best!!! Have the chicken!
Fantastic atmosphere, service and wonderful food .. a real treat
It was a cold Monday night, I purposely seated on the opposite side of the door but I was still feeling a lot of cold air coming in every time a new guest was coming in.
The food was good but $44 for main course in such a restaurant is I believe to expensive
Came here for brunch with my fiancé. Had an absolutely incredibly meal. The restaurant is much smaller than I expected but once we were seated I didn’t even notice anymore. Did not feel like people were dining on top of each other or anything .
The food was also amazing . We got the mushroom omelette and the poached eggs- both were cooked to perfection and so tasty .
We also ordered the beignets to split. Now I was expecting New Orleans style beignets and that’s not what they were. More like super amazing donuts which was totally fine by me . But if you’re expecting Cafe Du Monde style treats- that’s not what these are. I still recommend them because they tasted amazing and the raspberry and Nutella on them was incredible .
Little Owl turned out to be everything I had heard and wanted it to be. Truly a wonderful local place to eat a fine meal in a great quiet atmosphere.
If I could give six stars I would!
Wonderful tiny neighborhood gem with amazing and creative food!!
Nice little place in the West Village. I had beignets and my friend as poached eggs. Both were tasty. the ONLY downside was tables kinda crowded in, but that's a NYC thing more than the restaurant's fault.
Quaint, idyllic West Village icon. Always a pleasure to dine here … food top notch and very much appreciate the friendly "can do" attitude from the dedicated hostess, servers and kitchen chef/staff. Couldn't have had a nicer time for a special occasion such as this (Thanksgiving). We look forward to the next time the winds blow us through your curtained doors. Thanks again, Little Owl!
Always delicious! Great food, lovely service, my go-to Mew York restaurant.
Don't let the faux Friend's hype (not pushed by Little Owl) put you off. Unique, creative e dishes. Intimate, quaint neighborhood atmosphere. Warm and inviting. What a delight.
Manager was obnoxious. Waitress was cold. Food mediocre at best. Space incredibly cramped and uncomfortable. Will never go back.
Our very favorite spot in the West Village!!👏👏👏
Visiting the Friends buikding
Once again The Little Owl hit it out of the park. We arrived on a super busy Wednesday evening and we were greeted like old friends. Our short wait was handled with good humor and glasses of icy cold Prosecco. The small space is part of it’s big charm. Our service was superb, our meal perfection. We ordered the melt in your mouth Pork Chops and the delicious Sea bass special with lobster risotto. We split the generous and perfectly cooked scallops to start. Don’t miss out on the warm cinnamon Beignets for dessert! They were melt in your mouth amazing. A special touch of The Little Owl are the grade school pictures of everyone who works there on the wall above the bar. It adds to the family feel among all of the staff. Love The Little Owl!
This is the coziest, friendliest corner restaurant in the West Village. Service is wonderful, food delicious and amazing ambiance.
We love Little Owl and make it a point to have dinner there when we travel to NYC. This visit, however, was so disappointing. The service the gentleman provided was so terrible. It did not warrant the price of the meals. If we are paying the price, the expectation is not only that the food is terrific, but the overall experience is top notch. The service was so below par that we are seriously contemplating a return trip.
Little Owl never disappoints! Always delicious with great service
The hostess was a bit rude and the portions are very small for the price, but the food is always delicious.
Delicious, cozy and lovely. A great experience overall.
Love the little owl. They always get it right! Brunch is great but you MUST have a reservation. Small space so walking in is not recommended. Every dish I have tried is superb, so go with a couple friends and split a bunch of stuff.
Another perfect meal....and with friends, who’d never been to Little Owl before. They couldn’t stop raving about the food and the warmth of the welcome and the service. Still our favorite restaurant in NYC
The matre d was too busy with a regular customer who arrived after my party to greet us and take our coats properly. The waitress was perfunctory and spilled water when pouring. The water waiter was the only one with any real politeness. The food was disappointing; I have eaten here a few times in the last three years. It is not the quality I remember and is also now very expensive. We had one of the meals removed from our bill. Sadly, I will not be returning as there are many restaurants now serving better cooked food, with more congenial staff.
We loved it! The service and food was fantastic. We ordered an app, main course, and dessert and everything came out in a timely manner. Would definitely recommend.
Just wonderful as always!’
The food was great and cute venue! Our waiter was extremely professional and nice
Yummy, big portions. A nice, chill spot for lunch.
Great little corner restaurant. Sat at the bar on the end by the window - comfy chair, nice view. I had the Duck app and eggplant parm which were outstanding; wife had the veal stew, good flavor but heavy on the noodles, light on the stew. Nut allergy eliminated many of the dessert choices, so we skipped that course. Overall, highly recommend.
Amazin food in an amazing location as always. The food is always so tasty and fresh! Great work!
Although seating was extremely tight, had to get up to allow diners to get past and my jacket got splashed with water, the whole experience was otherwise quite pleasant.
The food and service were excellent!
My favorite restaurant in the world. So very, very special. The food is great and the staff is even better. Consistent every single time I have been there.
Charming spot. The people could not have been nicer. All five of us enjoyed our dinner. The sliders were a Big hit.
Nice Little place with really good food and service! Its popular so book a table, totally worth more than one visit.
