Recommend making a reservation, as the West Village is a booming weekend brunch area and often long lines. Very friendly/professional service; especially appreciated not being rushed. Food was delicious (surf and turf tacos). Decent wine list. Small place with tables fairly close, so a bit hard to carry on a conversation.
The Little Owl was magnificent as usual. You cannot go wrong with their Pork Chop and Butter Beans, and the Short Rib special was to die for. Teresa sets a warm and friendly vibe that makes this my favorite small restaurant in NYC, and we return on almost every trip back to the city.
Excellent food and service. Friendly, informed staff with great advice as to food choices. It was our first time and we were treated like regulars
Lovely wee place. Great location, great food and great staff
A charming West Village spot - small, quaint, and cozy but with a sophisticated American menu of seafood and heartier meat options. The food is well-prepared and nicely presented. The service is precise and unobtrusive. Entrees run in the low $30's but the food never disappoints.
This was one of my families favorite parts of our entire trip to NYC. Even our 7 and 9 year olds said so and we saw Aladdin! I reserved a brunch as a surprise for my boyfriend who is a huge fan of the show Friends and we had the most amazing brunch. They were extremely accommodating when our subway got stuck and we were late to our reservation. They went above and beyond to write on a napkin, "See! He's her lobster."(quote from the show) And hide it in his menu. The server was amazing with our girls and suggested a side of bacon which was amazing. We all said that was the best food we had ever tasted! Incredible! Oh! And we were carrying our luggage and they helped us tremendously with that. A.m.a.z.i.n.g.
Always a pleasure. A fab neighbourhood restaurant with top quality food. Never been disappointed. I recommend it to all my friends.
Always .a pleasure to come here. Wonderful that it's open for lunch -- any time of day is good for their awesome meatball sliders. And their fries ,which you may overlook, are routinely terrific -- crisp, thin-cut, fresh.
I wanted to oder everything on the menu! And the service was great too.
Casual ambience, neighborhood feel, active vibe, excellent food. The lamb shank and the pork chop are outstanding. The onion soup is divine. Wine list has many good Italian wines in the $50-80 range that match the food. Definitely worth the trip and we will return. Great dinner there.
Lovely west village gem..always a warm welcome and excellent dishes.
Love Little Owl!! Can't wait to go back! Always feel at home...
This was our second time and each time it is an outstanding experience. The food and service are top notch!
Live in the neighborhood but haven’t been for many years and wanted a special place to bring my dearest friend for her bday.
Hats off.. everything was perfect! I told Miguel it was my friends bday.
He took amazing care of us.
I will be back very soon. Thank you for being a special place
Perfect from beginning to end!
We came to The Little Owl to celebrate a special occasion, and couldn't have been happier. We had let them know the details in advance and we were treated very well; the food and service were excellent, the atmosphere was very good - a really friendly neighbourhood place, but quality-wise, a big cut above. Definitely a place worth seeking out - and make sure to book in advance as it's small and cosy, and rightly gets heavily booked.
I wasn't bowled over by The Little Owl. It had been on my list for some time and I am glad that I went, but it didn't exceed any expectations. I would say it stands out because it has very good gluten-free options. However, they could stand to turn the heat up a little bit. My friend and I sat at the table in front of the door and even when there were not people entering/exiting it was quite cold.
Excellent service and fabulous food
When we booked to visit New York again after our first trip 4 years ago, Little Owl was top of our places to revisit. It was just as good if not better than I remembered and a perfect way to spend our final night in New York.
Very nice atmosphere, cosy and personal. Excellent food and very good service. A bit chilly when the outdoor was open and our table was next to it.
Everything was terrific. We had a slight wait for our table and Chris the manager was beyond helpful and certainly knows how to run a restaurant.Service on a 1-10 was an 11.Food was great and we will definitely be back .
Another great evening at this beautiful restaurant. Great service and incredible food!
Last night in New York before returning to London. It was as good as I hoped! The onion soup was the best ever - but so filling! We look forward to visiting again on our next stay in Manhattan.
Very nice, the food was great
We were able to get a reservation for Sunday breakfast with only a few days’ notice. The staff was great- very friendly and accommodating. The service was lovely and low-key. And the food was delicious. And it was definitely good value what more can you want? We can’t wait to go back.
Great food, simple fresh ingredients with full flavor. Great staff! Not rushed during the meal.
I waited (3) yrs to dine at "The Little Owl" and was not disappointed! It is a little pricey and well worth it! Excellent service and food!!
Food is in fabulous, inventive and delish. Service is friendly, easy-going and not rushed. Love this place.
As usual, this fantastic neighborhood place did not disappoint. Never had a bite there that was not delicious. Cocktails are perfectly complimentary and delightful.
Good food and nice ambiance in a cozy restaurant. Service was uneven... they brought us check without asking if we wanted dessert! Found that odd as the check was 330 dollars for three people..... we probably wouldn’t have had dessert but it is nice to be asked.
Amazing food and service
Cozy little place and you can enjoy the view of all the tourist that wants to take pictures of the house itself.
Excellent service, good ambience, New York strip was the best I have tasted. Very nice area and cozy environment.
Had the bibb & beets salad, then the Sea Bass over mushroom rissotto. Had no idea that sea bass would go so well with an earthy rissotto! The lamb shank fell off the bone and tasted like slow cooked beef stew more than lamb. The service was on point and it was amusing to watch all the passersby take pictures of the building (which used as the Friends apartment).
Heat was set way too high... quality of food has kinda fallen...
There were bugs in our table all the time. Food was okay. Ambiance was overall good. Staff was friendly
Little Owl window seats are the best for people watching. There's a constant stream of tourists taking pictures at the "Friends" apartment. The food is amazing as well, and decently priced for NYC!
Always a lovely spot for breakfast when visiting NYC
This was an amazing brunch for our visit to the city
